As we were unable to find accommodations in the preceding town and it was early evening, we happened upon this place and thought we better register, not knowing what may or not be available ahead. The owner kindly showed us our cabins before deciding to accept them. They are rustic with no amenities for the price we paid which we... More

We are on big California road trip. We are booking our hotels on the road on a daily basis. Yosemite was the part of his trip that gave me most concerns as I knew it is very hard to find accommodation at Yosemite. Most Yosemite valley places are booked one year in advance. On this particular August day, as we... More

The staff is friendly and the cabin was comfortable, but we sleep with windows open because there is no air conditioner and the noise is unbearable! Cabins are just about 50 feet from 395 highway and the semi trucks barrel through there all night long! The restaurant serves flavorful food, but my $17 chicken salad had seriously, just a couple... My family has a special place in our hearts for Mono Lake so when we had the opportunity to stay near the lake on a business trip, we decided to stay at the Tioga Lodge. My husband booked the room online and there was only one of the cabin's available, The Kit Carson Room. The room was part of a... More

We were very fortunate to stumble across the Lodge, the cottages are charming with a lovely view over the Lake. Being adjacent to the road you may consider it would suffer with noise at night, but actually there's little traffic so it's not a concern. The hostess is very pleasant and helpful, the restaurant is also well worth the visit.

It took over a month (and my sending many ignored e-mails & phone calls/messages) to get a refund. Even though I canceled my reservation about 6 weeks in advance, they still kept 10% of my money, which was $110! They promised to send an e-mail when it was refunded, and they didn't. I have spent way more time and money... More

I spent a delightful evening in a beautiful and rustic cabin at this historic inn. The main buildings were brought here from the ghost town of Bodie. The place exudes charm, and the views overlooking Mono Lake are unsurpassed. True, if you are looking for modern conveniences like TV and telephones, pass this inn by, go on to Lee Vining,... More

This should be a $60-80 establishment. Less facilities than a budget motel - advertised as cottage but no self catering facilities, except for small fridge. Aircon was not working. Paid $155, no breakfast. Breakfast charged at additional $20 per person. Worst WiFi. Take note, there is a lot of traffic noise - rooms not isolated. Bathroom not as advertised.

* Overpriced!! * The room smelled intensely like cheap deodorizer to "cover" something. Perhaps a skunk's dan by the bathroom window * No chairs in the bedroom, no bedside table, one ugly dresser and cheap bed were the only furniture, a wire barb as a "decoration" by the head bed (really?) noisy light/fan in the bathroom (thank goodness we knew... Our plan was to stay three nights at the Lodge but it seems that most clients stay only one night. Retrospectively, I think they were smarter than we were. The Lodge's website is slightly misleading as it suggests the rooms are better than what they are in reality. Apparently the only rooms with two beds that were available are the... More
