Our family has been coming to Rivernook for YEARS! I'm not sure what happened with ownership, but my god they have let this place go. My family and I paid $330 dollars to stay here for 5 days in which 2 of those days we didn't have ELECTRICITY or SHOWERS. On top of that our ghetto next door neighbors decided... More

We have been going to Rivernook since it opened, in the 1970's, I believe. We originally camped at Camp James, next door. The disasterous flood in the 60's wiped out much of Camp James and rerouted the River. Rivernook was born and Camp James is very small now. This is a big camoground with many direct river front sites -... More

Hello, I just wanted to touch base with you on your visit. I would like to thank you for staying with us. I also want to apologize on the call back issue, I will get the front office staff to get a better handle on this. Our bathroom remodel will be complete this winter and we will have the wifi... A Wednesday night and the campsite next to us was up to a least 3:30 am Yelling, drinking, dropping non stop F bombs, loud music and No security/camp host telling them to stop it. Management offered to move us but why should we have to spend 3 hours tearing our gear down and re setting it?? Why didn't they ask... More

This place is awesome. We return for three years now and it gets better every year. The place is very well kept. They are renovating the shower houses. The folks up there are very respectful. The maintenance hands Taylor and the boys are always busy making sure the place is well kept and they are very helpful and respectful. Rivernook... More

The "new" owners are doing their very best to improve the property! It's now very clean, building new office & store when there in late March 2016. They plan on adding WIFI yea! Everyone was so friendly and nice! And I do mean very nice! And there living in the area! Prior owner was way out of the state....very cheap... More

We really enjoyed this RV campground. It was nice, had clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and was only an hour away from the Trail of a Hundred Giants, Sequoias! Of course the full hookups was a great plus! We had nice friendly neighbors and just being right by the Kern River was a plus for daily walks. Definitely recommend!

Been going there for 25 years in our motorhomes and "loved it very much" - "till this year"! Made reservation for SEPT 2015, Cancelled because of a family situation. Told us we could not get a refund because it was only 15 days notice. Said they would mail us a credit of $160.00 (future visit) and would mail us the... More

Wow, are you kidding me! Was told by the office upon making reservations that sites had grass for tent camping, not true, nothing but dirt! Bathrooms are in very poor condition, stall doors falling off, toilets running (and they ask you to conserve water!), shower stalls filthy, water leaking from broken shower pans. Dog poop in campsite, really people! Office... More

This was our first trip to Rivernook and I can say that this is a Nice campground. The spots were clean and big. Plenty of room to manuever a fifth wheel around. Showers were old and need some TLC but the water is hot and that is rare for a camp ground. Right on the river . The new management... More

We have been going to Rivernook since 2002 but never again. The campground has been going downhill on park maintenance, the restrooms/showers are disgusting and the trash bins are always overflowing before trash pickup. We have overlooked that until this year. Our reservation got messed up and we can understand mistakes. However, the subsequent treatment that we received from Rivernook... More
