As I was driving toward the hotel I saw the sign that said "Bath in every room" and I almost died :). Later I learned that this hotel is in a historic building and the owners decided to keep some of the charm. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and the only problem for me was the

We spent only one night in this hotel, but we can say that hospitality, education and courtesy are their business card. Hotel small but well cared for in every detail breakfast is more than abundant and the location of the structure make it a gem We hope to return and spend more

I booked because of the price and great reviews. This hotel reminds me of a high end European B and B. Nicely furnished, great location and comfy beds. The staff were friendly and attentive. Give me this over a cookie cutter chain hotel any day!

We took an Uber as we were on a 2-week road trip and had a lot of luggage. I probably would use Google maps to see how far it is. Sorry I can’t be more helpful

That's correct. The light rail line runs along the street outside the hotel.

The Varden has a lot right next to it for parking with no extra charge so all is good on that point. Ask for a darker room if they have one, but we've never had a problem with noise or too much light and we stay on New Year's Eve. It's a boutique hotel concentrating on Service which is GREAT. Very compact rooms with high-end bedding and toiletries. It does have a tv, free wifi and wine in the early evening and coffee and continental breakfast in the morning. Lovely personal owners and staff. Have a great stay in Long Beach!

The 1/2 Marathon starts up by Santa Cruz park. The Varden is about a 15 minute walk away. The Westin is about the same distance.
