The motel is basic, but conveniently located at the exit of the Death Valley if you're coming from Panamint Springs. It's at the entrance of Mount Whitney road and close to the Alabama hills, so not a bad pick. Lone Pine can be busy (lot of backpacker, usually), so demand can raise high. Don't let this one pass, in case!... More

I changed directions on a road trip and ended up here. This was one of the more expensive hotels I stayed at on my trip. I'm not sure if it was because it was memorial weekend or not but the rate was too high for what you get. The room is spacious an seamed clean but everything is outdated. It... More

While cruising up Hwy395, it was getting dark and we needed a place to stay. There is not much to choose from along the stretch around Lone Pine. The ones we had to choose from were over priced. We stayed at this roadside motel. It was basic but worth the value. The room clean, it had a flat screen tv,... More

The bed was good. The room looked like it was built 30 plus years ago and nothing has been done to it since. The room was quiet and comfortable just needed a bit of upgrading. $89 a night was a bit steep. We drove north and stayed at a much nicer place for $65 per night.

On a last minute trip to view the bloom in Death Valley we stayed here, mainly because all the accommodations closer to DV were full. This is an older place but decently kept up. The staff was great. When my key malfunctioned they promptly fixed it with apologies for my inconvenience (I wasn't, really). The room was clean with a... More

The motel looks dated but the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. A good place to stay for a couple of nights but not really cheap for the age of the place. Location good as it is on the main street. Has an outdoor pool. No breakfast included in price of rooms.

Room faced 395, traffic noise most of night. King size bed had probably a twin/full blanket. Really? at the price of the room they can't put proper size blanket on bed. Blanket looked like the ones you see for sale on the side of the road. When we checked there was no mention of the "free WiFi". Bathroom towels were... More

I had read a lot about this motel; how it was old, tatty, and not up to scratch. I expected little also becasue of the price. This was probably one of our best stays in the US. The wifi worked. The air con was brilliant and it was comfortable and clean. lets face you wouldn't be staying in Lone Pine... More

On the positive side, this hotel was within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops in Lone Pine. The front desk staff were very pleasant. The room was clean but could use an update. I thought the room was a bit overpriced, but a couple of other hotels that we tried had no vacancies.

Nothing special about this motel. Rooms were clean, bed OK. Spent one night on Labor Day weekend so seemed overpriced, but that was the market rate. Room was in the annex off of the highway so was quiet. Slept fine.
