Good stay here. Room was clean. Bar service was good. I ate at the restaurant for breakfast twice. The spinach omelette is good. Abi was my server in the morning and bartender one night. She is great!
Stayed at the La Jolla Marriott for our 28th anniversary. Fabulous service from the staff! Two thumbs up to Angel who checked us in… Natalie at the bar restaurant and Nelli .. our server at the breakfast buffet! Great upbeat professionals all who made us feel welcome!!! 👍👍 👏👏
The hotel is a clean and tidy, but a bit dated. Nice views however, and close to shopping and public transportation. I stayed at this Marriott for a business trip, and the only reason I give a low rating is because a personal item was taken from my room by housekeeping the first morning of my 5-day stay. Within an hour of my room being cleaned, I returned and noticed the missing item and notified the front desk attendant. Nothing was really done about it, just “let me look into it” and then nothing more. For the remainder of my stay I checked multiple times on the status the missing item, and by the end of the week the staff seemed annoyed that I was still asking about it. As though returning home with all of my belongings was too much to ask. I checked out on the 5th day with a final inquiry, but there was no resolution, no apology, no restitution, and no mention that anything further would be done about it. So “buyer beware,” it’s entirely possible that something might go missing from your room during your stay. And the fact that personal belongings are taken from a guest’s hotel room during their stay is an absolute non-issue for the staff at Marriott La Jolla.…
My card was over authorized and I'm still waiting for the refund. I will never stay at this location again. Our group of ladies were treated like strangers off the street and we partake at this hotel all the time.
I've stayed at this hotel numerous times with my craft group. Usually we get great service at check in. This was not the case this time. At time of check at the very least we receive a welcome letter or even an amenity. The only thing we received was multiple charges on our credit cards. No one seemed empathetic to our frustrations. I will just book another hotel next time we are in la jolla.
We love Abeba! She is always so friendly, attentive and responsive. Tanisha is wonderful as well. We had many little requests throughout our weekend and they accommodated everything. All the food was delicious and the hotel is a really nice space. Hope to be back before another event soon.
had breakfast in the dining room and had the most amazing waitress named Abi. She we so sweet and caring with her service, very attentive and gave us recommendations of where to go on our last day in town. I will definitely be back and will definitely be asking for Abi as my waitress.
I stayed at the Marriott while visiting with my younger daughter my daughter who lives righ next door so I invited my daughters to have breakfast with me at Fresh. We had such a lovely time especially as Abi, our server, was so attentive and friendly. She made our experience even better. When I visit again I definitely hope to have Abi as my server.
Abi was the best server at the breakfast dining room. It made me want to come back here again and again. She was so attentive and kind. She went above and beyond with every aspect of our meal. She left us all smiling and we felt very well taken care of.
Came to La Jolla to celebrate my birthday and see the air show, Liz and Sonia went out of their to make sure we had a great room and a great stay! We were able to stand on the balcony and watch the Blue Angels practice with a view of beautiful La Jolla in the distance- pure magic! Every employee we met was courteous and helpful. Thank you Liz, Sonia and everyone at Marriott for making my birthday weekend an amazing and memorable one:) :) :)
