In a pinch, I refereed to TA reviews and picked this place because it was close and with a "discount" (sub-$200) for the last-minute booking on a Sunday eve. Definitely a miss. They tacked on several charges to the original booking amount and then proceeded to tell me most of their on-property offerings were already closed - it was just past 7 p.m. After also getting bummed that my room faced directly to the parking lot, I asked about alternatives and was quoted a ~$250 upgrade fee (for one night). The following morning I was awaken by all sorts of sounds, above, outside my door, and seemingly through the walls. Oh my! And then had housekeeping knock multiple times only to learn that check-out was at 11 a.m. - the gentleman at check-in did not mention this. I was later shown a paper with this detailed amongst several paragraphs of small print - something I was not too concerned with given my last-minute arrival and one-night stay. They threatened a ~$75 late check-out fee but was fortunately waved when I high-tailed it out of my room and pleaded my case. I did not feel welcome or comfortable - outside of its proximity to the town's restaurants and bars (which mostly had all already closed by 8 p.m.) - at all during my stay. Hotel's Favorite
Hotel had all the beach toys you could want to borrow. Chairs, sand toys, boogie boards. Amazing beds, soft sheets. Heated pool and hot tub for cool nights. Fabulous location. They had a rooftop wine happy hour in the evening, followed by a milk and cookie hour for the kids. Highly recommend.

Fantastic location and view of Laguna beach. A bit pricey for smallish not updated rooms. Hot tub and pool not particularly clean. Staff was excellent. Linens average. Snacks and beverage options pretty sparse

Love the location, next to beautiful Heisler park and perched right over the ocean. The trolley stops are close by. We enjoyed the friendly staff! Cookies in the afternoon are so yummy. Also the wine during happy hour was a nice touch. The feeling is very relaxed and the clientele is nice.

Enjoyed a weekend stay here. Love that it was right by the ocean, and conveniently located to the attractions on either side. Very friendly staff. Love the terrace view as well. Nice that they have coffee out in the morning and cookies out at night in the lobby - a little perk for staying here.

The location is beautiful but that evening when it was time to relax, the television did not work the phones did not work. There was a hole in the shower with toilet paper stuffed in it. The maintenance man said it was for the air conditioning condenser can you imagine taking a shower and having some type of water falling on you from a hole in the ceiling? The next morning I went to take a shower, and when I went to shut it off, it broke off in my hand and would not shut off. I had to hurry up and get dressed. We could not call maintenance because the phone wouldn’t work. My husband went downstairs to get him so he could shut it off. we were just there overnight, so got ready and checked out. The woman at the front said she would comp our parking I said just parking after all of that and she commented is that not enough for you? my husband just wanted to get out of there and told her fine and we left Just not a very peaceful experience. …

No need to rent a car for a weekend stay. Save yourself some money. There is a free trolly that is easy to understand and follow route. It basically has two trollies that go back and forth on the same figure eight route. Everything else to see or do in Laguna Beach is within walking distance. Special mention and Thank you to Judy for being so kind. We all know you can have a fantastic hotel but poor quality service. The Inn has a great staff that makes you feel welcome.

I am sure many other rooms are very good, but room 315 was the worst. Noisy, at all hours, small and ants. The location of the hotel was great, but for $1000 for two nights, it wasn't worth having a great location.
