We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, and usually quiet (we did find that who ever worked in the kitchen starting about 7:45 am would blast their music (and our room was just adjacent to the kitchen)). The room really needed 1 or 2 luggage racks (instead of the table and chairs upon entry); there was...

Good room with the basic, a bed, two light table, and a private bathroom with shower. I have selected this place to stay one night because it is near to Mono Lake and Tioga Road. They offer a great coffee and muffins, not included in the room price.

Sweet little place, simple and charming. Décor in retro style, no TV, evokes mountain cabin ambience. Enjoyed the coffee and cakes. Friendly atmosphere. Great place to stay in Sierra Nevada area. Liked it a lot.

We (a retired couple) had one night stopover in this beautiful village. I loved the fresh, good quality food a available at the office/cafe and the decorations, bits and pieces of interest and garden were beautifully hand done with a personal touch. The bedroom was basic - nicely decorated, tiny, clean. But I suspect the age of the building caused...

In July, my family and I were in the Lee Vining area as half of us were backpacking in the Sierras. Our itinerary offered option to divert from the trail for a evening/morning of relative luxury in Lee Vining. A little research, and local availability, led us to the El Mono. Four of us (myself, wife, two daughters) stayed in...

Very nice motel/hotel in Lee Vining with a beautiful flower garden with bird feeders and compost. They grow even tomatoes and berries. It's great to have a real Café with espresso and good sandwiches attached, great service!

I stay at the El Mono whenever I'm in Lee Vining and they have a free room. The rooms are small and cozy with a rustic feel. There are no TVs (not something I miss since I'm there to hike). There is wi-fi. Everything is clean. Some of the rooms do share a restroom - this is something you can...

At over US$100, I had expected a bit more than a room which was barely big enough to move around, much less store luggage or do anything else. Since most rooms were already booked by the time I made my reservation, I had to opt for a "Queen & Double Guest Room" which was actually two extremely small rooms next...

There are a couple good rooms, rooms that have two beds which are small and then a few that share a bathroom. The best aspect of staying here is that it's clean and has a great Coffee Shop serving food as well.

This is a "so-so" place to stay for a night or two. Here are some (+) and (-) to it as listed below: (+) * Central location that's close to Mono lake, Bishop, Mammoth and of course Yosemite so that's very nice if you are exploring the area like we did. * Reasonably priced compared to other more expensive hotels...
