Recently traveled to the Laguna Beach area for a wedding. I must say the location of the Inn at Laguna Beach is in a wonderful spot. Just a short walk to shops, restaurants & the beach. Check in was quick and easy, the beds were extremely comfortable and everyone at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay. The only two negatives I have were 1.) the $40/night parking charge seems a bit steep. It would be nice if it were included seeing as a standard room went for $375 per night. And 2.) on the same note regarding the $375/night price I really shouldn't have seen two tears in the carpet and a crack in the sink. For that money the rooms should be spotless. Certain parts of the hotel definitely could use some updating. Our room being one of them.

Small rooms. Did I say small rooms. Expensive. No gym. Nice wine happy hour on the roof top deck. Staff were wonderful. Terrific location. Just overpriced. I guess that's Laguna Beach for you. Beware. Management sells the roof top bar to events so it may not be available for you yet they still charge $30 "amenity fee". Just the usual hotel rip off.

Dear Codmug, Thank you for reviewing the Inn at Laguna Beach. Your point of view is important to us. We are a boutique hotel perched above Main Beach. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our location and staff friendliness. While the Pacific Terrace and Room are sometimes available for private events, our amenities, such as the wine hour, beach chairs, umbrellas and toys plus cookies and milk in the evening, coffee available in room and lobby every morning are available for all guests. We hope that you were able to enjoy the cocktail bar on lobby level during your stay. We apologize that the rooftop area was closed during your visit with us. We hope that you might stay again another time. Sincerely, Judi Z.

We came here for one night and had so much fun. Our bartender Joaquin was super friendly and helpful. He was like our secret cheat code to having the most fun possible. Find him and protect him at all costs.

Had a great time over the weekend celebrating a beautiful couples wedding. From the property to the gorgeous view over looking Main Beach and the coastline, hard to find a better back drop for tying the knot. The staff was great and wanted to give a shout out to Elisa and the bar tender Joaquin, who kept the drinks coming. Great hospitality all around!

This hotel is in a great location. It is a bit pricey. It does not have a restaurant, though there are many great restaurants within walking distance. My only complaint is the lack of a destination charge port for an electric vehicle

My husband and I just stayed for 4 nights and loved loved the location and views from the Inn at Laguna! The rooms could be updated and are a bit small but we spent so much time on the patio or around the hotel (beach, terrace, etc.) that it didn’t make that much of a difference for us. We wish we would have stayed in one of the beach side rooms bc the views from the hotel are amazing!

It’s been a while so we decided to make a quick trip to Inn at Laguna Beach hotel. Having received a rather good price for an “Ocean View” room, we decided to go ahead and upgrade. We also went with the two queen beds just for a little different perspective. Just for information, our reservation (made months in advance) were for Monday through Wednesday checking out Thursday in February 2022. Check-in was typical for this hotel, attempting to check-in at 2PM, finally getting assigned a room closer to 3PM (official check-in time is 4PM). Parking was rather crowded for a Mon-Wed stay so our concerns started in our minds quickly. This hotel has 3 entrances to the parking with the first being open air with just a few spots and a couple of handicapped spots. The 2nd and 3rd are under the hotel and is covered. Non of the parking is gated or monitored by anyone although there is a parking pass you get when you stay there to place on your mirror. These two structures have a moderate amount of parking however it’s not uncommon for people to park along a non-parking area like a wall which can make maneuvering difficult. Once we were in and settled, we noticed the room itself was very clean and in good repair (unlike other stays in the past). Just to mention, it appears the two queen selection will get you (what I consider a downgrade from the walk in shower in the King room) a Bath tub along with a shower. Now that it’s getting later in the day, we decided to take in the “Roof Top Deck” (that is a featured amenity). Unfortunately, once again the Roof Top Deck was “reserved” for a private event (business meeting) on Monday, so we were unable to use that feature. Since we had an “Ocean View” room, that placed us on the 4th floor. Both the 3rd and 4th floor are long hallways with an elevator at one end, we were very close to the elevator. Needless to say that noise was a factor in this stay. On our 2nd night, we decided to enjoy (what we rally come for) the Roof Top Deck sadly, once again it was reserved for a private event (funeral). I think it’s safe to say that if your expecting to use one of the featured amenities, you might want to reconsider your stay or call ahead. Between the weddings, business meetings and whatever else they can rent that area out for, I think you chances of enjoying it is slim to none. Remember, this was in February, not prime summer months. Unfortunately, our 2nd night of sleep was filled with crying babies, party revelers exiting the elevators, dogs barking etc. and just an over abundance of noise. We decided to cut our stay short and get a restful nights sleep at home. In short, this hotel has a great location. Close to restaurants, the main beach (although it’s a bit of a walk), stores and other venues available throughout the year. Prices are typically competitive in the winter months, soaring to local 5* levels in the Summer. It’s really hit or miss on the type of stay you’ll have here.

We spent our 42nd wedding anniversary at The Inn At Laguna and it was absolutely fabulous. Our room was an ocean view top floor and with the perfect weather we could clearly see Catalina and San Clemente Islands. We had a fantastic experience watching the sunset at the Rooftop Terrace Happy Hour, with our host 'Joaquin', who made us feel warmly welcomed and kept our wine glasses full.....as we watched the incredible sunset. 'Joaquin' loves his job and it shows, it was a highlight of our experience in Laguna Beach!

my stay at the inn laguna was great overall, and i loved coming back here due to my previous visit. i had a great ocean view my first time, but sadly my second time around was not so lucky. the partial ocean view room i booked had no view at all unless i stuck my head out the balcony and made a 90 degree turn for a far away mostly blocked ocean view. hotel was clean, and i love the location. easy walk to everywhere and to the beach!

Excellent location. Walkable to town, dining, beach, shopping, coffee. Easy access to beach and Park walkway connects from hotel. Do not miss the overlooks on the paved walkway- we wish we would have found it sooner in our stay and visited the tide pools at low tide. We had a king ocean view room with a great view, comfortable bed, and could hear the waves crashing through the screened French doors from inside of the room. While areas of the property are "dated" they are well kept and the rooms are updated. We are still talking about the great time we had and would absolutely stay here again if in the area. The only down fall is the parking fee of $40/night - but It seems this is typical to the area, and having covered garage Parking in a busy area is a plus.
