Hotel's Favorite
It was in a great location, I was able to ride their complimentary bikes to the beach and walk to brunch in 5 mins. It was walking distance to quite a few places which is always great. The staff was very accommodating as well, would definitely recommend.

We were seeking a mid-market priced hotel in La Jolla. This fit the bill perfectly. Great location for shopping, wandering, etc. the food quality in the restaurant was just excellent. Service throughout the entire facility was top notch.

Great room with a view of the ocean. My son and his family stayed at the Grande Colonial as well. Their room and view was wonderful. Had a great time at the La Jolla Cove and not worring about the parking.

The Grand Colonial is a must stay if visiting La Jolla. The service and accommodations are top notch and the location is unbeatable. The brunch menu is outstanding with many options for a sweet or savory meal. I will definitely be returning!

We had a great stay at the Grande Colonial. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, and the lobby and bar area of the hotel are great places to hang out in. There's valet parking -- which I don't usually like, but at this place, it was very easy -- just pull into one of the spaces up front, and they take care of the rest.

Love this hotel. Spent a week there and when I arrived the room wasn’t quite what I expected but oh the response from the staff - they did everything to move me and indeed did the next day . They were polite , friendly and just couldn’t do enough and my room was beautiful. The service here is just simply exceptional , it’s a gorgeous place , my only niggle being I’d have liked a kettle in my room to make tea but that’s just the English in me. Great location so lots of great places to get coffee and tea close by and I went to sleep with the sound of the waves every night . Yet above all , it’s the staff that make this place , from the doorman to the front desk , it’s exceptional service and I will be back !

Disappointed that as hotel guests we were unable to get a drink after 9 p.m as the bar closed.. First time this has ever happened to us anywhere in the world. Also the restaurant was only open Wednesday-Sunday.

For a first class hotel it is inconceivable that residents can not get a drink after 9:00pm. The hotel generally gives an impression of poor management with the staff having poor local knowledge and giving an impression that guests are an inconvenience,

The hotel was perfect for our group, the Reception, Meetings, and Lunch were in perfect space. The food and beverage was wonderful - and the service throughout the hotel was outstanding??
