Horrible experience. Couple screaming from 5am onwards. Man from couple appeared on the flat roof outside my window. Called security then, the night porter denied there was any noise & blamed me for not ringing sooner as security leaves at 5am. Was an awful experience. Not a nice hotel or area.

We just finished an amazing stay at this awesome Hilton Long Beach. Every single staff member was incredibly caring and attentive. The rooms were clean and had huge fluffy white towels! Each morning I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast which was served with smiles and great energy. The hard-working employees/ stars need to be complimented especially Lorraine at the loft breakfast server, Karen F at check in / front desk and Andre at the bar at night. The fact that I remember their names (I am old) enough to write it down says a lot! Keep up the great work Hilton for employing excellent people with great work ethic!

Worst Hilton property ever. The room was completely discussing with mold growing on the walls of the shower, windows looked like someone poured sewer water on then and never clean them, carpet stained everywhere, fixtures were moldy and rusted, lamp shade next to bed had giant liquid stain. PLEASE LOOK ELSE WHERE when considering a room near Long Beach! If I could give it a ZERO I WOULD!

I stayed for business beginning of August. Check-in was easy and smooth. I chose a rate with a free breakfast. Coupons were given to you at check-in, as long as 2 free bottles of water. Parking costs $27/ per day with in and out privileges'. Pool: did not use. However it did appear very spacious and clean. Plenty of lounge chairs available. no Hot Tub room: I stayed on the 12th floor over looking the Pier. It was very noisy with lots of truck traffic. The windows and walls are very thin so you do hear your neighbors above, next to you, as well as all the traffic outside. Bed was very big and had 4 pillows. A nice desk with chair to sit on. Very large 55" we well. Bathroom was very generous is size. Hot water arrived quickly to the shower. Water pressure is a normal California pressure. Room included a safe. Traveler tip: Request a room as far away from the elevator as possible. The noise of partiers coming back at 2am is very disturbing if you are right next to the elevator lobby. Bar/Restaurant: A mixed reaction here. The food was excellent, and very well priced for the area. The beers and liquor selection was very good for a hotel. However this is where I was unhappy. during 3 of 4 nights, the restaurant and bar could not accept a credit card for payment. cash or room charge only. When you select a room charge, you get a "Convenience fee" of $6 attached to your bill. Thats for each bill. So if you had lunch and dinner, billed it to your room, that was an extra $12 "Convenience Fee" added to your bill. Therefor the restaurant lost out on my dinner and night cap purchases due to this crazy policy. Keep in mind, like most all service industry locations, they are suffering from a lack of employment. Fitness Center: Did not visit, however is was on the second level next to the pool Breakfast: Huge selection available. From scratch ordered eggs and omelets, grits, bacon, ham and toast. A variety of cereal as well. A great selection, but its extremely pricy - be prepared. Overall a solid 3. The hotel is very old, and was once an office complex, which I think is whey the windows and walls were so thin. Will not stay again. there are several other hotels in the area that have a much more solid offering and customer service.

I booked this room for a pre-cruise stay. I paid extra to book connecting rooms. Upon arrival there is no one at the front desk that seems to know what they were doing. It took about 20 minutes to check in. Once entering the room we noticed many things that were broken Including the toilet paper roll holder, the toilet seat, the draperies were off the track, the carpet was stained. We needed a rollaway so I ordered it immediately. An hour later I called back to check on the status I was told they don’t even have Rollways. When I asked why I was told they had roll away to begin with no one seem to know , all new employees. We then ordered blankets to make a little pallet on the floor for my granddaughter that took approximately two hours. all in all the room was tired and needed updating and fixing and they need better trained employees at the front desk. I would not stay here again. Also in case anyone’s wondering there’s absolutely nothing nearby except the freeway. If you want anything you have to take an Uber nothing is within walking distance.

I have stayed at this hotel on a corporate account and must say I have been extremely disappointed every time. The rooms are tired and not well kept. On my last stay the toilet did not function properly and the shower handle was loose and nearly broken off in my hand. On top of that it was musty smelling. Carpets are stained and need to be replaced. One stay they forgot to tell me they were turning the water off at 10pm and back on at 4am. - ooops - big miss on that one. The lobby is generally dirty and poorly managed. So unfortunate for a brand that generally stands behind its client experience. I have stayed at their flagship in McLean VA. What a difference - I recommend that experience to everyone. BUT DO NOT STAY AT THE LONG BEACH HILTON - UNTIL THEY DECIDE TO INVEST IN IT AGAIN. BTW they almost finished cleaning the table in front of me but must have gotten distracted?

I guess I was fortunate as the ohters who recently posted had a terrible experience mine was actually quite good. This is a fully functioning Hilton as the resturant was open and we had a room on the 13th floor of a 15 floor building. They have complimentary water (and flavored water and iced tea as well) by the entrance. The rooms are modern a nice, and you can set the temperature to what you want. The phones are answered by Emily, an automated system that addresses most standard needs. Unfortunately "Emily" is unable to let you know when an order or request will be fufilled. We waited 30 minutes for more towels (The room came with two but we had four staying) and we ended up overriding Emily to call the front desk and get some towels sent up. They were helpful and appreciated. Hilton should probably rethink "Emily" and have it give an estimate time when the request will be resolved. If they cannot do that, they probably should not use the system. The building itself is in excellent shape and I would stay there again. Note that if you want to go out within 1 mile of the building they have a shuttle that will take you anywhere within that radius so you don't have to take your car out of the garage (or valet). That is a nice feature I am not sure many are aware of. The pool is an oasis in the middle of a concrete jungle with artifical grass around the pool in a secludeed roof location (second floor). The gym is standard but acceptable. They have a lot of conference rooms if you wanted to have a conference there and the resturant is fully functioning. I would stay there again.

I specifically spend extra money at the Hilton cause they provide a standard of customer service than most do. This stay was awful, just awful. Check in the lady was rude. She walked off mid conversation and completely ignored me. I had pre booked a room with a requested upgrade. Even after I called and chatted with the front desk for over an hour the day before (just one day) to make sure there wasn’t any hiccups. I got there they had already been “overbooked” which seemed like their problem not the customers and the room I selected was given away. I tried to protest but after a long day of travel I just wanted to sleep. The room to me FELT dirty and was visibly dirty. which is not like the Hilton at all. I called and complained but for this hotel I don’t think it mattered. I will never book another night in this specific hotel. Great location awful customer service - but they don’t care at all about the people who stay here.

The hotel is nice room was sufficient. Missing towels found some hairs in the bathroom. Ac was terrible.  Upon checking in they did not have my room ready I was a few hours early and understood. Was told they would call but never did so I just returned myself at 6pm. I was also never told a park fee, I figured there was one but had to ask at check out, $27 a day. It was nice to be able to bring my dog along but not much to do with her in the close area.  Overall it was an ok stay. Just minor things.

My disappointing stay began at check-in. I had used the Hilton app to pre-select a room and pre-pay for an upgrade. At the front desk, I was told they didn’t have any of that kind of room available. I protested, and finally the clerk was able to find a room - not the one I had chosen, but 5 floors higher (I prefer to be on a lower floor). I said fine, and explained that the whole point of my coming there was to see the fireworks from my balcony. At least the room was on the correct side of the building, according to the map. The front desk clerk asked me to sit in the lobby and wait. I waited about 15 minutes, then my app notified me I had a digital key ready, and the clerk was nowhere to be seen... so I went on up. The app is supposed to be able to unlock the elevators to go to higher floors, but that did not work for me. Luckily another guest swiped their key for me. I have the preference in my Hilton Honors profile for foam pillows. I assumed they would have seen this, but when I checked into my room and got ready for bed, I discovered they had not… they only had the feather pillows that compress and don’t provide adequate neck support. The bed was also terrible - obviously an old coil-spring mattress with a very thin topper. I see they are now up-charging for “wellness rooms” with allergen-free features like foam pillows, so I guess that explains it. Even though I was paying a LOT for this stay, I guess only those who pay their dumb upcharge fee will get the decent pillows! I get that the hotel industry was hurt by the pandemic, but this is ridiculous. Even besides the bed’s lackluster charms, the room itself was definitely not 4-star quality. The paint was scraped off all around the bathroom door frame, the sink was cracked, the tiles were stained or dirty, and the console was rusty along the bottom. There was no sofa, just an armchair - not even an ottoman. There was no microwave, but there was a tiny dorm fridge and a coffeemaker. The ice bucket didn't have a liner, and there was no recycling container. The balcony was roomy but the chairs were very uncomfortable. And unfortunately, I couldn’t see the fireworks from the balcony. My downstairs neighbors started partying on their balcony around midnight and I could hear them clearly through the closed door and windows. They didn’t quiet down until I asked them to keep it down around 1am. Sometime in the night, someone took the “Do Not Disturb” sign from my door. Then housekeeping started knocking around 8:45am. I had to yell “occupied” for them to leave. Why aren’t they able to see who has checked out before they go knocking on doors? All-in-all, a very disappointing stay.
