After learning about the Joshua Tree Inn from a motorcycle review story, I put a visit on my to do list. I usually try to support older and historic places while traveling, and the Inn is a wonderful one to support. It has tastefully preserved the story of Gram Parsons' love of the Inn, and I was glad that I...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Joshua tree inn. The lady at the front desk, who helped us choose our room, was very gracious & friendly. Her name was Deedee - a warm & welcoming person. After you've been on the road all day, it's nice to be greeted by someone like her. The inn was charming & peaceful....

I don't want to keep going on about this place, but this is my third stay in this little oasis of tranquility. Four nights here and I'm ready for the next year. No frills or luxury, but comfortable rustic accommodation in beautiful gardens surrounded by desert views. Thanks particularly to Dee Dee and Terina. Unless things deteriorate,or get even better,...

Went there for the history and was not disappointed. Was great atmosphere, friendly staff and a real sense of peace. Was a comfortable room and you could feel the love of those who visited before us. The courtyard was really comfortable as was the private outside space for each room. Take a trip back in time, give your regards to...

They said it was kitschy. It was just poor cheap taste. They only let me use 2 of the 3 bedrooms although it was advertised as a 3 bedroom house. When we used the pool down the road at the motel we had no bathroom access. They sent us to a nearby porta-potty! Seriously, they had a bathroom but it...

We are sorry that you did not care for the house, but your crude characterization is totally uncalled for and mean-spirited. We understand that you started off upset because all of our Inn rooms were occupied, and the Villa is a 5 minute walk down the back road to our pool. We understand that you were upset that the pool...

...that's unspoiled in a good way. Rating 5 for the ambiance, comfort, and effort to maintain a local feeling for travellers. For the most part, the facilities are fresh and colorful, everything works, and the beds are comfy. The hostess (owner?) is super-helpful and friendly. The rooms are arranged like a classic 60's "motor court" but instead of facing a...

The Joshua Tree Inn is great. It's a throwback in the best sense. It's place in history will forever be cemented because of Gram Parsons. What keeps you coming back to it is the charm of the place itself. It is simple and it isn't fussy. That's kinda what makes it great. It's slower and less less complicated and that...

I stopped by on the way to nearby Joshua Tree NP to pay my respects to Gram Parsons, a musical icon, who died here. The heartfelt items people left at his memorial are proof that he remains relevant and is still affecting people through his recordings. The memorial was simple but very impactful.

My fiance and I stayed here last weekend for two nights and had the absolute best time, we'll definitely be coming back! We love how laid back and welcoming it is here. Having never been to the area, and only seeing a few photos online, we were honestly expecting the hotel to be a bit more run down than it...

A really special place to stay! We stayed on our way to Las Vegas from LA and it was the perfect place for the real Joshua Tree experience, I loved all the decor and landscape around. The staff were very kind! There isn't much in Joshua Tree so make sure you take food with you, the hotel just supplies cereal...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Joshua Tree Inn, built in 1950, is a Hacienda Style inn conveniently located just six miles from the grandeur of Joshua Tree National Park. The Inn has long been known for the warmth, charm, and comfortable lodging it provides for guests visiting California's extraordinary Mojave Desert. The Inn is laid out in a square horseshoe that provides privacy for all of our guests. All of our eleven rooms are on ground level, facing our desert courtyard and large pool. Our decor is eccentrically eclectic. The Inn is the site of the legendary Gram Parsons Room, where the beloved and respected musician/songwriter spent his last hours. Room 8 still offers a quintessential "Cosmic American Experience" to fans of the father of Alt-country rock. On the peach colored wall hangs the same mirror and picture that hung in the room back in 1973. The Joshua Tree Inn features a large swimming pool, as well as our peaceful zen courtyard & koi pond, plus dining room access & gift shop. We also provide complimentary coffee, tea, & morning snacks for our guests. All of our charming rooms include: Private Patios ... more   less
