When we want to get away, we always think of the different places we can go, and continuously choose this wonderful place. The place has character, and we love the quirky beauty of the grounds. Old school coastal charm meets modern amenities. I feel like some of these reviews are ridiculous. Sure, there may be some stuff that needs some attention, and I feel that with the limited staff the facility is afforded during a global pandemic, that maybe that can be taken into account. I mean, wow, people. Maybe shake off some of the stress and agitation of the world and relax into the beauty of your surroundings!! And if you have a problem, staff will absolutely accommodate. The staff here is amazing. Sarah, in particular went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy and comfortable—as always. We love this place and will continue to come back as often as we can.

This property is absolutely magical. Walking paths along coastline, private beach access, the gazebo. Whales passing by. The staff is so friendly and helpful, despite being berated by guests! They handled what was truly abusive behavior with grace and dignity. As I read the reviews it really is clear that upset guests are not reading their website or listening to everything they are told upon arrival. Oh, and let's not forget it is 37 acres of property and we saw landscapers working hard during our stay. It is hardly neglected. The spiderweb complaints are hilarious - has no one ever seen how big of a web a spider can weave overnight?? I will be back, without a doubt!

Stayed here three nights for our honeymoon and will not be coming back. Like the other reviews, this property has serious signs of neglate. Grounds are not being maintained. Half the buttons on the remote to TV did not work. I saw cobb webs on the room number of our room. Cobb webs under the bed. Floors smelled of mold. Only one power outlet on the side of bed. Absolutely no amendedies and they used COVID has an excuse for everything. Bath robes on request only. No room service. WiFi kept going in and out. The views of the ocean were just about the only thing this place had. For the price I would have had a better quality hotel at a Holiday Inn.

Such a beautiful view!! My husband and I stayed here for our 6 year Anniversary and we were so glad we came. The room had a heated floor in the bathroom (which was nice because it was chilly outside) and a huge tub and shower that both overlooked the waves crashing up against the cliffs. We walked the acreage and just enjoyed the beauty surrounding. There's even a path that led to a private beach that nobody but us occupied. Super romantic place to run away to. Highly recommended!

Wow! The previous two reviews (October 2020) really say it all. For the exorbitant prices, one expects a lot more. Absolutely no amenities, except paper cups and Keurig, bathrobes on request. First room was moldy with picture window that didn't open, so you couldn't hear the ocean sounds. Second night was better with sliding glass/screen doors out to the wooden deck. Room was modern, but carpet smelled of mold. Outside of buildings severely weather-worn and not maintained. Grounds also not maintained. Owners are betting that people will pay top dollar for the proximity to the ocean views and remembrance of the 1978 movie setting. That may bring you there once, but don't expect repeat business.
