My husband and I had planned to stay at the Holiday Inn at Klamath because of its perfect location near Redwoods National Park. But we arrived earlier than expected and visited the park on the way to Klamath instead of the following day. We stopped at the hotel and asked if we could cancel the reservation at such late notice. Sally was working at reception and she cheerfully canceled the reservation with no penalty. I was so grateful. While I was waiting to speak to her I looked around the property. It was spotless and although she told me the hotel is seven years old, it looked brand new. There is a casino on site, with a restaurant. If you're going to the parks, this is a great location. And because of Sally's excellent customer service at the Klamath Holiday Inn, we stayed at a Holiday Inn in Eureka that night.

Nicely appointed room with an amazingly comfortable bed, but I'm deducting one star due to the nightmare breakfast situation. Standing in line for 15 minutes or a half hour while one person at the front desk assembled items for the groups in front of us was not a good experience.

Has to be THE nicest Holiday Inn's we've ever stayed at. Very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The problem is that nothing wasn't open during our stay. Not sure if because the government was still giving away $$$ to not work and they couldn't get help (problem at a lot of places) or due to Covid restriction by the governor that weren't loosened when the CDC reduced their guidance. No breakfast, no food anywhere, even the casino wasn't open - except on the weekends. No access to pool or gym because of Covid. Again, because of governor restrictions, not because of the CDC.

Hotel was very clean. Beds were comfortable and room was quiet. I am very picky about hotels. I can't sleep in noisy ones. This hotel was very quiet. We had 2 rooms and both coffee makers did not work but you could get coffee from the front desk. There is a line. They are under staffed due to covid. Staff was very friendly. Not much open in the area due to covid. We were just spending the night there and visiting a family member in Brookings. Was glad that the staff told us about the construction delay on the way to Brookings. They told us leave before 8:45 to miss a 2 hour delay. We made it through. The only thing was the heater was a little noisy. Also no bar soap for sink I had to use the liquid soap from the shower.

We had a good stay here during our visit to Redwoods NP. Pretty clean, comfy bed, friendly staff. It wasn't a WOW experience, but it was a solid stay. Advice to future visitors..... Bring your own soap. There were complaints from earlier reviews up to three weeks before about them not having bar soap. I made sure that we had bar soap with us and saw them tell others they were waiting on a shipment stalled in Eureka when we stayed. They also told them to use the bottle body wash provided in the shower lieu of the bar soap, as was told by a previous reviewer three weeks ago. I don't understand that....get another supplier or spend some money on bar soap for guests. There is major road construction north of the hotel on the US 101 that occurs between 9am and 5:30pm. Try to pass through there around those hours or risk a two hour delay. They work for two hours with the road shut completely down and then allow traffic for an hour. The casino is shut down right now and there are limited eating choices locally. Take yourself something to eat in case nothing is available. The restaurant attached to the motel is open Thursday to Monday limited hours. This is due to limited number of employees available thanks to the road construction and Joe Biden's unemployment blank check extravaganza. Our stay, again, was very good. The staff was extremely nice with advice about the local area and the highway construction. Thanks to Mike for the advice.
