We booked a stay for a week and upon arrival we did have a minor plumbing issue which was resolved very quickly. The room was clean and had a beautiful balcony where we could sit and enjoy watching our children swim. After a couple of days we found out our work was going to end before the date that we booked so we went to speak with Tyler who was very friendly and helpful. He got us a refund for our early departure. He also got us a great deal for a future stay where we will be staying for 2 weeks. We highly recommend this hotel due to the cleanliness and the awesome customer service from the office personnel. Thank you Tyler for all your help.
March 8th 2020 I headed out for my vacation of a lifetime. 4 days at the Disneyland Grand Hotel, 20 days at Golden Sails Hotel all to celebrate my 60th birthday my family in California. Driving 3,242 miles from UpState New York to the Anaheim Hilton Hotel for a day of before starting this great adventure the hostess informs me that just 30 minutes earlier Disneyland announced they will be closing affective March 14 till April 30th. March 14th the day of my birthday. I was stranded, I called Golden Sails for a room for the days I would won not be at Disneyland. They understood the craziness that was happening and gave me a room at the discounted rate plus gave me an upgraded room. Thank you for easing my pain. I had prepaid for my 20 day stay at Golden Sails and when all of the restrictions and closures were put into effect my family and I could not go anywhere nor do anything. I made the decision it was time to go home. Again Golden Sails did the right thing and refunded me my unused money with NO cancelation fees at all. The room was very clean. The maid comes in very day to clean. Every staff member was great. I will be staying there next year for my repeat of my Birthday Trip. Wish me better luck. The pillows are not good but I found the pillows even at the Hilton are the same ones. So I don't know why that all across the USA from Best Western to the Hilton they are using crappy pillows.…
1) do not get a room facing the back, they start truck deliveries at 630 am so unless you want to wake up at that time.....on Tuesday, Feb 11 trucks started off loading at 630 and its now 930 and its been non stop. One would expect these to start at 8 am, not 630 am. 2) rooms are big which is good, beds (we had a king) very comfortable. nothing chic, but decent. 3) Food - the breakfast is expensive and very poor. basically bread, oatmeal, eggs, hash browns and a meat. 4) Internet very good 5) Gym - a bike, an elliptical and a weight machine 6) Pool but uninviting It served our purpose and was less than half the price of the main brand hotels.
Really enjoyed our stay here! Friendly service, easy to find, plenty of parking and close to Seal Beach and Long Beach cruise terminals. Every room has a balcony or patio which is nice. My fiancé and I really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The courtyard is the best part of the hotel, it’s well kept, decently clean and cute! There are lots of convenience stores, restaurants, and bars nearby so you don’t have to go far to have a good time. The hotel is a lot bigger than it looks, with kind of a strange layout. Decor is a bit dated, which I didn’t mind. Everything was clean and crisp. Would have appreciated more towels in the room, and the walls were a bit thin. But overall a good experience at an even better price! Would definitely return and recommend!
We paid over $15,000 for a reunion of military veterans that consist of World War II and Korean War veterans. We were promised in the original contract to have the Hospitality, Ship Store and meeting rooms comped, this did not happen. What we did get was space for the ship store that did not lock, a reception with no coffee or tea and water on the table, a “deluxe” breakfast that come with no meat (had to pay extra), sleeping rooms that were broken down, torn curtains, bathroom fixtures coming apart, sliding glass doors that did not lock, had an odor and small flying insects; if you stayed on the club side of the hotel deep bass music pounded until after 1:00 a.m. I find the business practices of the Golden Sails Hotel to be deceptive and shameless. We stayed at this hotel in early October and three months after our stay we are receiving changed invoices that were paid in full stating that we owe more money they changed room night number three times to increase amount owed and their the bottom line. If you are thinking on staying or having an event here, think again. The way they treat military veterans is appalling.…
