Arrived at Mary Beach Hotel, was like a horror movie, the place has been turned to rumble, not so much hotel but the area, first could not find booking, should of left then, but had been a 5 hour journey, finally got to our rooms, just so basic, uncomfortable bed, damp walls gaps in doors, no lamps. Toilet rolls non existent, Bad night's sleep. Breakfast, not good coffee was like Tar omelette managed to eat, everything else just looked horrible. What gets me, is the hotels that want to keep trading there standards have dropped so badly it is a nightmare it is bad what has happened to the area, but close down.

I have little to say that doesn't include swear words. The hotel is disgusting, no restaurant, the beach has been demolished and the whole area is a building site. Please please change your plans if already booked I wish we never arrived and completely ruined our entire holiday. We are now left with nowhere to stay 8 nights and dont want to stay in this area.......

If you can avoid Sihanoukville you should. It doesn’t matter where you stay. The construction sounds, constant vibrating of the floors and walls is going to affect you. We have the family room. It is worn and is not worth the price we paid for. Other places were much cheaper and more newer. The room has mold stains, the reception roof has also mold stains, there are cracks appearing everywhere because of the road construction outside. Towels have holes in them, no place to sunbake or sit unless you have a room that walks to the pool. Not a good place for kids and families because there’s only a few seats available and it’s at one end of the pool and can’t really watch kids properly. It is not a peaceful time to be in this area for the next few years. The town is disgusting, dusty, literally not what to expect but a true city run over by Chinese and their plight to build and gamble. Roads are being built everywhere, rubbish and waste is everywhere, can’t walk around the town either. The staff is lovely and trying to accommodate, but there’s only so much they can do. The affect of all the construction and all makes the experience here unpleasant.

This hotel is absolutely filthy, the rooms are extremely dirty, the bathroom is full of mould, the towels they supply look like they have never been washed. The DONT change the bed sheets, I’m to scared to close my eyes of a night as I don’t no what’s crawling around. The service is appalling. Do your self a favour don’t stay here

We needed a roof for a night and got it Mary Beach Hotel, as we had to leave the Islands a day early due to an upcoming storm. The hotel has a somewhat tired and worn expression and our room was a bit moldy. We were not impressed by the breakfast, which was quite ordinary and simple. The restaurant was also a bit special. Situated on the beach it is probably fantastic in the high season. On this stormy night in the vet season it was not a great experience. Decent food was served, but we were surprised to see several stray dogs sitting in the restaurant begging for food, and also getting food from some of the guests. Not really worth the expence, but we got a roof over our heads. Think this will be outclassed by some of the many upcoming Chinese hotels, that are currently being build in the area. Sihanoukville in general will probably be a touristic nightmare in a very short time.
