Even Janet Leigh from Hitchcock's movie Psycho would not enter the shower in this hotel. Paint peeling off of the walls, furniture bought from a second hand store, and towels purchased from the local football team after their last season. I think you get the idea.

I checked out a day early and front desk said to take it up with TripAdvisor/Booking.com. your site says take it up with the hotel. So where do I go now? Hotel was decent terms of cleanliness. Soap and shampoo provided are a joke. Bring your own.

I stayed at this motel for one night in late July, 2016, after spending a week backpacking in the Sierrras. PROS: - Functional shower to wash off a week of grime - Clean, comfortable bed - Owner/manager replaced burned out bathroom light bulb at 10pm CONS: - Tiny, almost useless soap (I'll pack my own next time) - Very low... We stayed for 2 nights while we saw the sights of Lone Pine. Clean and cozy. Staff was very nice.you could walk to all the restaurants in town. When hotel has a microwave and a fridge it is easier to save a little money on food. Also on a 107 degree day the pool was soooooo nice and they left... More

The motel is basic, but conveniently located at the exit of the Death Valley if you're coming from Panamint Springs. It's at the entrance of Mount Whitney road and close to the Alabama hills, so not a bad pick. Lone Pine can be busy (lot of backpacker, usually), so demand can raise high. Don't let this one pass, in case!... More

I changed directions on a road trip and ended up here. This was one of the more expensive hotels I stayed at on my trip. I'm not sure if it was because it was memorial weekend or not but the rate was too high for what you get. The room is spacious an seamed clean but everything is outdated. It... More

While cruising up Hwy395, it was getting dark and we needed a place to stay. There is not much to choose from along the stretch around Lone Pine. The ones we had to choose from were over priced. We stayed at this roadside motel. It was basic but worth the value. The room clean, it had a flat screen tv,... More

The bed was good. The room looked like it was built 30 plus years ago and nothing has been done to it since. The room was quiet and comfortable just needed a bit of upgrading. $89 a night was a bit steep. We drove north and stayed at a much nicer place for $65 per night.

On a last minute trip to view the bloom in Death Valley we stayed here, mainly because all the accommodations closer to DV were full. This is an older place but decently kept up. The staff was great. When my key malfunctioned they promptly fixed it with apologies for my inconvenience (I wasn't, really). The room was clean with a... More

The motel looks dated but the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. A good place to stay for a couple of nights but not really cheap for the age of the place. Location good as it is on the main street. Has an outdoor pool. No breakfast included in price of rooms.
