CON: Owner - Jan. Two encounters with her. FIRST - when I approached her about breakfast and if I needed to settle anything (used a $10 credit voucher) after my meal and was welcomed with a curt and rushed tone. SECOND - checking out and asked for a print out of my statement for the remaining balance. I initially had... More

I stopped at the Inn after a day of coastal and Redwoods National Park sightseeing. For the area, it is a great place, but it lacks the friendliness and homey atmosphere of a typical bed and breakfast. The staff was efficient, but not too friendly. It seemed like the whole place is being run by outsiders who are not too... More

We spent a memorable night there on a 3 day motorcycle ride. The setting overlooking the Klamath river is very nice, and the inn itself inviting, airy and bright (lots of windows and pastel colors). The inn keepers were quite welcoming, the food very well prepared, the menu exciting, the family style sitting different but convivial, the rooms somewhat "historic"... More

The staff was so kind. They really made us feel at home. Evenings spent on the front porch with other guests, watching the moonlit Klamath river will be one of my favorite memories of this trip. The Requa House was a true delight-amazing sunrise viewed. We will be back!!!

We stayed in room 22. The room is beautifully appointed and the bed was super comfy with nice bed linens. The local soaps were lovely and they're for sale in the lobby. The bathroom was a little odd (& tight) with a very low in-room sink but, it was private. The room is over the dining area and on the... More

Hello Robin, Thank you for taking time to review your stay with us. I'm so glad Rm# 22 was to your liking, it is one of our nicest, and yes unfortunately it can be slightly noisy upstairs during dinner as the building is very old, so I apologize if that caused you any discomfort. Regarding breakfast, you should have received... More

My husband and I spent the night here on our drive up the 101 from the Bay Area to Oregon and had a wonderful time. I booked a dinner reservation in the dining room when I booked our room and I would highly recommend it. Dinner was amazing and I cannot believe it was only $38/person. The food was fresh... More

What a find! We enjoyed the location, somewhat remote, but a nice walk to where the Klamath River meets the ocean. We hiked their secret path that put us on the beach and watched the local fishermen and seals early in the morning. We arrived in time for dinner and enjoyed a full breakfast in the morning. This was a... More

We are so happy that you enjoyed the Inn - we love our home here on the River - and you are right we are very remote - 20 miles to the nearest Safeway - but we feel as though that adds to the Charm of this 100+ Inn - Have a wonderful rest of your summer and hope to... More

We held a mini family reunion in the Redwoods of Northern California the last week in July. My family is usually a hotel type family, but my brother suggested we try renting a house instead. After a lot of research, we settled on the Historic Requa Inn in Klamath. I have to say the view from the house is amazing!... More

We are glad that you enjoyed the house. With the warm summer days in land we do get a coastal influence of fog July 15th thru August 15th... we don't have TV's on purpose to let our guests unwind- I'm sorry if that was a bad part of your stay. The ceiling fans are a good idea - we certainly... More

On our tour along the US west coast we stopped at this hotel for one night. We arrived in the late afternoon (around 6p.m.) and had a warm welcome in the lobby/reception area. This area looks like a big living room with a small library, sofas and seats, stairs to the rooms on the upper floor and a reception desk.... More

Dirk, We are glad that you enjoyed some things about the Inn, and you are right the Inn is "old fashioned", the Inn was build in 1914 and we have tried very hard to keep the furnishings and the room fixtures "period specific". We do have larger rooms, they also have antiques in them as well, but a Full size... More

On a drive up the Pacific coast, we were looking for a place near the Redwood National Forest and came across this gem by the Klamath River while planning our trip. It fully holds its early 20th century charm. The rooms (at least ours) are very comfortable yet sparse (no TV, no mini-fridge) and we loved it. Don't miss having... More

Hello there! Glad to hear you had such a nice time Paul, and we sincerely appreciate the nice review :) Family style dining can be a little out of the "comfort zone" for some and yet just as you've noted, it makes for a one of a kind experience getting to mingle with lovely people from all over the world!...
