Comfy bed, cute room, windows open to sound of ocean, peaceful surroundings, close to local amenities like sandpiper/dirty bird, Heidelberg, steps down to beach, rooftop lounge, coast liqueurs, south swell ice cream, free parking. Can’t rate this place high enough and our stay didn’t feel long enough. The crew is very polite and helpful. Will be staying here again. Everything you need is all located within 1 block of any direction. We stayed 5 days/ 4 nights and we both wish we had taken away from the other leg of our trip and made it 7 days/ nights at Casa Del Camino.

Very inviting lobby and room. Bed was very comfortable and shower and bath supplies were great.

This is the third hotel I've tried in Laguna Beach and so far it is by far my favorite.

I would suggest you book directly through the hotel. Some of the rooms can be quite small. Mine was nice for two people. But a friend of mine had a room and it was quite small. Some of the beds are queen and some are king.

The hotel offers coffee and packaged pastries in the morning. The lobby is very, very pleasant to sit in.

I didn't like how they did not make the bed daily. I think having hotel staff make the bed really adds to a very pleasant feeling when you return from your days activities. You have to request the linens to be changed. But they will not do it every day.

No screens on the windows, but pleasant breeze when they are open. Did we did not have any problem with bugs or birds coming in.

No closet in our room for hanging things. But we were just casual so it was OK for us.

I first experienced The La Casa Del Camino as well as Laguna Beach in general in 2022. I had a meeting in Orange County and being a Titanium Marriott customer, there was no Marriott available in Laguna Beach so I stumbled on the La Case Del Camino, and I must say, it is one of my favorite hotels in the country to this day. It's now 2024 and any time I have a meeting in Southern California within an hour of Laguna Beach, I stay here and have a few dozen times. The staff is awesome, genuine and welcome me in like I'm family as they call be name as soon as I enter the front door. There are two restaurants in the hotel with The Rooftop Lounge having one of the best views in all of Lagina Beach. The food in both is amazing and the chef often will offer me an entree off the menu just cause! This hotel is dog friendly and when I do not bring my dogs, the staff asked is disappointed as they love my dogs and spoil them with love and treats on every visit. There is a gym 2 blocks away that is offered with my stay which I walk to every morning that has all the equipment I need like my gym has at home. The beach is directly behind the hotel with easy access to get to and the rooms have killer views from outside the hotel windows! If you are looking for a relaxing and interment experience, something that makes you feel down home, this is your place.

This is an iconic building that badly needs a major refurbishment. Paying luxury hotel prices for a room with vinyl flooring and a portable air conditioner is unacceptable. Everything was dark and dingy and the parking is located across the street in an open lot requiring you to pack your luggage across busy Route 1. There is a wheelchair elevator but the old design is definitely not for the physically disabled. The rooftop bar is loud and uncomfortable, not a place for lounging. The restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner and is a sad affair. Breakfast is just a tray of snacks in the hallway. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Our first time at this hotel and in Laguna Beach. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they make you feel right at home. This historic hotel has been updated and adequately maintained that it’s a comfortable stay, and about 50 yards from the beach. Easy walking distance to the main part of LB with restaurants, shops, city park, etc. Comfortable beds and bedding. Would stay here again.

Our one night stay at the hotel for “Family Christmas 2022”was fantastic.

We started in the rooftop bar with appetizers and drinks with reservations at 1:30pm. Jake was our waiter and made sure we were well taken care of. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They allowed us to put all of our luggage in one of our 4 rooms at 1:30 pm when we arrived because the others weren’t ready yet.

The other 3 rooms were ready by 4pm with complimentary bottles of wine for each room. We had one surf room and 3 Queen rooms. The surf room was the most spacious and I would definitely book that again with a beautiful ocean view #314.

We had a nice dinner at Comedor and then enjoyed more wine, desserts and games that we brought with us in their beautifully decorated living room/lobby.

The staff, historic hotel, beautiful rooftop bar were all top notch and we will be back in the future.

If you want great food and the most fantastic views in Laguna beach, you must go to the Rooftop Lounge on top of the beautiful La Casa Del Camino Hotel in the heart of beautiful Laguna Beach. We stayed at the hotel over Memorial Day holiday weekend and enjoyed an ocean view room! WOW! Views!! On Friday evening, my boyfriend & I started out with their Happy Hour to enjoy the gorgeous sunset. I had their fantastic Sangria and some yummy appetizers. The portions were huge and at great prices. We then went back for Sunday brunch. We couldn't get enough of the fabulous food and amazing views! If you're a local resident or tourist like me visiting Laguna, you must stay at La Casa Del Camino which oozes charm and dine at or just enjoy their cocktails accompanied by a beautiful sunset when you're in Laguna. We had the best time! We highly recommend staying at La Casa Del Camino and you must enjoy the world famous Rooftop Lounge! We can’t wait to return! You must stay there!

Stayed one night mid December. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We arrived a little before check in, but they were able to accommodate us and check us in early. Parking in their offsite lot is free, which makes dropping off bags a little tricky. We were directed to a loading zone on the side street and a porter met us with a luggage cart to take our bags to the room while I checked us in and my SO parked the car. The room was very spacious and decorated in surf theme. We had an ocean facing view (over the rooftops). It was on the top floor which actually is right under the rooftop bar, so kinda noisy and chairs scraping the floor/our ceiling made the room a little less than peaceful... but it was nice and we were able to watch the sunset and drank wine from the room because the rooftop bar was packed and there was no place to sit and have a drink up there. Luckily the bar closed before we went to bed, so it was quiet again...
The bedding was damp for some reason, so we called housekeeping and they sent someone right up to change the linens. (It felt like the bottom sheet didn't dry completely in the drier, weird). Dinner downstairs was nice, except for the loud couple sitting next to us complaining about no Christmas decorations in Laguna Beach and why was the live musician not playing holiday music?? Well, we liked the guitar player and his set was very good, so not sure what that lady's problem was except she liked to complain! Nice stay overall, the loud lady at the restaurant wasn't the hotels fault, but I took a point off for the damp sheets and overhead noise from rooftop bar....

We loved our stay at La Casa del Camino! The hotel is very quaint and cozy, with very convenient access to the beach and beautiful views. I'm including a pic from right outside of the hotel where we sat having our coffee each morning. The location is great, and the Rooftop Lounge has amazing (practically) 360 views of Laguna Beach - definitely a spectacular spot to watch the sunset as well. Everyone was friendly and Joey at the Rooftop is great. Highly recommend!

La Casa is a beautiful Spanish style hotel with an amazing rooftop lounge that was the perfect venue for my friend's wedding. The service at the hotel was great, and the location was good, as it is walking distance to many restaurants and shops and is maybe a 15 minute walk to the main beach area.

My only major criticism is that the hotel is quite dated. My Spanish queen room was very small, and the furniture and decor all had a very outdated feel, and is very much in need of modernization. The hotel lobby similarly has a dated feel/vibe to it, and the carpeting throughout the hotel is old and worn looking. To be clear, I loved the hotel for my friend's wedding, and the service was generally great, but the hotel itself badly needs cosmetic renovations.

Thank you so much for staying with us! As we are historic property and European Spanish style our rooms will be on the smaller side. We unfortunately cannot modify them as that is our charm and we would no longer a historic staple in laguna. We do have some rooms that are made separate to be modern called Surf Rooms.

Good morning... There are surf rooms with bath tubs. However, I suggest you request a specific room number from the hotel to ensure your reservation includes this request.

You can pull up to the curb on the side street (Kress) to off-load your luggage. They have a small lot caddy-corner to the hotel. Can be a little difficult to park. There is supposed to be a guard to keep local parkers out. The day users (beach visitors) usually leave by 3-4pm.

Hello! The noise from the music in the lobby or guests leaving the rooftop is heard a bit more on the third floor. The quietest area may be the first floor.
