My husband and I stayed at Timber Cove for our MiniMoon right after our wedding last year in early September. Our stay was absolutely perfect. We were there Mon- Wed and it almost felt like we had the resort to ourselves. Our ocean view room had a little balcony where we spent a lot of our time, the fireplace was cozy and easy to manage, the bed was SO comfy, the record player was great for cozy, foggy nights (next time I'll bring my favorite records), and best of all - you can fall asleep and wake up to the waves crashing!! We also loved both of our dinners and walking around the property. I would only change two small things: 1) how great would a hot tub be here?! 2) our cocktails did not taste great (but the wine was delicious). As an FYI there is basically no cell service, but that's a part of the getaway. We're considering staying here for our anniversary this year :-) absolutely loved it at Timber Cove. Remote, foggy, romantic, beautiful.

We held our wedding at Timber Cove October 2018 and it was an amazing weekend. From the minute we showed up on Friday, all of the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. Everything for the weekend was seamless and Debbie did an amazing job coordinating her staff and executing all of our requests. We chose to use flowers by Natasha as our wedding florist and she made an already beautiful venue even more stunning. Lastly, we had multiple wedding guests say that the food was the best wedding food they had ever had (and by that, it was nothing like wedding food but was absolutely amazing). We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. Oh, we also love staying up there and can't wait to spend anniversaries and celebrations there for years to come.

We stayed for two nights at this Inn. They did a really nice job combining elements of design, good quality and nature. The record playing are a small touch but it comes back in the total design of the Inn. The beds are terrific and sleeping with open windows and listening to the ocean is fantastic. The kitchen is good, sitting outside and enjoying breakfast was a big plus. We loved our stay !

I just spent one night at the Timber Cove Resort and it was as beautiful as expected. However, other parts of the experience did not live up to expectations. Pros: -Stunning location -Beautiful, well kept grounds including an amazing lobby -Nicely kept rooms and lovely details in them (pour over coffee, filtered water, record players and records, etc) -Very good food Cons -It is remote and it feels even more remote because of winding roads to get to/from it. There is nothing nearby so be prepared to spend your time at the resort or nearby hiking/beachers or have to drive miles to find alternative places to eat. Cell phone reception is almost non-existent -I booked a Forest View Room, which should more aptly be named "Building View". Sure, once can see trees across the road but, because of the way the resort is laid out, the view from these rooms is mostly of the front of the resort and/or other rooms. Then, one has direct view of the entertainment area which is just below, including ping pong tables, etc. My particular room #15) had a circular wooden staircase accessing a tiny loft area with A-frame roof (read; hard to walk around) where the bed was. This was cumbersome to get up and down. Also, the only TV in the space was up there in the loft so to watch TV I had to be in bed. -Noise: this was very disappointing and a major issue. The level of noise from the front entertainment area (which the Forest View rooms all directly face) was annoying. Children playing, parents chatting, etc. Then, on top, all of the rooms (even Ocean View) have doors that face the 3-story lobby. The lobby, while beautiful, acts as an echo chamber so there is also noise coming from there. At night, a singer and a musician played for 3 hours, then there were dozens of people hanging out in the lobby or eating, etc. All of this with no sound isolation. It was not a relaxing stay at all and even if I had spent hundreds more on a Ocean View Room, I suppose the noise from the lobby would still have bothered me. Puzzling that they did not figure this one out when building it! -The fitness room was dirty (dog hair on mats) and the equipment in need of maintenance.A used towel and glasses I noticed at 5 pm one day were still there at 10 am the next day. Also, there is no heating and one of the two small windows that overlook the ocean had a broken crank so could no be closed. It was cold. -The grounds are nice but they have sorely missed a chance allow guests to enjoy the ocean (other than for those who stay in Ocean View Rooms). There is a single fire pit with only 5-6 chairs which get taken fast. And then a single wooden table (not counting the restaurant's). So a stunning ocean view with a missed opportunity to create places for guest to enjoy it. The front part of the hotel (with ping pong tables, foosball, etc) is nice but the noise it generates outdoes its value. So a nice place which I would not mind staying at again but not as relaxing or well-thought out as I expected it to be.

We came to Timbercove for our 15th anniversary. Foolishly having reserved a forest view room (thinking we could just go outside to see the ocean) we quickly realized we wanted an upgrade. The front desk was very helpful and gave us several choices for reasonable money. We were very happy with our cove ocean view. From the second floor you really feel like you are in a treehouse as many birds soar by. The view is amazing and this location is very private. In addition,we received a bottle of sparkling wine 🥂 There were a few problems with the room that we really didn’t notice until we did. The outlets didn’t work so only the overhead lights could be turned on. The coffee maker wouldn’t work. The TV wouldn’t work, the fireplace wouldn’t work. The record player and table lamps wouldn’t work, etc. The friendly and concerned front desk dealt will this quickly while we were at breakfast and removed the upgrade price from our bill. The restaurant is very good but pretty expensive. It would be nice if they offered something moderate, possibly a bar menu, as well. As it was our anniversary we splurged and enjoyed guilt free. We will definitely come again, knowing which rooms to choose. 4 stars only because of quirky issues mentioned above and high cost. Special occasion destination!
