We researched hotels in the area for 1 day stay on our way north. Timber Cove looked wonderful, but what a disappointment! The scenery is beautiful. The Coast Kitchen food was reasonably good, but the service needs some improvement. What I remember mostly about this hotel is the smell of chlorine. That's what I smelled first when I opened the door to our room. The sheets, the towels, everything smelled like chlorine. Horrible. The bed is very soft. The pillows are so big that you can break your neck sleeping on them. Most of the parking spaces at the front of the hotel were taped of for a special event when we arrived. But there was no special event as far as we could tell. The tape was there all night and still in the morning. We had to walk to the overflow parking. The price for a room ($422) is outrageous. Total rip off. But it looks like they can get away with it, so why not? Cannot say anything about housekeeping services. We stayed only one night. We continued north and our next hotel room smelled like lavender and was half the price per night. We will never come back.

We held our wedding at Timber Cove October 2018 and it was an amazing weekend. From the minute we showed up on Friday, all of the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. Everything for the weekend was seamless and Debbie did an amazing job coordinating her staff and executing all of our requests. We chose to use flowers by Natasha as our wedding florist and she made an already beautiful venue even more stunning. Lastly, we had multiple wedding guests say that the food was the best wedding food they had ever had (and by that, it was nothing like wedding food but was absolutely amazing). We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. Oh, we also love staying up there and can't wait to spend anniversaries and celebrations there for years to come.

This was our first time on the Sonoma Coast and visiting Timber Cove. Beautiful scenery and vistas on the drive up. We have a small dog that is part of our family and this facility is the most dog friendly place I have ever visited. If you are not a dog person it might be somewhat annoying but it was perfect for us. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and the Halibut & NY steak were perfectly prepared. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. We had 2 rooms since our daughter was with us also which were the Cove/Ocean view room and a Cove view room. It seemed like the preferred rooms over on this side of the resort would be rooms #50-56. I personally thought the cove views were better then the ocean views. Great well marked walking path around the entire property.

This was our second time staying at the Timber Cove. The atmosphere is so very friendly and relaxed. Chatted with fellow guests at the fire pit, and at the bar. Great food for both breakfast and dinner at Coast Kitchen. Takes so little time to unwind here, with the stunning views and beautiful grounds. And there is so much to do on the drive between inland Sonoma and up towards Mendocino - so many fun spots and great places, to eat and explore. Staff is fantastic and very helpful - and makes great suggestions for activities and food.

Breathtaking scenery along the coast. Charming hotel with amazing views & alfresco dining. Decor is mid-century quirky and done very well. The staff was very pleasant with great advice on the local area Timber Cove did not disappoint.
