This is an iconic building that badly needs a major refurbishment. Paying luxury hotel prices for a room with vinyl flooring and a portable air conditioner is unacceptable. Everything was dark and dingy and the parking is located across the street in an open lot requiring you to pack your luggage across busy Route 1. There is a wheelchair elevator but the old design is definitely not for the physically disabled. The rooftop bar is loud and uncomfortable, not a place for lounging. The restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner and is a sad affair. Breakfast is just a tray of snacks in the hallway. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Like being in Spain. Amazing beach, swimmable and surfable. Hotel provides towels, chairs and umbrellas. Staff is excellent. Best rooftop bar and restaurant for sunset. European bedding. Fire in fireplace. 1920s Glamor and exotic hotel.

This hotel is in a great location! So many wonderful things are within walking distance! The hotel has a lot of history and they have many photographs and artwork throughout to remind you of that significance. The staff is very friendly and willing to help! We live in laguna and stay here once year because we love this little gem so much :)

Amazing staff at this hotel, everyone was so accommodating they made us feel like family. The location is superb, steps to a beautiful beach and to the rooftop bar which has a good vibe and stunning views. Rooms a bit smallish but clean with great showers! We hated to leave.

Amazing food and service in a beautiful setting. Would recommend to anyone as the best place for lunch with a fantastic view of the ocean. The waiters were brilliant and toilets were very clean. You must stop here for lunch if you come to Laguna Beach

The hotel is old and run down. This is not charming it is dirty and dilapidated. Especially the public areas. There was no breakfast to speak of - self serve coffee flasks and pastries in packets a service station wouldn’t propose. Nice rooftop bar. For the price it is just bad.

We loved our stay here. Celebrates my wife’s birthday and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room had a great view, and was in walking distance of many restaurants and shops. We plan to stay here again!

Electric went out the second day. No air condition. Mid July and it was incredibly hot. I get that things happen- however it’s been my experience, that in Hotel -guest services is absolutely imperative and when an event like that occurs- if your unable to remedy the matter then ..you find other ways to show due diligence in that you care. It just felt like they had this whole “oh well”! Type attitude. Not even an apology. We went down to ask for a bell cart so we could just check out early and go somewhere else, and the front desk girl that clocked in for the afternoon was just so unpleasant and unconcerned. I don’t know, I hate writing a bad review. If I’m going to take the time to put something like this out there - please know..it had to really be a bad experience. We paid 350$+ a night and it already felt overpriced for what it was, throw in those series of events along with t e r r i b l e guest services and, this was one of the worst stays I’ve had in some time.…

Hi, unfortunately the power outage was out of our control and was a city issue. We did send out a broadcast and apology for the issue and kept everyone updated as we received news from the power company. Its unfortunate this happened and hopefully it doesnt happen again.
