Very much enjoyed my stay at the Skylark, not only does the staff go out of their way to make my stay comfortable, the views of the lake are breathtaking! Staff is very knowledgeable about the community with very good recommendations. Will definitely stay again!

Our group of 25+ just spent 5 days at Skylark. All of the staff were friendly and responsive. Paige made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us several times. Steve was very accommodating as well. We had various rooms from cabins to pool side to lakefront and all were clean, had refrigerators and some had fully stocked kitchens. The clean, cool-water pool was refreshing on scorching hot days. Thank you and we’ll all be back next year, with more people. ~Dave D

The Resort location is fantastic, right on the lake with a lot of outdoor space to enjoy the lake views. The buildings are a little dated as you can see from the pictures, but our cabin had been updated with hardwood like flooring and was impeccably clean. What really stood out to me though was the staff and the hospitality they all showed. It started off before our stay when I phoned and spoke to Jeff and realized I had booked the wrong dates. He went above and beyond on a very busy weekend to rebook us into a cabin which we greatly appreciated. When we arrived, even though it was our first time staying at the Skylark, we were treated like we were long time friends back for a visit, and check in was very smooth and efficient. Our cabin, was great, it had a kitchen and was equipped with everything you would need to make a simple meal (pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc...it even had a veggie steamer!) We were there for a quick trip and didn't really use the kitchen for more than coffee, but it was equipped with more than some fancy air BB that we've stayed at. When we get back to Lakeport I will 100% stay at the Skylark, it far exceeded my expectations!

We are happy that we decided to start 2021 with a stay at Skylark. Jeff, the manager of the property, was super helpful and professional. Even before we had started our journey to Lakeport, he answered politely and precisely to all our queries about the route and the amenities we would get in our room (two queen beds). In fact, he saved us from driving through the winding highway 75 route at night by providing an easy alternative route. Room was clean and comfortable and the wooden floor was a relief in the current COVID situation. We liked the little kitchen area which had a microwave, refrigerator, large sink and ample shelf space. Our room has a two way door to the adjacent room, that would be perfect for a big family/group. Even though our room did not open to the lake, we were a few steps away from the lakefront. The big garden opens to the lake with huge space to walk and sit on the gorgeous wooden benches under the trees while watching the changing colors of the sky behind the hill across the lake at dawn. The shimmering moon reflection in the lake waters was just mystical in the evening. Last but not least, this place has easy access (walkable) to nice eating places and grocery stores. We will come back for sure. Highly recommended.

Another wonderful stay at Skylark, and this review is for the cabin!
Cabin: 5/5 The layout is well designed and even the exterior gives a homey/cottage feel. The entryway has one bedroom leading to the kitchen. From there, there is a hallway with ample storage, connected to another bedroom (double beds) and the bathroom with a shower. Each room has a tv which is very convenient. This is perfect for a family/friends trip, especially with the large table to eat at, and adjacent tv to watch news in the morning while drinking coffee. I was pleasantly surprised how well stocked the kitchen was. There is really no need to bring any utensils/pans etc from home here. Also, there are heaters/fans in both rooms, the second heater is close enough to the bathroom so you can enjoy a comfortable, warm shower. The most important factor for me when I travel, is the cleanliness of the hotel, and I have noticed after every stay here now, it is always consistently spotless, and restocked when I return for the night. I have also stayed at both the lakeside and poolside rooms, excellent stays there as well!
Customer service: 5/5 Megan at the check-in office is very sweet, she always goes out of her way to help make sure every stay is exceptional and has each stay prepared ready to go beforehand so the check in only takes a brief minute. Priya, Kelly, and Ron are also very delightful and genuine, always willing to help. Recently, the door locks have been upgraded, so not need to slide room keys, simply just tap.
Location: 5/5 Compared to all the other hotels in the area I highly recommend Skylark. Once you stay here, it's hard to stay anywhere else, just not the same feeling! From the cabin, it is only a 1-2 minute walk to the dock, and they also have kayaks to rent, plus boats close by (and boat storage). The pricing is also very reasonable and very well worth it considering the service, location, and amenities. I understand being near the lake, there are quite a bit of flies and mosquitos but I haven't seen any this trip, they do a wonderful job of pest control which many other places do not.

Lakefront rooms, great rates and a top notch staff. SKLYKARK SHORES IS GREAT.
This resort has 3 long boatdocks to tie your boat off, to fish or swim. It also has a small beach, perfect for kids.
It a great, all around resort!!!

OMG, I have lived in this area for 18 years and just found this wonderful hidden gem of a resort. My husband and I were there helping to put on a car show. This resort is in the most beautiful location. Next time I would like to check out the cottages. Looking at it from the point of view as if I were an out of town traveler I couldn't ask for a better place to rest, relax and enjoy the beautiful Clear Lake and Mr Konocti. This resort has a swimming pool, a horseshoe pit, barbeque pit, picnic tables, volleyball, bicycle rentals, kayak rentals, picnic tables, and a quiet atmosphere. There was even a dock and a place to launch your boat if you were a fisherman. I'm thinking it would be a great place for a family reunion and/or a vacation. Our room had all the amenities, even a back door to the lawn area which was right on the lake. The bed was very comfortable and as this was in November we did use the heater which ran very quietly. When we first walked into the room it smelled clean! With the current covid crisis that was really important. The bathroom was spacious and had a hair dryer. The coffee pot, mini fridge and microwave were a blessing as we went out to eat dinner (two restaurants within walking distance), had leftovers and were able to heat them up for lunch the next day. And finally you couldn't ask for a better staff; friendly, happy and helpful. The worker bee maintenance people were quietly busy keeping the grounds immaculate. I would recommend this resort to my friends and family for sure. It was the most beautiful experience waking up tot he sun coming up over Mt Knocti and reflecting on the Lake.

My husband and I were up here for work and wow we absolutely ADORED it here. first of all, Lynette in the office was amazing, super sweet, and made our check in so easy and check out just the same, such great customer service. The room itself was quite lovely and cozy, and you can step out and walk a quick 500 ish feet to a beautiful lake, this place is perfect for anyone who loves nature. 10/10, would love to come back to this place anytime I’m here again, also when i checked the listings for this place i saw how affordable it was and was shocked, you don’t get that kinda beauty anywhere, if you’re looking for an amazing place, this is the one! My wife and I have been to Skylark Shores Resort three times in the last year. Located at the North end of town and right up to the shores of Clear Lake with boat docks and ramp. The rooms are kept clean and have ice boxes and flat screen TVs. There are rooms that face the pool or there are rooms with terrific views of the lake. Plenty of parking for your car and/or your boat. Jeff the manager and his staff in and out of the office are very friendly and efficient. They very much want to ensure your stay is a pleasant one.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful resort in Lakeport, California. I came to spend some relax time here and stayed way longer than I expected. I spent lazy days by the lakeside feeding the ducks. A morning swim and a little sunbathing by the pool. I loved the privacy, I also liked to walk to town for restaurants and church. The owner, management and staff are folks who are professional, warm and friendly. I came to appreciate each and everyone of them. When COVID19 hit California I extended my stay. Lakeport has very few cases and people are mindful of wearing masks and social distancing. It was a breath of fresh air to see families here for the 4th of July holiday. They enjoyed boating on the lake, the swimming pool, barbecuing and it was wonderful to see families out and about and enjoying being together. Again, I cannot say enough positive things about the Skylark Shores Resort. Truly a lovely place to visit.

It was cold when we were there in June. My five-year-old got in, but I did not! To be fair, the weather was unseasonably cold the week that we were there (60s, rainy), so the pool wasn't super inviting to start with.
There are more places to choose from in the Lakeport area.
