Great Location nearest to the Hell Valley. The Onsen is very big room, only public bath, plenty of choices and temperature rating including Jacuzzi and Outdoor Bath that cleary see the hell valley. The Japanese Room type is very nice and clean. Hotel has so many resturants and activities. Only one downside is food. The presentation is not really great the... More

The hotel is located very near to the Hell valley, and convenient to the main street of the Noboribetsu. Anyway the town is not big. The room is Japanese style, with good size. However, overall the hotel is a bit old. A lot of tourists staying there, Chinese, Taiwanese and even local Japanese. It makes the place not a quiet... More

Our first night in Noboribetsu we booked here as we were arriving after 6pm and wanted a less expensive place as the next night we had splurged for Takinoya. Dai Ichi was a pleasant surprise I suppose in that the room was exactly as expected and the onsens are huge and varied. The all you can eat crab buffet was... More

My family of 7 adults and 1 toddler stayed in 3 Japanese-style rooms for 2 nights. It's one of the bigger ryokan hotels we've stayed at. I think the hotel was quite fully occupied looking at the crowd at the onsen after dinner, but the place never really felt over-crowded as we walked around because of the huge hotel grounds.... Nice Tatami room, Very nice Onsen and as well a swimming pool with a waterslide which our kids enjoyed a lot......... Buffet in the evening and in the morning had a lot of variety but after a day it becomes a bit boring. We enjoyed our time there!

Booked 2 Deluxe Japanese-style Rooms with breakfast & in-room dinner for 2 nights. Front desk personnel spoke very little English and was not particularly friendly. We enjoyed the onsens and found the bathhouse clean. For dinner, we had the crab dinner on the first night, and the exclusive dinner on the second, both were good and our server was very... More

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Please note, that I'll be sharing your feedback with our cashier and reception staff for internal review. I hope we will have the pleasure... More

I almost always agree with the reviews but not this time. I'm not sure if all these other people that said how wonderful this place was and how it had "the best breakfast of my life" have never travelled before or if the mineral spring water made them delirious. The hotel really needs a make over. The carpet is old.... More

I was hesitant knowing that this is a large hotel although rated highly. But the staff makes the hotel personal from the reception check in to the waiters during buffet and breakfast. Room We (4 of us) had the tatami room which also a small sitting area which overlook the garden. The size of room is more than enough for... More

We visited this place for the onsen & simply loved the place. We were a little hesitant to go in at first as you cannot wear anything inside but later on the onsen made us happy. We would recommend this to anyone who is visiting Hokkaido.

This property is huge by any comparison. It features a large number of communal baths; separate for men and women. The bath schedule is confusing as the men's and women's batch location change every day.The meals were top notch and while the featured a smaller number of items (Japanese and Western) they were all presented professionally. Rooms are traditional Japanese... More
