Originally I started with the negatives, but I on thinking about the review, I didn't want people to stop reading before they got to the good stuff. So now I'm starting with the best stuff. The staff here is phenomenal. I have never stayed anywhere before where I felt like the staff actually wanted me to be there and wanted me to be happy there. 5+ stars for Amanda at the front desk. 5+ stars for the young woman fixing the breakfast on July 8 (I am sorry I did not get her name). Both super friendly, super efficient, super good at their jobs, and actually cared about their jobs - with your attitudes and work ethics, you could work anywhere and that employer would be lucky to have you. On to the mundane. The rooms were a good size, beds comfortable, the room was clean. There was a good size refrigerator (larger than the normal dorm-size ones in a hotel), a microwave (which is rare to find in a hotel), and a Keurig. It seemed like some things had been updated. The hotel location I found to be super convenient - just off the road, with grocery stores and restaurants nearby. It was somewhat noisy - I think it was more thin doors than thin walls. I could hear people in the hallway, and the room on one side (which had a connecting door that was locked but could be opened and turned into a suite if desired). That's why I think it was more the doors than the walls - didn't hear anything from the room on the other side, and it was occupied. The bathroom had been updated with granite counters and a bathtub surround - the surround was chipped and the tub didn't drain well. No, I didn't bring it up to the management, it wasn't a big deal to me. If it's a big deal to management and/or people considering staying there, I was in room 103. Plenty of parking. I did not use the exercise room or pool, but they looked fine. I only gave 4 stars because of the physical property, but I am a hard sell to give out 5 stars. Would I stay here again - yes, most definitely, but I tried for an honest, useful review. I do most definitely give 5+ stars for the staff!

Worst experience of my life. A friend brought a service dog in my room on Thursday, April 11th and the hotel changed a pet fee of $250 just for the dog and $30 for the dog owner (neither spent the night). I was not aware I would be changed $250 this all in no more than 15 minutes in my room. Had I known I was going to be charged $250 I would never have allowed or signed to allow this to happen. In trying to resolve this issue nicely with Terri, she called me a f'ing fagot and turned to leave my room and told me to go "F" myself and she was going to call the cops to make me leave the room. My mother came to pick me up so I didn't even stay the second night and she wanted to speak with Terri regarding the pet charge but was told Terri went home. In reality Terri was hiding behind the wall listening to all the conversation and refused to speak with my mother directly. Would never recommend this hotel to ANYONE. Terri should be fired for her attitude towards a customer.

Needed a place near Pioneer, CA. This spot is about 15 minutes away and worked out ok. The property is an older version. Furniture, finishes, and overall room was ok. The bed was upgraded and good. In wall hvac system was a little noisy. Breakfast was good. Overall, average stay.

We love to stay here on our way up to Kirkwood. The drive on a Thursday or Friday evening can be tough (driving through south bay) so we typically stop here before we head up to Kirkwood. The breakfast is awesome and the service is good. The rooms are clean but it appears that the first floor allows dogs. So if you are allergic to dogs don't stay on the first floor. We have never used their pool or hot tub but they look welcoming.
