My mom had to evacuate from the Chimney Fire late last night. I told the front desk clerk it was an emergency evacuation and we needed a dog friendly motel. He said they had a room, but the price? $154! For a room that was so bare-bones it didn't even have a box of Kleenex in it. The 'amenities'--two plastic... More

I stayed there for one night... It was not bad at all but... wifi didn't work... I asked the reception desk about the password they gave me, if there was something wrong and I was told that this is the password they have in the last 5 years!!! Password didn't work and that was not my fault...

Motel was right off the highway 101 and easy to spot. The person who checked me in was very nice and helpful, Wifi is free. The room its self was clean and the beds comfortable and shower clean and hot water and had a fridge and microwave. Lots of grass area around the motel to walk the dogs to do... More

It's a motel 6 I wasn't expecting a 5 star resort. But this is probably the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed at......the lobby smells like garlic too kinda weird. But yeah I don't know why I always stay in King City probably because it's halfway between LA and SF maybe I should start driving a little further out

Nothing special about this place. Clean. Decent bed. But, The shower had a bunch of cracks that was filled in with caulking. It was stained and I wore my flip flops in shower afraid to catch something. Doing alot of renovating here so maybe that shower will go bye bye. I sure hope so. Big rig Diesel truck (no trailer)... Often the cheapest Motel 6 around and often the last with a room when only $200 rooms are available in Cambria and Morro Bay and Monterrey etc. The Hunter-Ligget road to the coast is not that bad (lots of curves however) and rather scenic especially the giant ancient valley oaks in the former military reservation you have to pass by... This is the worst motel 6 I have ever stayed in. Housekeeping left a broom in our bathroom. Someone put a garbage bag over the smoke detector. There's also tissue paper stuffed in the peek-hole in the door. this is supposed to be a smoke free bedroom, nah someone's been smoking in it. Price shouldn't be $76, should be half... More

Ok, I can't find fault - it seemed to be clean. However, just know what you're getting: a very small room (mirror on one wall to make it feel larger), oddly shaped bathroom, and a small bed. It actually felt like a dormitory, with Pergo floors and fluorescent lights. The hard-surface floors actually made it feel cleaner than carpet would... More

Needed a budget room before hitting San Francisco. Too tired to make it north of the Golden Gate. The reviews were slightly better in King City than in Salinas, and prices go up from there. The room was clean and quiet. Recently remodeled. Flat screen tv. Only issue was the internet was down. All in all, a good value budget... More

This was at the beginning of a long trip, and I must say, after all is said and done, Motel 6 is as good as you need, and, in some ways, better. The only drawback is that the room wasn't carpeted (I'm a barefoot kinda guy), but everything else was fine and comfortable. There was even a fridge, always a... More
