This was a great hotel. It is basic but it was clean, large and very well maintained. We only stayed 1 night on our way to Lake Tahoe but overall it was exactly what we needed. The pool was also in very good condition and it was close to both Jamestown and Sonora.

Great value for money. We stopped here to break up the journey from San Fran to Yosemite. Jamestown looks like an old mining time, and was lovely to drive through. The hotel is located on the main road, the room was basic but clean and staff were friendly. The pool was an added bonus and there were only the 2... More

This is our third time that we stayed at Miner's Motel. We have noticed that the owners have steadily been improving and updating their property. They have redid the outer pathway and stairs. New carpets (at least in the room where we stayed...the one with the cute teddy bear). Free wifi. Mini frig and microwave in the room. DirecTV. Swimming... More

The rooms are nicer than the exterior of this property would lead you to expect. The carpeting was new. The bed was more comfortable than we had a Best Western down the road the night before. The towels were clean, but a little worn. We have a small dog which is why I think we were given a room nearer... More

Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your feed back and are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Our pool will be undergoing a remodeling very soon and will be open just in time for the summer season. We hope to see you again. Thank you, Management More

We came to Sonora for the annual Celtic Music Festival and stayed in the Miner's Motel. We immediately noticed the seclusion of the motel, a swinging bench, and a cute gazebo out front. The check-in was smooth, especially since we were a late-night check in. The gentleman checking us in asked us about our trip to the Festival and was... More

Friendly staff. Clean room. Very nice for my one night stay. I would definitely stay again and recommend to a friend. As for the review that had said something about extra charges for other people visiting the room? I did not have this problem at all.

Very basic motel and conveniently located if you're exploring the Columbia river area or need a place to stay for one night before heading to Yosemite. The room we stayed in was very dated and basic. Wifi is complimentary with reservation. AC worked but was loud. Sheets, towels are flimsy. The room was clean enough although the carpet felt dingy... More

My mom, sister & myself travel to Jamestown from Bakersfield on a regular basis as we enjoy the friendly people, casino, shopping & history. This is our first time at Miner's Motel! It was clean, comfortable & the owners Nancy & her husband were more than hospitable!! We would definitely stay there again!!

Ok, well, lets get real, its not like you can find a lot of fancy hotels in the area so I'm giving this hotel a 4 point review based on the following facts: 1. bathroom was spotless (oh so happy when I realized it was so clean) 2. Offers free wifi 3. Right off the main road, can't miss it... More
