We stayed at the Kenwood for my wife's 40th birthday celebration. The staff was absolutely incredible. They made every effort to make our stay perfect. I cannot say enough about how helpful everyone was from top to bottom. The Inn is immaculate and, honestly, the photographs on the internet just do not do it justice. This is one of those rare occasions where you get way more than you anticipated in terms of the look, feel and comfort of the property. That is not to say that the pictures are not impressive. They are. However, the actual property is just bigger, more beautiful and well maintained than I could have ever imagined. The Inn was at capacity while we were there, yet it felt like it was at 15% capacity. There were no crowds, no waiting for anything, just peaceful people enjoying the property with us.

The Inn is very close in proximity to a number of great vineyards and restaurants. We ate at Salt and Stone just up the street and it was amazing! We also did a tasting at Annadale Estate Winery (less than 3 miles away) and it was mind blowing! B.Wise's tasting room is also just a hop and a skip away. There was a nearby pub that was great and several in our group had a great meal at the Glenn Ellen Star (also nearby). There is ample parking, EV charging available, and many nearby trails to walk on.

This is a very special place. It reminds me of the Old Edwards Inn over in Highlands, NC. If you've been there, then you will know what to expect. Just over the top. I cannot say enough good things. Feel free to email or message me for more information!

We recently stayed at KIS and had a phenomenal stay! It was very stressful to plan a cross-country escape during these ever-changing times, but Sebastian, the concierge, made planning a breeze. He provided fantastic recommendations that fit what we were looking for.
We appreciated the hotel's flexible cancelation policy and the adjustments they made to insure distance and safety. This is such an ideal property to stay at because there aren't many units and all suites are accessed from the outside. So, you can go from your car to your room's door without touching any other surfaces. The breakfast was delicious and the mini wine and cheese plate was such a thoughtful and delicious touch.
We were able to take advantage of a tasting dinner with Chef Sam and wine pairings and really enjoyed it.
This property is gorgeous! I was not expecting it to be as large and spread out as it is. KIS is located just off a busy road, but it felt like another world once you are in the interior. I was expecting one or two larger buildings, but rather there are several smaller buildings that house 1 or 2 suites each. We loved using our gas fireplace on the chilly nights.
Finally, the Kenwood area was ideal for us. We put a lot of miles on our rental car as we explored Sonoma, Napa, Russian River Valley, and the Armstrong Redwood Reserve.
I highly recommend this property, especially during these distanced times! We look forward to returning in the future and being able to take advantage of the spa.

We typically visit Sonoma once in the summer and once in the winter. Since we went around new years, we found a winter special, pay for one night, get the second night free which made the price more reasonable. Our room was great - in the back, so quiet, private, and large. Service from the concierge, Sebastian, was great. Service at check in from Sam (I think) was also very nice - he walked us around the property and to the room. The only drawback with this property is its proximity to the highway, but given where are room was toward the back, the road noise really wasn't bad at all. Oh, and the complimentary wine and cheese and the breakfast were very nice. Overall, very happy with our choice.

We were excited when we arrived at the old world beauty of this property. The vines climbing the Tuscan style resort made for a very european destination feel. The rooms are very spacious. We stayed in the Grand View King - 3rd floor (no elevators, but they will help with your luggage). Views of the vineyards across the way were gorgeous. The full moon was rising over those vineyards in the early evening making its spectacular appearance. Fire place, flat screen TV mounted above the FB, huge glass enclosed shower (with high water pressure). Jetted tub. Speakers in the wall either side of the bed and one over the jetted tub. Front balcony with a bistro table set. Upon our arrival, there was a bottle of wine in the fridge and a mini picnic tray (nuts, a couple of cheeses, apricots and 6-8 crackers).
Due to Covid, the spa is closed. However, they have turned a couple of their massage rooms into poolside retreats. We rented one, right next to the pool. This has two nice lounge chairs, two sitting chairs, a fireplace, air conditioning, piped in music, wet bar, robe, slippers, mini fridge with sodas and water, bottle of sparkling wine and carafe of OJ along with a charcuterie tray. Doors and curtains close for a completely secluded private getaway, or open them up to enjoy the sun and the sound of the waterfall into the heated pool. The hot tub was also closed due to covid, but at the opposite end of the property is a warming pool. Large enough to safely social distance and yet, 104 degrees fahrenheit (and jets). Complimentary breakfast (not the greatest) delivered to your room at your predetermined time.
The mattress wasn't the greatest, but it was ok considering the big picture.
Very quiet location, peaceful and tranquil. Would definitely recommend this and we will be back!

We debated visiting CA due to the restrictions from Covid but Kenwood did their very best! The room was absolutely gorgeous! We stayed five nights and the staff from check-in to mid-day requests went above and beyond and continued to service us with a smile. The afternoon cheese plate and cookies were a great touch and the breakfast was delicious! The toughest part was staying for such a length of time without housekeeping service. We hated bugging the team for a change of towels, TP and any extras but again they were great! The pool was refreshing but on several occasions there were no pool towels and though the chairs had sanitized signs displayed we saw new couples sitting without continued sanitation. The only thing I would recommend would be more pool monitoring during these tough times. We highly recommend for couples and we hope to return from the East Coast sometime soon.

We came here to Celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary this week. We arrived early Sunday evening and missed the wine and cheese reception. To our surprise the wine and cheese were waiting for us in our room when arrived. Our room was near the pool area and the guests using the pool were courteous and not loud. Our room was huge compared to other Four Sisters we have stayed in the past. The ambiance is everything you would want. Quiet, bubbling fountains, fire pits in the evening, soft lights and more. My wife and I loved our time there and did not want to come home yesterday.

The inn is like a Tuscan village with charm, romance and a dose of panache. We will come back again after our next trip to another Four Sisters Inn in Monterey.

Breakfast was very good. Two of the three mornings we were there we had breakfast by a fireplace which added to our enjoyment.

Definitely a keeper in my book.

If you are thinking of staying here , stop reading these poor reviews and book right now ! These people obviously have some ridiculous standards and no appreciation for the little things (especially during covid) . Also, you pay for the room you get ! So get the a grand king suite with a view , Request room 20 or 21 :)

Our stay at Kenwood was better than we had imagined . We checked in for our honeymoon , I noted this and our room preferences in our reservation and the staff selected the perfect room and made us feel so welcome and at home.
It is a given that the views , room size , and fireplace were spectacular but the amazing staff was that added bonus. Everyone from front desk, concierge, pool attendant was super accommodating and friendly .
Lastly our daily breakfast was amazing — every single day. We are big food people so it the freshness and quality of items was noticed , from the eggs to the ham and produce , the delicious breakfast potatoes and the yogurt and compote on top to the perfect coffee blend . The cooks did awesome with the chefs choice selections we were pleasantly surprised every day . Management should be proud of the entire team there . We will be back and we will be recommending Kenwood Inn to others.

This trip was for my wife’s 60th birthday. I chose the most expensive suite based on its falsely advertised description as the most luxurious room in the Inn. When we entered what we were greeted with was far from that expectation: a child’s art project chandelier, shabby couch, pictures hung at the ceiling, wobbly cabinet and a TV positioned in front of the door, nowhere near a seating area. We walked into the second room to more of the same. A modern tub and nicely pressed sheets being in contrast to the shabbiness. The bed was pressed against the back wall with no headboard and the pillows against the cold window curtain and trim. There was also no TV in the sleeping area despite having a huge open wall and tons of empty space. During the day the room is very dark and opening blinds in the sleeping area reveals a less than desirable view to the work area.

The shower had a broken handle and lime deposits on the shower head. I texted to have that fixed and they did send someone to try to fix it but had to patch it with a clamp until they got parts. The daily cookie service after our first night was hidden behind reception and available only when we asked. The cookies were good but the breakfast food was not.

I texted several times asking to change rooms but was told there were no available rooms. However, during our stay I saw several smaller king sized rooms that were not occupied.

I stayed here for 5 nights in late February early March. The property itself is pretty but it is located right next to the main road that is busy day and night. They placed many water features to mute the noise but it is not peaceful. The breakfast is okay and there is no option for the main hot dish and it's not very good. The yogurt is good and the fruit but you can't have both. Never saw any cordials when I was there and you get the same boxed cheese each day. I also heard another reviewer say if you don't book with them they take amenities away. The location is also not very close to many of the better restaurants and will require a car. I think other options are better at this price point.

If you are looking for a Huge Room in California wine country, this is your place. The front desk staff at the hotel was very nice. Our room was large and our fireplace was one of our favorite features. The Breakfast in the morning had a little something for everyone. The first morning we complimented the chef because she had made these cream cheese chocolate chip muffins that were great, she did not respond, that was surprising since the kitchen is open the eating area. The evening, the Inn offers a wine and cheese tasting with local wineries every night at 5pm. The wine was good and the cheese was incredible. Also, in the evening, the Inn has a variety of evening wines and ports that are complementary for the Inn's guests. Our group sat around the fireplace and enjoyed some delicious Port.
