Another year and still their water park is not operational. What a joke. Last year was just a bunch of excuses. This year still not operational. What kind of company do they have working on the project? Last year excuse given us permit problems ok the company working on it should know exactly what to do in the first place.

Hello. Thank you for this feedback. We deeply apologize that the date keeps getting pushed back. We would like to Water Zone and Lazy River to be opened as soon as possible as well. Unfortunately we have run into issues with permitting and COVID stopped a lot of our plans as well. We hope to have an update soon, and we hope you will come visit us once everything is open. Again, sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience!

Jellystone Park is one of those "hidden gems" for taking a family to. There are so many things to do around the park throughout the day. We wish the Water Park and Lazy River had been opened, but it was hijacked by the County of San Joaquin. They sat there all summer long and these county officials broke the hearts of thousands of people that could not use them because they were hung up on one stupid issue. FYI...it has already had the plans approved and the federal, state and city cleared it. Even so, Jellystone did everything they could by bringing in inflatible water slides, allowing us to do lazer tag and bumper boats at no charge (1 time). The park is a large place, so you should have an alternative form of transportation, like bikes or a golf cart (you can rent them from Jellystone). They will help you get around to the various places. My grandkids had a lot of fun with the huge jumping pillow. And, we really enjoy the bumper boats. Plan to come for at least 3 days to enjoy everthing Jellystone has to offer. We stayed in the Delta Deluxe cabins - and they are amazing. And...don't forget to visit the sweet shop. They have amazing ice cream treats. The only thing that could have worked better in the park was the Internet. It was worthless to us. You could not get reception at the cabins and was difficult to use almost anywhere in the park. Plus, cellular is not good out there, so the Internet becomes important. We will be coming back!

We stayed here mid-week in December. Only the playground and bouncy pillows were open. The campground was super muddy and they use the wintertime to do upgrades and repairs. We were disappointed at the lack of things to do.

Hello Rebekah. Thank you so much for sending over this feedback from your recent stay! We are very sorry to hear you were disappointed with your visit – we hold our park to a very high standard and it looks like we did not meet this standard. During our non-peak season, we do have limited availability for our amenities. We try our best to make our guests aware of this before booking by putting it on our website and on our reservation site as well as the emails received prior. We will look into this and take your comments into consideration as we move into the upcoming season. We hope you'll consider staying with us again in the future!

This is a nice campground, lots of activities and plenty of options for places to stay (cabins, RV, etc.). The staff also seemed very good also. Only issue is that there are RV sites where people pay monthly and live in the campground permanently. Some seem alright and some seem less that desirable. There was a group of locals who came to the pool every day and brought a giant speaker with them and they were blasting loud music. I asked the staff if they could turn it down and the staff was helpful. Another incident was my sons bike was stolen while he was doing laser tag. One of the staff did find it for me. He said that he suspected that one of the permanent residents took it.

Stayed 5 days in August and enjoyed it. I found no evidence of it being this huge construction zone as is being reported. In fact, I saw no construction at all. Yes the park is HUGE and yes it's crowded on weekends. Enjoyable places usually attract crowds, if it was empty I would be concerned. Everything was clean for the most part. They come around and pick up your trash and that was never an issue. I saw some trash bins that were overflowing but they were quickly emptied. Some people are just pigs and there is the occasional mess, but that's not the parks fault. It gets attended to as soon as reported. There are kids everywhere. There are bikes everywhere. There are people everywhere. If this is an issue for you, don't stay here. Sites are of reasonable size and comparable to any KOA. Spend more for a premium site if you want a larger space. If you want a quiet setting with a mountain view, next to a babbling brook, this ain't it. The pool can be crowded on the weekends but it's not terrible. Laser tag is a lot of fun and not unreasonably priced for the 30 minutes you get. The bumper boats are OK but extremely cramped for larger adults and know that an adult is required to ride with anyone under 14. There are a lot of things to do but one suggestion I would make is to include something for teens and tweens. There were a lot of 12 - 17 year olds that are past the glitter art and Yogi visits, but want a few activities geared towards their age group so they can meet a few people and socialize. The water park is still unopened but I still found it reasonably priced for what you get. It's definitely comparable to the larger Northern California KOAs (Petaluma / Santa Cruz) and offers more to do. The worst part was the WiFi. Not sure why they cant offer a better WiFi experience but this seems pretty typical in the industry. AT&T cell service is spotty. You can usually get 1 bar and I was able to stream a movie or 2 if I found the sweet spot for the phone. Stayed in a back-in site #116 which was flat, gravel with lots of shade. Came with 30amp, water, sewer, picnic table, fire ring and plenty of room to set up camp. Love the 1PM check out time. When they open the water park, add a few activities for the teens and at least have an option for improved WiFi, even at a cost, they'll be a 5/5 Overall a nice stay and we'll be back!
