Convenient and ok for a campsite. Pretty crowded but it was over spring break. The park attendant was helpful. No hook ups as were in a Class RV but we needed shelter from the wind a little bit so we opted for the campground. Campsite was clean but restrooms were pretty gross. Some of the higher spots would be preferred...

My initial plan was to explore Lake Isabella, yet I found that relaxing at our campsite was enough. At campsite 76, a wonderful view of the lake can be seen there. The space was large enough to hold a 8x10 tent and with plenty of room left to enjoy. Water was close by and well as the restrooms. They was...

This campground got a very nice view of the lake. We stayed at site #64, pretty close to the bathroom. During our stay, we only had one other group in the whole entire site. Unfortunately, that was not a considerate group. They checked in at 1am on the first night and played loud music till very late the next night....

PROS: -Sandy and her husband were very friendly, warm, and helpful when we checked in (they recommended a good campsite and gave us some light from their golf cart since it was night when setting up our tent) -Site 76 was AMAZING! Lovely views of the lake, not bad to wake up to! -We came in February and the weather...

We had the whole site almost to ourselves and it was great. Great views of the lake and nice walks nearby. A good place for fishing I'm told. The camp host was friendly and very helpful. Across the road there is a small marina and general store. The site was well maintained. Fires are allowed and there was lots of...

Very bad management, the person in charged kept stoping by every 30 min to check. She kept counting the persons and kept asking who was going to sleep in each tent. At one point she tried to peek in our trailer to see how many people slept there. The trash containers smelled really bad, every where you walked you could...

We are not experienced campers and so followed the reviews of this campground when making our selection. The campsites were roomy but the picnic tables were extremely dirty; the bathrooms were also very dirty and dark. Leaves and exposed wiring in the shower stalls. There was no store or friendly management as advertised. The person managing the camp was not...

This is a first-come-first-serve type. Driving to the campground was an experience as the road travelled along the Kern River. I stopped from time to time to feel the water and fish. It wasn't the best scenic drive, but it offerred something rich and I enjoyed the view. The campground was nice and well developed. Playground for my son and...

Pioneer Point campground is developed - with water, flush toilets, and showers. RV's as well as tents are allowed. Campsites are large and if you look, you can find a few that are fairly private. The way the campground is situated in the hills near the lake, it is fairly well protected from the hellish winds that can sometimes plague...

My family visited the Pioneer Point Campground over the July 4th weekend. Let me tell you, this place is hot during this time of year (around 100 degree). If you don't mind the heat, this is a good place, but if you do like me, stay away during the summer. About 1/3 of the campsite are sloped. Also, this is...
