This was our first time camping at this campground. There were 6 adults and our 18 month old grandson. We stayed for 3 of the 4 nights of our reservation. I would have happily left after the first night. It is funny, they don't want you blowing up your air mattress after 9:30 pm, but they have no problem letting people have outdoor strung up disco lights, loud music and drunken behavior well into the early morning hours of 2 am. They also do not enforce taking down of popups and other paraphernalia along the riverbanks. When we asked the maintenance guy about this, he got belligerent and hostile immediately. Extremely unprofessional. I have been camping for over 50 years and I have never run across such an unruly campground as this one. Fellow campers were drunk, high and loud. If you want to commune with nature, enjoy camaraderie with fellow campers and enjoy the outdoors, DON'T CAMP HERE! The tent sites were full of micro trash (plastic water bottle lids, water balloon remnants, paper etc.). We will never come back.

This place is so beautiful, I definitely will go back, but there is room for improvement. There were some loud campers and NO enforcement of the noise curfew. There could have been staff circulating like in other campgrounds reminding campers about their noise levels. BUT there was a larger problem to be worried about - they had signs to wear masks on the bathroom doors, but NO ONE was wearing a mask inside. This made me feel unsafe. They could try to enforce that rule if they are going to put a sign up. They should figure that one out since Covid is still with us. Other that these 2 issues, the place is gorgeous enough for me to return. I would just not use the restroom and be ready to put in ear plugs.

It’s an ok spot. It’s a dustbowl without bbqs cable hookup and terrible WiFi. The 30Amp service is weak when lots full and temps are hi. Now price is double for rvrside spots. An ok spot bt not worth $150/nite. Greed has set in. We’re priced out.

We had such a blast with our family. The campground was spacious between both our neighbors. Bathrooms were kept clean and stocked with paper. The grounds maintenance busted their behind working day in and day. Campers broke the water lines by accident twice and the staff quickly responded and didn't stop working until the issued was resolved. In addition, they notified us that bathrooms were going to be closed but provided onsite alternatives. Ants were an issue but Holly came right on over within minutes to apply the proper kid/pet friendly solution and didn't skip a beat in asking if she could offer any further assistance to make our visit enjoyable. Staying an additional night wasn't an issue and Scott helped us coordinate the reservation within minutes to a perfect location for our family.

My family and I would come here every year but will never return after the visit we had this weekend. We stayed in spot 418 with our trailer. The electrical box malfunctioned and fried our plug. It was night and we were hanging with our family in the next spot so luckily we witnessed it happen and were able to unplug in time. It started with a weird smell and then the power went off and back on. So my husband went to check the cord and discovered the damage. He unplugged it and the box was glowing red inside and plug was completely ruined. If we had been sleeping it absolutely could have caught fire. We flagged down a worker and showed him what happened, he said he would let the office know and they'd come to check it in the morning. The next morning.....nothing. tried calling...no answer. My mother in law drove up to the office to again state what happened and ask if anyone would be by. A few workers came over to fix the box and one was very rude! We asked about the damage to our plug and they said talk to management. Finally another guy arrived, told us it was on us and they were not responsible.....really? How am I responsible for their electrical box malfunctioning? They tried to say we were drawing too much power. Well then why didn't the breaker pop on their box if we were drawing too much? We had only been running the ac like every person in the park that weekend. Anyways the man then tried to offer us $20 to "make it right" my husband refused his money and we left, we will not return.

Shady "Private" campground. As you know, the French Fire started on August 18th and till this day, it's still on fire. My reservations were on August 20th-24th. I decided to call them on August 19th to ask them if there were any last minute cancellations as I wanted a river front site. This is when they informed me there was a fire and the air quality was fair/bad. Of course, I was concerned about my family and my relatives that were joining us. We were a big group and our reservations cost nearly $1k. I requested to get a refund. At first they seem to understand and they would need to ask the owner. The owner refused and instead gave us a credit voucher that's useless because you have to book a year or two in advanced, like I did with this reservation. I understand this is out of their control and so is mine! It's not like I was being irresponsible and did not cancel in a timely manner. Who knows where I will be in a year or two and if I can get time off on the best dates.

Being a "private" company that they are, they are all about being greedy. They did not want to lose out on $740 (I had to cancel 2 sites 30 days prior, thank goodness). They simply do not care because they were still open when they were on evacuation notice. I have proof of this as they mentioned it on FB. Mind you, the evacuation was given on day we were suppose to leave. Imagine if we were stuck there during the fire because Rivernook Campground did not want to lose money.

DO NOT BOOK with them. They seem to care at first until they have your money.

BTW, I tried to warn others on FB. Guess what, they blocked me from making comments and they deleted my post. They do not want to be exposed of how shady they are!

We were booked into this campground for 3 nights in June. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency we needed to cancel our reservation. We sent at least five emails to the office regarding cancellation, as per the instructions on their website. We have received no response whatsoever. This is very unprofessional. Of course, we would not think of ever booking this campground in the future.

A beautiful place indeed! Family camping at its best. We reserved 7 sites, one was RV partial hookup on the river and was PERFECT...4 were right on the river, and the river was accessible BUT had quite a bit of vegetation overgrowth which did hinder the exploring area for the kids that we were accustomed to under the previous management. 2 other good spots based on previous visits with the flowing of the creek, we were quite disappointed that the creek was completely over run with high vegetation. Nonetheless, the folks running the place were awesome, the crammed river space was refreshing and we can't wait to go again!!

It seems Eric L. from Redondo Beach needs to stick to a campground more his level.

Perhaps the KOA - Beverly Hills is more to your liking? I'm sure they will even heat up your Toilet seat before using it if his Majesty so pleases?

I've camped there more than a few times over the past 10 years and not once have I seen Diapers on the ground NOR Dog-poop-land-mines scattered around as he suggested.

Sure... there are trailers that have full-timers.... but they are near the front.

The point of going there is to be near the river.... not up front. They are however very clean as I remember.

I don't remember the Bathroom conditions NOR do I recall seeing any "Tweekers". I do think that had the bathrooms been as bad as suggested that I would remember that. (We use our Trailer bathroom for convenience though).

I'm going to chalk his review up to being (possibly) a competitor from "a much better spot downstream".

Look up Yelp reviews to see what people on average really think.

Drove from Lancaster (2hours) on Sunday afternoon 1:00pm arrival asked to drive thru park to check it out for future stay. Was told they dont allow Fri Sat or Sun drive thru's. Asked why was told their park was full and wouldnt allow an entry of one vehicle. Sunday check -out is 12:00pm I was there at 1:00pm how could the park still be full? Really! Checked out Camp James next to Rivernook very friendly welcomed us to drive thru their park. Know where I will be staying Camp James.
