Our friends were tent camping at the College Campground at Huntington Lake near Fresno, California, so we decided to join them for 7 nights. Their campground was limited to tents only, so I found the closet RV campground which was about 1/4 mile down the road, the Lakeshore Resort. We arrived at the resort after a long 7 hour drive...

My wife and I spend one night in C3 the newest cabin and it was great. Very clean and with a great deck. The dinner and drinks at the saloon was so much fun. Dinner on the deck was outstanding. Great one night get away.

We booked a few cabins for a family get together. They made it clear in their website the cabins are rustic, and they are. We were happy with the cabins, and the staff was very helpful. Our first day there, the plumbing backed up. They staff worked all morning and fixed it, they were on it. We spent most our...

This 'resort' is not much of a resort. First of all their restaurant is not open most of the week even though they advertise it being open during the summer. I guess they don't consider June 30th to yet be summer. When questioned we were told that people aren't coming due to the low lake water level (more on that...

Thank you for your feedback in regards to our resort. Back in the 1920's when Lakeshore Resort was built, the term "Resort" meant a place to retreat away from work and everyday life. Lakeshore Resort is a rustic retreat at beautiful Huntington Lake. Although our restaurant wasn't open at the time of this guests stay, within a short drive, the...

We look forward to visiting the Lakeshore Resort every year. You can unwind and enjoy the beauty of Huntington Lake. We enjoy walking to the beach across the street and as well as hiking the local hiking paths. The Lakeshore Restaurant has yummy ice cream on a hot day. S'Mores taste great fireside at night. We've met some very nice...

First off, the woman in the front office was not friendly at all, maybe even annoyed. The cabin was cozy and nice enough inside, but there were tons of cobwebs on the outside and around windows. The road in front of our cabin was dirt (dry, fine dirt), causing lots of dust. There was no ice machine besides the tiny...

Thank you for your feedback. Our apologies for the annoyed Front Desk person. We try and be as pleasant as possible and by no means meant to sound annoyed. As this reviewer may not have understood, we are located in the Sierra National Forest and there is lots of dirt here in the mountains. Because we have had two dry...

Decided to take a spontaneous trip up to Huntington Lake having never been there before. I was surprised to be able to get a reservation at the last minute. We LOVE this spot and will now be working it into our family vacation getaway routines. First, Huntington Lake is gorgeous and it's hard to beat the natural beauty of the...

This review is appreciated because the guest understands what Lakeshore Resort is all about, a rustic resort where families can connect in the mountains. Lakeshore Resort was named back in 1922 and when it was purchased by the Sherry family, they chose to keep the original name of the business. It's resort capacity is that there are facilities here for...

RV campers beware! The area of the "resort" designated the "RV Park" is very small. If you are pulling anything over 15' than good luck. Luckily, when my family and I arrived, we were the only RV. I was able to park in one of the few spaces that would accommodate a 28 foot travel trailer. Some of the spaces...

Our RV Park was built in the 1930's and accommodates Rv's from 15 - 42 feet long depending on the slide outs on a rig and what class it is. This guest states that they had a tough time navigating the RV Park, we seldom get this complaint. Sometimes, it has to do with the experience of driving a RV....

I have been reading reviews for Lakeshore and am really surprised at the negative feedback. It seems the people that have had poor experiences here may be people that have spent tjme in fancy hotels that are impeccable in every way. Renting a cabin in the mountains can never be like staying in a hotel. It is old. It is...
