Absolute bare minimum hotel. No coffee in the lobby but I was informed I could get some with breakfast for $12!! Minimally staffed, the only reason to stay here is if you are stuck at John Wayne airport. The shower/ tub combo had a tub 3 feet long, perfect for a toddler. Room was clean, about the only upside.

PRO: Location: Literally across the street from SNA.
Price: Breakfast, parking and wifi were included in the promo rate, so we paid less than we would have at any other hotel right at the airport (less than half what we'd have paid at either Hilton).
Staff: Everyone we interacted with was polite and efficient.
Room: Good sized room, appeared clean, quirky decor but neatly appointed with a side sofa. Nice little balcony with a table and chairs. Comfy bed. Big TV. Seemed quiet.
Pool: Big. Warm.
Fitness Room: Clean. Modern.
CON: Ants. In our second floor room. Not a swarm, but a steady parade around the refrigerator.
Breakfast. Tasty enough, but meager. Muffins (chocolate and cranberry-orange, both quite good), bagels (and cream cheese), yogurt, fresh fruit (apples and oranges) and coffee; tough if you're gluten-free and/or vegan. Maybe there was juice? But that's it. It was included in the room rate for us, so no big deal, but give it a miss if it isn't because you can't take food out of the breakfast room.
Ambient noise. The housekeeping staff literally screamed at each other down the hallways as they were working.
In all, worth what we paid and I would return if the need arose.

Their continental breakfast isn’t as pictured on this site. Very scant items. Cold “hot water” & luke warm coffee full of coffee grounds in containers. Few bakery items old & tasted stale or old. Glass with yogurt & fruits individually wrapped & fruit on top not very fresh. Surely notworth the money charged, should come free with room. Rooms clean & comfortable. Staff pleasant. Don’t ask for complimentary bottled water as you will be charged for at checkout. No airport shuttle. Not very walkable to airport departures from hotel. Fee for parking.

We recently stayed at the Atrium hotel as I needed a place that was convenient for John Wayne Santa Ana airport. Well we hit the jackpot, as there are no hotels closer than this one, and it was easy to just walk across the road and in a few minutes you were there, For the price I was not expecting much but we loved it so much after we returned to Irvine, we checked in 3 times and on one occasion it was for a full week. The rooms were comfortable. The only negative was the fixed shower head. For a woman who doesn't want to get her hair wet, & doesn't want to wear a shower cap, I found it difficult to get a proper shower, unless I washed my hair. The staff were amazing, especially Sylvia of an evening. Also Maria at house keeping , Jen, Manitza & Lourdes, all were so polite & helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. It felt like home from home. The pool area is fab and the sun lounges were really comfortable. The breakfast was not a cooked breakfast but it was sufficient, such as cereals, pastries, croissants, bagels, yogurts, fruit, toasts, etc... and really good coffee & fruit juices. The hotel was excellent value for money, ideally located, extremely clean, and very pleasant. I feel like we found a hidden gem for future visits to Orange County. I would recommend this to anyone. As we were visiting from the U.K. we didn't have a car although there is plenty of parking, but there were restaurants & a convenience store at the garage right next door to the hotel. We are both pensioners but the walk across the street to the airport even with our suitcases was very easy. I can not rate this hotel highly enough as we were made to feel so welcome and valued guests.

Bees and customer service beware! Currently staying here this weekend, Labor Day, due to the heat. I can understand things being different during Covid, I have stayed at multiple hotels this summer to keep my family busy. But this hotel is just unacceptable. First off, the bees! They are all over the pool! By day two, both of my boys were stung by bees and crying. We had told the staff on day one and day two about the bee issue, gave them all natural recommendations on how to deter bees, and were one of many families having issues with the bees but nothing was or has been done. Then there's the fact that there seems to be a shortage of towels at the hotel. I can't seem to ever get enough for my family even when I ask. The pool towels are like kid size towels, they barely a fit a full grown adult. The restaurant is closed, which I get, but there is no room service and housekeeping seems to work very limited hours. The tv remote had dead batteries the first day and the phone is not working at all. When I called (on my cell phone) about the tv and phone, they said I had to go the front with the appliances so they could fix. They also told me that if I want more towels, I have to take the dirty ones to the front in order to get clean ones. You can't have food and drink at the pool yet they didn't even serve anything until late afternoon of day 2, despite the hotel being sold out. Oh and did I mention they still charge a $75 incidental fee even though there is no pool or room service? When you look around at the hotel, you can tell they have tried but unfortunately they have just gotten it all wrong and have a lot of nerve charging full price for a room. Such a waste of a vacation with the family. Will never stay here again.

Dear Allison, We thank you for taking your time to write us your feedback on your stay with us. We are deeply saddened to learn of the bee incident. Due to COVID-19 restraints, we are bound with providing limited services like housekeeping and breakfast. We are sorry that there was a shortage of towels or the towels weren’t the right size. It was a labor day weekend and we had unforeseen bookings. About customer service, we shall look into the matter and make sure a similar scenario does not occur. We deeply regret all the inconveniences caused to you. We wish you and your family well. Please accept our sincere apologies. Sincerely, Atrium Hotel Management

Just stayed at the Atrium for the first time in a years. The stay was simply WONDERFUL! I loved the new facelift of the hotel. The cabanas along the pool have lights and heaters and are so comfortable. Nael, the GM, and his team were so friendly and accommodating. They were flexible with my checkout since I had a late flight. And, my suite was sweet! I loved the retro furniture that reminded of a modern version of my favorite uncle's living room back in the late 60s!
This place feels like home! I live in Wisconsin and I've decided that I need to stay here for a few weeks in February to avoid the midwestern tundra!

Stayed here for a quick trip to So Cal to see a concert. We checked in around 11:30 p.m. and had no issues. Our room was clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We only heard others when they were speaking loudly in the hallway. They did charge for parking and you have to get a ticket from the front desk to get in and out, but once we figured that out, we had no issues. We did want to get a drink at the bar and we were told to go to the Hilton next door.
The hotel pool area was very quiet and we wish we had time to hang out there as it was really nice with the cabanas. This hotel is in a great location across the street from the Orange County airport. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The staff here was very nice and helpful (especially Maritza Ceja). First off, I did not actually stay here. During the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, we had a family tragedy and needed to wash clothes. Our hotel next door did not have laundry facilities so for an entire week we were allowed to use the Atriums facilities. They were more than gracious, they were delightful! and on top of that, the facilities were fabulous. The washers/dryers were huge and the dryers actually dried our clothes in one try. They worked better than our machines at home. I also really loved hanging out on the beautiful grounds! The next time we are staying in the area, the Atrium Hotel is my choice! Thanks to my new friends, Mark and family

Cons: This place is disgusting. The first room had a giant wet spot in the carpet and smelled bad. The second room’s shower tub drained so slowly that the entire time I was in there, the water was up to my calf!! There’s only one garbage can in the entire room. Just one. the room’s phone looks like it’s from 1990, dirt and all. there’s no refrigerator, there’s popcorn ceiling, the furniture is old, the room smells weird and the sliding glass window doesn’t have a lock! Pro: the front desk was nice and quick to change my room. You get what you pay for.

Had a really great experience at the Atrium! Used this hotel for a workshop recently and everything was perfect. All the recent renovations are looking terrific. My sleeping room was fresh and neat, cutely decorated, and equipped with all amenities (big screen TV, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, in-room safe, mini-fridge, and Keurig with cups and pods ready to go). Had a room with a nice balcony, overlooking their beautiful pool area. The event space was wonderful, even an attached outdoor patio, leading down to their pool where we were given space at their cabanas for our guests to relax during breaks. Tracy Newton was the one to assist us from start to finish and we couldn't have asked for better! She was there every step of the way, throughout the planning stages, and was also always at the ready during the course of our 4-day event. We are already planning our next return trip!
