Clean motel. No frills. Breakfast was minimal. Several fast food and Starbucks nearby. Safeway market close by too. TV, microwave and small refrigerator were working great. Bathroom was clean. Linen and towels were clean. AC worked great too. No carpets, only wood look vinyl flooring
Perfect location for Pinnacles National Park, equidistant to the East and West entrances. We hiked and recommend both. Keefer’s inn is clean, nice staff and good sized rooms. Clearly the owners care a lot about the place. Perfect for our family of 3. Plus cannot beat the price.
Close to the highway, but not much else. However, room was clean and well-equipped. Adequate breakfast in office with apples and packaged pastries. Desk people were amiable, who recommended dining at restaurant nearby. We did not.
We booked the King City hotel and found it to be quite nice. The room is simple but clean. Quiet with an adjoining restaurant (King Kora). Breakfast is noted but the portion of the small lobby allotted to that made me claustrophobic so we passed.
I stayed here to go hunting at Fort Hunter Liggett. The room was nice and clean, no complaints. Bed was comfortable, TV, refrigerator and microwave in the room. Good value. Gas station adjacent to property for quick stop for gas or snacks.
First of all I think we need to moderate expectations in a small rural town. Can't expect big city accommodations in a small town. Given that our stay was very good. The room was spartan and a little worn but clean and comfortable which for me was the most important thing. Amenities were very basic and that's what we were expecting and that's what we got. Check in is efficient and owner is friendly.
If you are coming through King City, this is your place to stay. We noticed there weren’t many choices in the city, so we picked Keefer’s Inn, and we’re so glad we did. The staff was very friendly at the front desk, and the room was very clean (exactly as pictured). We had a great experience and will definitely be back if we are in the area. We were going to Pinnacles national park the next day, and this was the perfect location for a quick stay for us. Thank you Keefer’s inn!
I stayed here for about 10 days while in King City for work. I was a little skeptical about this place since it still has drive up rooms. However, the second floor has locking doors that you need to use a key card for. The room was your standard hotel room. The door has a deadbolt but no additional security measures so maybe one thing to consider adding. The bed was pretty comfortable, though the bed spread is a bit outdated. Bathroom looks to be newly remodeled but there is really no place to put toiletries since they have a pedestal sink. Decent size fridge. The A/C unit was pretty loud, which I guess was positive and negative. It made it hard to hear the TV but you didn’t really hear any highway noise. I liked the fact that I couldn’t hear my neighbors since I was sleeping during the day. I also didn’t hear housekeeping banging around while they cleaned which is often an issue at larger chain hotels. They do have a pool with a grill area but the pool itself was closed. Good location to the highway, there is a gas station, and a restaurant adjacent to the hotel. BK is across the street and the grocery stor is less than half a mile away. Overall if you are staying in King City this is probably one of the better options. …
My GMC Sierra broke down in King City and I had to stay overnight. I chose Keefers because I had stayed there 7 years ago. Owner/manager and his wife were exceptionally helpful to me..mini-tooth brush and ride to car-repair locale. Motel is clean, secure. Keefers is a keeper! You won't go wrong staying at Keefers.
It is an old hotel which has been refurbished. Everything in my room appears to be new except the couch. It is clean but is hanging on on to the musty odor from when smoking was allowed. Recommend they keep the air/heat units on when no guests are in to help clean the air.
