Wright's Beach is a wonderful place to camp. Most camping spots have some kind of vegetation that provides a bit of privacy from your neighbors. For those who don't like to completely rough it there are toilets and sinks located in two different spots. You can usually purchase wood for your fire pit and every time we have been there everyone was very considerate...
Wow what a great find you camp right next to the beach. You can hear the waves crashing all night long witch is a great sound to lull your self to sleep. Its a small camp ground that is kept very clean, and the camp host was very nice to let you know about the surf warning and the cooler bandits at night aka the Raccoons. Would come back again. The premium spots give the best ocean view..
You can camp here but it's worth a stop and a walk around the bluff above the beach just to the north. It's not far from Jenner and other sites like Goat Rock and the Russian River towns of Duncans Mills and Guerneville.
We love it! The wife and I took our 17ft travel trailer and spent Christmas 2018 at this beach for the first time. We must have gotten lucky reserving a spot the 1st time because want to go back this Summer but have discovered that trying to book a front camp spot is like trying to buy concert tickets. You gotta keep accessing the website and look for cancellations. Otherwise the beaches and surrounding towns are great for hiking and exploring.
All the campsites are on or close to the beach. It was dog friendly. Folks were considerate with their pets. There are restrooms, but no showers. Your RV must be fully contained, as there are no hook ups. We use a small solar panel to recharge our batteries. The local law enforcement went through the camp 2 times a day and that was a good feeling. No Wifi connection, You must go into town.
