Fun place to stay for a couple nights! The rooms are clean and the beds are cozy, but rooms/bathrooms are very small and quaint. It was a bit too small for our family, but still loved it there. The motel has a cool coffee house with delicious coffees and pastries to enjoy in the many colorful gardens around the property.... More

My friend and I visited for two nights and still wish we could go back - from the lush garden, bursting with flowers, to the charming baristas, we fell in love with this place. I was a little nervous about the state of the shared bathroom, but it was just about always clean (and I'm picky), and even had poetry... More

A really cool younger vibe to motel has small coffee café inside. Very nice courtyard garden. Has a Hostel feel. Some rooms have private bath other rooms have a shared bath. This was my first experience with a shared bath, was not bad. If you have alot of items that needed to be charged overnight bring a change stripe. Could... More

The El Mono Motel isn't really average. It has extreme high points and low points. We stayed there in July 2016 for four nights / five days, so we had the full experience. While I'd love to say I recommend it, my wife, adult son and I wouldn't stay there again for more than one night. Here are the pros... More

We stayed 2 nights in the El Mono Motel only because of their strict cancellation policy. The rooms are clean but very tiny! They aren't air-conditioned which makes afternoons and early evening quite warm. The private bath in our two rooms had a sink mounted so low it was hard to use except for hand washing. Additionally, the sink had... More

This was my third stay at El Mono Motel and the second time in Room #1. It is a cozy room - bright paint and bedspread, two comfy chairs and a tiny table make it fun. The bathroom only has a shower/sink/toilet but that's all we needed. There is a tall fan that helped keep the room cooled off -... More

We were happy to find this cozy place to stay with 2 separate rooms for a good price for the quality. Quality bedding and sweet surroundings with flowers and seats outside our room to enjoy our breakfast from the cafe on site. Fans helped cool us off well on warm summer night.

We stayed at El mono while traveling from Lassen volcanic national park to Yosemite. It was a great midpoint to stop overnight. Very cheap price and staff was nice. The room was very small with just a bed and the sink. No A/C just a ceiling fan. Was not a fan of a shared bathroom and shower!!!!! Getting up and... More

Older place, quiet, refurbished in a good way. Beds very comfortable, windows open for fresh air (mandatory for us), no a/c but has large fans in room, it was warm but we didn't need a/c, it was cool enough without it, a bonus with older buildings. Very clean room, thick towels. EXCELLENT coffee and breakfast cafe, the best breakfast sandwich... More
