1. Dinner and breakfast were amazing. The dishes and ingredients were exquisite. Private dinner was initially arranged for in-room during booking, however was told that it would be in a private dining room instead. Breakfast came as a Japanese Set with additional mini buffet of both Western and Japanese dishses 2. Location was great. short walk to the small shopping... More

As above. Travelled jul 2014. Kind and attentive service by female butler undeterred by lack of English speaking skills. Great food catered to dietary needs. If you go in summer may be rather hot bathing in the balcony which only fits one person. Warm departure gesture by all hotel staff when shuttle bus departs for Sapporo.

This hotel is expensive, but it was totally worth every penny! We stayed in the Japanese style room with private hot spring bath. The room is very comfortable and clean. The hot spring is the actual spring water from Hell's Valley a couple blocks away. Sitting in the private hot spring tub on the balcony and looking at the mountain... More

My family and I booked 1 night stay at Ryokan Hanayura in June 2016. It was the most expensive stay during our Hokkaido trip and well worth the visit. The room was spacious with 2 western beds and a separate tatami room for tea which is converted to Japanese futon beds at night. There is space for 3 futon beds... More

I was there with my husband to celebrate our 30th anniversary in early May. The hotel location is great very close to the sight-seeing location within walking distance. We booked the 1 price 2 meals package for 2 night stays. The hotel is very nice organizing with different food menu each day - no duplicate for both dinner and breakfast.... More

We spent 2 nights in tatami room with open bathtub and half board. The room and the public hot bath were expected. But the dinner in the room was surprisingly good, both in terms of service and food. And the 2nd night, the food was even better (variety - no repetition, cooking and presentation, in particular vegetables). We really recommend... More

I love the free Shuttle bus service. It is from Sapporo TV tower to the hotel directly around 90mins. It can save your time, money and energy of searching. For the hotel itself, staff are friendly and good in introducing room facilities. Traditional Japanese dining in room. Good beef. And the view from room is really nice !!! But the... More

We stayed there for 2 nights in August. The place is good, meet all the standard of a Japanese onsen ryokan. The breakfast was good, especially the raw shrimps and salmon roes. We had a room with private bath on the balcony. This is good for my girlfriend. Personally I like the big public bath pools.

We stayed at Hanayura following a recommendation from our travel agent. The choice was fantastic. The japanese rooms are very spacious, with a magnificent private onsen on the balcony. They staff is very friendly and we had the best japanese dinner of my life at the restaurant on the basement. The public onsen is also great!
