We saw the positive note on Lonely Planet; sounded too good to be true. When the tuk tuk dropped us off in a run down backyard with lots of scrap things around, I was starting to get suspicious how good the food could be. We did not stay there but only wanted to eat. I don't think anybody stayed there....

Went here for the restaurant one night. Funny journey to the restaurant added to experience (standard inclinators only have 1 cable, this one has 3- safe and functional), we were the only people there (low season) but the staff were happy to cook a feast for us. Incredibly flavours, HUGE portions of seafood, super friendly young chef that couldn't do...

I went with visiting friends to Chez Claude for dinner. The restaurant has a great view and getting there with the tractor pulled cable cart was a great joy for my 6 y. old son. But that was about it. The food was expensive and absollutly not worth it. The food was probally the worst I had ever in Cambodia....

We went there for dinner because of the top choice of lonely planet. The location is nice(especially at sunset) and it was a interesting experience to go there by cable car. The food was not as good as we expect. The squid was okay, but the steamed fish did not tasted fresh. If you want to eat fried spring rolls...

We went to Chez Claude during our stay in Sihanoukville. It is away from the main restaurants, but definitely worth finding. The trip to the restaurant is quirky, but added to the experience. We all chose different meals and each one was excellent, especially the three seafood dishes we selected. The owner's wife Doodoo (?) was incredibly welcoming and talked...

It was hard to find a room on chinese New Year so we reserved this hotel and it was a big mistake. It is in the middle of nowhere and it seems that there were better times but now it is abadoned and a little bit neglected. There is nothing around, wifi only works in some bungalows and to have...

Amazing views from the mountaintop restaurant. We didn't stay in the guest house but it looked quite nice with private bunglows dotted atop the hillside. We came for lunch and it was dead but the staff nonetheless opened the kitchen and made us a delicious lunch. Access to the restaurant can be done either by a paved trail up the...

What a gem. My room overlooked the ocean 2k below, and the walk to the beach (independence - one of the nicer ones) was 15 minutes. In the evening I would open the french doors and surround myself in the mosquito net (bugs not a problem) and hear ... quiet. The restaurant is very good. I would never stay in...

After reading rave reviews of this place and wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle to somewhere quieter for a day or two, me, my husband and my mother opted for chez claude. With two fan rooms with adjoining bathroom we thought the $40 a bit steep as we we're coming from an enormous, aircon, cable tv, freew...
