This property is for ppl who want to get wasted. That combined with thin walls = TOTAL DISASTER . If you are a large group that doesn't want to party till 6 AM, DO NOT STAY HERE. The Hotel cannot handle their are unruly guests. I came with a professional group for a relaxing, retreat. Our neighbors (we didn't know), threw a rager in their room from 3-6 am. We repeatedly called and texted the front desk. 1. When they sent security, it takes a minimum of 20 mins to arrive. So prepare to not sleep. 2. We asked to be move to another room when it was clear this wasn't going to stop. They "couldn't rekey us until the doorman came at 6am". This made no sense to me, but they Brian (who I spoke with) was very adamant about it. 3. I was staying for 2 days so I didn't want to be in that room if the neighbors would be there a second day. Attaching screenshots where they told me the party next door would be checking out that day. Which the after speaking with Patricia (the manager) later on in the day, she told me they were staying till Sunday. Suddenly, they were able to provide me with an alternative room. They never removed the partying guests from the hotel, and honestly the staff didn't really seem to care. They said it happens all the time. Good luck if you plan to stay here. (Also their Wi-Fi sucks)

We spent three days (two nights) at the property in late May (25th - 27th) and could not be happier with the choice. I think the staff always went above and beyond with every request. (Note: I am a Hilton Diamond member but I do not think that makes much of a difference - it usually does not.). They were responsive to requests and did a wonderful job of checking in to see what we needed. Our room was part of a building of four rooms (casitas?) and there were four buildings to the small pool we shared - right outside our door. It was a very relaxing experience and almost had an Airbnb type atmosphere- with a lot more amenities! There is a Trader Joe’s nearby (2 miles away)where we grabbed some beverages ( e.g. liquor, beer and wine) and nice munchies for the pool and our room. Other than that we could grab what we needed at the little market on the resort grounds. We did have a meal at the Adobe restaurant one night it was very good and we ate at nearby restaurants as well. While it was just my wife and I, we were thinking this type of resort would be great for an extended family get away where everyone has a little more space. One suggested excursion: we spent one very early morning at Joshua Tree National Park. We left at 6 am and we’re back at the resort by Noon. We entered off route 10 - Cottonwood visitor center and drove through the park exiting via the west entrance (where we paid $30). We did three very quick hikes totaling just under 5 miles that we recommend. (1) Cholla cactus garden .25 miles: (2) skull rock - the full trail 1.7 miles; (3) Boy Scout trail - only to the willow trail - just under 3 mikes for the round trip trek. It was worth the trek to walk in the desert among all of the Joshua trees!

Absolutely enjoyed it here and the place was awesome and staff was great. The food was fabulous and the entire resort was quite the experience. One thing that makes this a 3 star for me, is the noise was horrible. Each night I stayed I had a loud group outside my room that woke or kept me up all night. Noise policy (if any) is not enforced well.

My Husband and I spent our honeymoon at the La Quinta Hotel I had stayed here before for Coachella, but this was my first time back in years. We were so excited as the hotel is stunning. With all the accommodations you could need, you not ever need to leave the grounds. I put on my booking Honeymoon trip :) thinking this would alert the staff in some type of way. I would have accepted anything. Even just a fake enthusiastic congratulations. We did not get any of that. The hotel was empty. It is off season due to high heats, so an upgrade would have been super simple for the staff. The hotel has 40 pools and probably 1,000 rooms. Instead they “upgraded us to an even smaller room than we were in before”. Selling it as an upgrade (that it was not) They could have done better. The entire trip we did not receive any complementary desserts or drinks. Just simple things you think a hotel would do having it be the biggest celebration of your life. We treated ourselves to the spa. We booked two customizable massages. Choose the areas to focus on with whatever pressure you decide. My husband asked for more pressure, the lady got rude and said you did not choose a swish massage. (If this was something we overlooked In our pickings we would have been like oh ok. However it was not, and he should have been able to comfortably ask for deeper tissue without and back talk from the lady. Still after these things, we brushed it off and had a great time together. Until we were accompanied by hotel staff who were off (not working) using the pool (this is fine, I get it) however they were getting wasted, sloppy. They did not leave the pool for well over 5 hours, not getting out to use a restroom to pee….NOTHING. The man in the group was swimming in underwear, something I do not expect from a fancy hotel like this. His underwear where left on the pool side table for us to find the next day. GROSS Still my husband and I smiled on making the most of our celebrations. Leaving a bad taste in our mouths though for the money we spent on this stay! I probably wouldn’t stay here again, even tough I would want to for how beautiful the grounds are. So disappointed.

Dena, thank you for choosing our resort for your honeymoon celebrations. While we are delighted that you enjoyed our beautiful grounds, it is disheartening to learn that your interactions with a few members of our staff were not as positive. Providing exceptional hospitality is very important to us, and we can assure you that we will be addressing your feedback as a team. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and we hope for another opportunity to improve your impression of us.

While the property is beautiful, everything else about this property is awful. The rooms are extremely outdated and dirty and the service is non-existant. My husband and I come to Palm Springs/Palm Desert every year to celebrate our anniversary and we like to try new hotels each trip. We actually had to switch hotels in the middle of our vacation because it got so bad. Rooms: We walked in to extremely dirty and old carpet that hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. The bed was actually springs and was very uncomfortable. The TV was tiny and old and didn't even work when we got there. No netflix, no youtube, nothing. Restaurants: We went to Twenty6 for lunch and overpaid by a wide margin for two chicken caesar salads and a burger. Over $100 for sub-par food. Decided not to go back to one of the restaurants at the property when the surrounding area has so many delicious restaurants. Pools: The over 21 pool looked so sad and outdated. Another guest was blasting his music and forcing his music choices onto everyone else there so we left to go to the family pool. The family pool had the bar open and were setting up a bbq and some food for labor day. We thought okay maybe this will be better. Sadly, no. At other resorts my husband and I like to get a fruit plate or some hummus/veggies so we ordered a fruit plate and what we got was something out of a high school cafeteria. Fruit stuffed into a plastic cup. We ordered two iced teas at the bar, and that took 30 minutes not because it was super busy, but because no one acknowledged me for about 20 minutes. Not a hello, we will be right with you. Nothing. Then we decided to order 2 bbq chicken sandwhiches, thinking okay well if the chicken sandwhiches are good then maybe the hotel can redeem itself. We were just looking for any reason to stay because we hate being those people. However, they told us it would be 10 minutes for the food, 20 minutes go buy and we go to check on the food, come to find out they gave our food to someone else. Another 10 minutes go by, when we finally get our sandwhiches it was about the saddest chicken sandwhich I've ever seen. Only chicken and a burger bun. No cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, etc. No garnishes, no presentation. A piece of chicken and a burger bun in a plastic tupperware container. I couldn't even eat it. We decided that we were not going to let this ruin our anniversary and that it would be better to stay elsewhere. If you like to spend your hard earned money on dirty old rooms and no service, then by all means spend your money here. But if you come on vacation to relax, get pampered, and feel like you are being taken care of, then DO NOT COME HERE. Your money is much better spent at the JW Marriot or the Ritz.

Such a charming property! Love the casitas as they feel private and because there are so many pools, the resort does not feel crowded. The overall vibe is peaceful and relaxing. Daily housekeeping service was good as was the room service we ordered for breakfast one day and a snack another. Will definitely be returning for another desert getaway!

We stayed at La Quinta resort for 2 nights as the middle part of a three-part California roadtrip; we started in Santa Monice, stayed at La Quinta for Palm Springs and then went on to Huntington Beach, OC to end. Overall, La Quinta resort is a nice place to stay, although it's totally not what we expected! Perhaps we didn't do our research properly, or it's just not communicated clearly... La Quinta is NOT a hotel, for starters. It's a big village of self-contained apartments/townhouses/villas built around a communal hub of restaurants, coffee shops and facilities like tennis courts and gyms. So, rather than a room in a hotel, you get an apartment somewhere on the resort. There are 41 swimming pools, but that's slightly misleading, because they are all generally small and scattered; you'll end up using the pool closest to you, possibly as well as the main pool and the lap pool. We arrived mid-August, which was very much 'off-season' for Palm Springs area, as it was so hot. It was so hot that you couldn't walk from the sunlounger to the pool without your feet burning, so people in the pool would take it on themselves to splash water onto the pool edge before getting out to try and reduce the temperature. It really was scorching. The resort itself has a very mediterranean feel to it; it reminded us of Aphrodite Hills in Cypus the way it's laid out. The facilities were clean and tidy and well-maintained. The gym was good, ok, and well equipped and there are lots of tennis courts to play on. When we arrived, it was relatively quiet; a few retired couples and a small handful of familities. Mostly it was deserted (no pun intended). Sadly, this was a negative too; we stayed Sunday and Monday and found that the facilities open on Sunday were closed on the Monday. Where facilities are closed, you order 'room service' by using the QR code and then someone will bring food/drinks to you wherever you are located on the resort. Be mindful that it's so incredibly hot that any cold drinks probably only stay cold for 1 - 2 minutes at most, so don't order a cold beer unless you like chugging it! The room itself was nice although slightly dated inside. Overall, we had a nice stay. We would highly recommend the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for an activity, as it gives amazing views and takes the temperature down quite a bit. We imagine that this will be a very different review if we came in the winter, when it will be busier. We did had a nice stay and it was a really pleasant location, with good facilities, but it's not the sort of place we'd end up coming back to - we would more likely stay at the JW Marriott down the the road in Indian Wells (which we visited one evening) where there are nicer bars and it's more of a proper hotel. So, three stars from us, but we feel it's probably a little bit harsh - it's more like 3.5 in practice, and I suspect we'd give it 4 stars at a different time of the year.

Our overall impression of the hotel was exceptional, it epitomises old Hollywood glamour and a lot of effort has been put on retaining as much of the original features as possible, something I truly appreciate. The moment you drive through the beautiful tree lined driveway, you feel transported into a different era, there something very magical about that. We were given a room in a 2 storey building, however, the guests in the casita above us were really loud and heavy footed, It felt they were stomping their feet whenever they walked around. I called reception and they very quickly agreed to move us into a single storey casita which I was very grateful for. The hotel wasn't at full capacity so we were fortunate that another option was available. The amenities and faculties are great in general, however, the Mexican restaurant was truly underwhelming. Although the service was great, the food itself lacked any authenticity and felt like I was given a meal from one of those chain of Mexican restaurants. I guess it didn't help that a few days prior we had an exceptional Mexican meal at a truly authentic Mexican restaurant in Lake Tahoe where we feel like we were eating a homecooked meal. The staff at the MarketPlace could do with some training in customer service and general etiquette. One two occasions they missed an item from our order. It's exhausting having to go all the way back from your casita to the MarketPlace to request the missing item. By the time I returned to my casita, my egg croissant was cold. I didn't receive an apology for the missing item (just a pot of porridge) and it was literally thrown at me. It makes me resent giving a $10 tip! On the second occasion, they missed a pain au chocolate from the order and at which point I couldn't be bothered to go back to the MarketPlace to request it. The staff there need to do better. The gentleman on the golf buggy's were very charming and polite. They were extremely helpful and had a wealth of knowledge of the resort. They are a true asset to the resort. Brian (the Manager) was very kind and made us feel very welcome and exuded hospitality. We felt like he never slept because he'd be working 24/7. He would always greet us with a smile and take the time to talk to us which we truly appreciated. I would certainly recommend this hotel and I would most definitely return

Drove direct from Vegas through stunning scenery and arrived mid afternoon. Took a little time to acclimatise because it wasn’t what we were expecting but once we were settled it was a brilliant stay. A slight issue with check-in but nobody’s fault, just one of them things. Our little house/ room was great. Simple, tidy, clean and plenty big enough for 4. Lots of little swimming pools dotted around and one for adults only. The family pool is great and friendly. Open until 10 and when the sun sets they put on a movie on the big screen with free popcorn - dive in movie!! The temp was still mid 90s and a perfect way to end a day relaxing. The gym and tennis set up is simply brilliant. Food at twenty6 was excellent and reasonable. Food and drink from the shop was the same. Left 3 days later for our stay in LA (only 2 hours away) feeling really relaxed and chilled out.

In the weeks following our arrival, the La Quinta team made us feel so welcomed before we even stepped foot on the property. Biviana in Reservations assisted me over the phone in differentiating the room types and features of each room prior to me booking our two night stay,; she was excellent. I got in contact with Martin in Guest Services and he assisted me in ordering an amenity for my girlfriend's birthday, he could not have been any more helpful. When we arrived late into the evening, Brian checked us in; check in was simple and easy, no complaints at all! We ordered room service that evening and Jose delivered it in no time. The next morning, we had breakfast at Twenty6; the French Toast is out of this world and the Portobello Benedict was perfect. Our server Javier was personable and so kind to us, we really loved him. I feel horrible, I don't remember their names but the two ladies in the gift shop on Sunday morning were also incredibly hospitable and really took their time with us. Once again, I feel terrible but I don't remember the name of the Housekeeping Attendant who did turndown service for us on our second day. She did something so thoughtful: that morning, I had tried to use the complimentary Keurig in the room but for whatever reason, it wouldn't brew any coffee. It wasn't at all a big deal, I didn't even bring it up or call to have a replacement sent up since I figured it was just a user error on my end. When we ran into the Housekeeping Attendant that afternoon, she let me know that she noticed our Keurig wasn't working and that she was having another one brought it. The fact that she is anticipating our unexpressed wishes really says a lot right there. That evening, we had reservations at Adobe. Victor was our server and he was an absolute joy to talk to, super friendly and super kind. We're gonna need the recipes for the mocktails we ordered, they were both refreshing and equally delicious. That evening, I spoke with Bryan (different Bryan) at the Front Desk and he was so incredibly kind to us, he gave us five star service for sure. At check out, Arturo the Bellman helped us store our luggage while we bee-bopped around La Quinta and Palm Springs; Aruturo was friendly and as kind as can be. When we had left our room for the last time, we were standing in the walkway trying to remember where we had parked. Mark from Engineering drove by us in his golf cart and asked if we wanted a ride to our car. We took him up on the offer and he got us back to our car in no time despite us being out of the way from where he was headed to; I can't tell you enough how much we appreciated that. Fabiola at the Front Desk assisted us with check out and she was incredible. She, and everyone who had helped us throughout the weekend, really solidified us wanting to return again in the future! The resort itself is breathtaking. We stayed in one of the Starlight Casitas which has not only an indoor fireplace but an outdoor terrace with ample seating and a huge firepit! The bathroom was immaculate and the bedroom itself was massive. If I had one single bit of constructive criticism to give about the stay, and mind you, this is incredibly minor: the TV systems are a little older. While they do have a selection of On Demand programming available through a number of channels from AMC to HBO to Bravo, there is no major streaming outlets like Netflix, Apple TV or even YouTube. Just about every hotel I've stayed at in the last five or so years has updated TV systems that allow some form of streaming. Again, this was incredibly minor and didn't damper our stay in any way because, let's face it, you're going to be too busy enjoying the magnificent property and the massive amount of available pools to care about what's on the TVs. Overall, we could not have had a more fun weekend. The La Quinta Resort & Club is the PERFECT setting for a romantic getaway. The staff could not have gone any more out of their way to make sure that our stay was as relaxing, comforting and fun as it was for both of us.
