Had neighbors not watching their kids letting them run and ride bikes threw our campsite. Parents loud music and partying till 3 am. Camp host told them to be quite a few times. They would just laugh and turn the music back up when they left. Nothing ever really got done .. Woke up to large amounts of their trash all over the place. The campground never did anything we ended leaving first thing in the morning. We have been coming up to this place for 10 years. Not sure if it has anything to do with the new owners but it appears she has no clue what she’s doing. We won’t be back. Worst camping experience ever !!!!

Worse campground ever had people haveing sex in the shower rooms while my 12 and 13 year olds were taking showers. Had a lady going to the bathrooms 5 or 6 time a day each time she would came out of the shower room and walk around the bathroom area naked in front of young girls that is very Inappropriate. Staff members said that she was allowed to do that and they were very rude about it . I warn anyone who has kids to never go to this campground it’s not a safe place for kids to be.

We have stayed here at Rivernook a couple of times. Pros: The spaces we have stayed has been excellent with lots of room. Noise was quiet around 10:00. Staff including grounds staff has been very friendly. Cons: Some of the spaces are so tiny you sit in your patio chair and lean your head against your neighbors trailer. All n all it’s a good camp site. Oh I forgot I think the biggest majority of spaces is for tents. So if your a tent camper this is the place 👍

We weren't expecting much since we are used to primitive camping, but rivernook did not disappoint. We booked 199A, 199, and 197 and were super close to the general store, entrance, and river. We had a large group and most brand new to camping so having toilets that flushed and a shower were a great plus. We loved being close to the store to get ice or ask questions. We were able to book our rafting adventure with Eagle Rock Rafting the same day which was recommended by the front desk. Checking in was a breeze as well. The campsite is clean and there is shade. Being close to the water was great and we loved being able to see/hear the water in the mornings. Because we had a large group we were told about quiet hours on a Friday night by 10/11pm, which was fine and to be expected. Honestly we are trying already to go back. Being close to the town was also a plus and Lake Isabella! We greatly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

We booked a site here with a few other families (each booked a site). Weather seemed ok 2 weeks prior, but as we got closer to the date (Memorial day weekend) the forecast got worse by the day. I called about 5 days before to ask about it and about re-scheduling and the girl said it’s too early but in case of bad weather like they had 2 weeks they will call us and re-schedule. She also said they did the same 2 weekends ago. I kept following the forecast and it kept saying rain and thunder-storms. I called again 2 days before and was told “the weather here can change in a moments notice, we’re still waiting to see what happens”. Friday morning (the day we were going to go there) the forecast was still bad. I called again and was not told that they are “open rain or shine” and will offer no refunds or cancellations. So depends on who you talk to, you may get different answers... Needless to say, we didn’t go. I wasn’t gonna drive 5 hours to sit in the tent on a rainy stormy weekend. Now here is were it got real interesting – After the weekend I spoke to one of the other families and here’s what they said: “WHAT ? ? ? I made one call and they told me it’s not a problem. While I was on the phone they sent me an email that I have credit with them and have a year to re-schedule”. Now what do you say to that ? ? ?
