I initially made our reservations here based on availability and price. The reviews were good but did not convey the history and charm of this little jewel. The hotel is intimate, well maintained and cared for. It has all the amenities you need and the location is great. It is a "grande" hotel.

This was an excellent stay. The staff was courteous, helpful and made sure that everything was to the satisfaction of the patrons. The hotel is old and needs some carpet upgrades, the elevator is slow, but the view of the bay is great and it is quiet. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were big enough. It's with-in...

perfect location to downtown and beach with easy walk to both. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and large, we had a two bedroom suite which was comfortable for 3 adults and 2 teenagers. Only complaint was one of the bedrooms did not have a vent for air conditioning so room got warm at night if door kept closed....

Only complaint was that room #138 had a horrible loud buzzing sound all night when the AC in the room or next door turned on. It was unbearable. I brought this to the attention of the front desk. And all they said was I apologize. I wish they would have made amends or parially compensated us somehow. Also, the bed...

This was our second visit and we will definitely be back. Our only hiccup was the made service this time. On our second day, my husband was in the room when the maid arrived. I believe she misunderstood and thus we did not get the same service as on our first visit.
