We initially went for friday night and Saturday night, but we loved it so much we decided to stay 2 more nights! We had room 1,very cozy , on out last day the sweet innkeeper Diana went out of her way and upgraded us to room 17, over looking the river. It was a dream hearing the river at night from ur bed. We had our private balcony and bbq grill. It was immaculate. Thank you Diana for everything you did for us! Will return! Love Heidi and Shawn

We visit here at least once a year but this year we got plenty of snow on thanksgiving 🌨 we absolutely love this place and have only ever stayed here. The manager Diana is absolutely wonderful!!! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would 🤗 she went above and beyond for us and I'm forever grateful for her. Thank you again Diana 😁 we will be back !

I surprised my fiance for his birthday with a trip to the Kern River which happened to be labor day weekend. If you've never been to Kern River, Staying here was the BEST decision. It was a packed weekend in Kernville so staying a little higher than the chaos was exactly what we wanted. (Only like 5 min drive). It is the only spot on the river, and Diana was so accommodating. Jason( a man who works at the lodge) was also very kind and accommodating. We didnt know what to expect having never been to the Kern River and we are now Obsessed. We originally came for white water rafting but will be back specifically to stay here at the lodge! We loved the patio, the riverfront, the BBQ, the location. They gave us fresh towels, coffee, and had direct TV perfect for lazy morning relaxing. They even gave us some cooking supplies to use after we purchased some steaks to cook on their BBQ. There is an ice machine and the room has a microwave & minifridge so you're good to go! The absolute best part of the stay was the short walk up to an area you can float back down to your hotel on a raft. The water was low in Sept. So we bumped butts a little but the float had rapid and slow floating so the walk up was totally worth it. (I sugguest bringing a little ice chest raft to tow behind like we did). Overall the room was clean and gave a very homey vibe, Diana treats you like you're her own family which was the cherry on top! My fiance and I are big travelers and adventurers and have been a lot of places, but this has to be our new favorite! We cant wait to bring our families back

Stayed here on the way into the sequoia forest. Cute place, simple roadside motel. Room was very very clean and nicely furnished. Everything in the room was well maintained. Located on the river with access. A great place for the night.
