Room number 6 at the end of the registration building had a family room attached with a view of the bay. Lovely to see the sun rise and watch the shorebirds. The facility is older with good attempts to keep it current .(Groehe plumbing). Nice tiles bathroom, clean but some of the furniture could be updated.Very quiet although it was... More

Very peaceful stay at Tomales Bay Resort. Located near Point Reyes Station and great hikes. Beautiful beachfront and excellent service. DJ at the front desk goes above and beyond. June is a great month for visiting - not too crowded but warm weather.

My wife and I stayed here recently to escape the inland heat, and our trip was a success in that regard. This hotel/motel is at a pleasant location on the edge of Tomales Bay, with cool breezes and plenty of fresh ocean air. It is also convenient to the main roads into Point Reyes National Seashore. The facility itself leaves... More

First time visiting Pt Reyes which was Memorial Day weekend. Checked into this great place and so fortunate to stay in room 27 facing the bay. Beautiful weather and great stay. Room was nicely appointed and very clean. Woke up every morning to hear the birds and watch the sunrise. About 5min to Pt Reyes Station and even closer to... More

We stopped here for a night on our way up the coast. This was a good location for proximity to Point Reyes National Seashore where we did lots of hiking and exploring. The room was basic and clean. Provided everything we needed in good working order. It could use some updating and the bed could have been more comfortable but... More

A hidden gem. Our room had amazing views and although it was chilly outside, we got to enjoy the outdoor beauty while all snug and warm. Good shower . A perfect starting point to the charming little towns and the magnificent Point Reyes Seashore.

Hi Virginia, Thank you for staying with us - we agree that we are a hidden gem and only recently added solar panels and electric car chargers so one day we expect we won't be so "hidden". Hope to see you again. More

Nothing special about this place - or at least about the room we stayed in. We had our dog with us so our room was close to the road. We could also hear the guy in the room next to us coughing. Looked like the rooms overlooking the water had more personality.

Hi Nancy, We are glad we had a dog room for you - there are only a few of those available. Non-dog rooms are actually pretty special and have terrific views of the water. You might consider one of those next time. We hope to see you again. More

Stayed one night. This was the only spot I could find without a 2 night minimum on the weekend. Older property that has been spruced up and is right on Tomales Bay (see photo from room). Very close to Point Reyes. If it were located somewhere else it would be pricey but considering where it is and the lack of... More

The Tomales Bay Resort is a nice getaway location in West Marin. We enjoyed our room over the water with a fireplace (Duraflame logs only) that made it cozy at night. It was quiet and not very busy this time of year. The staff was helpful and accommodating with extra requests for blankets and such. We did have to call... More

On Wednesday we reserved a family room for Saturday night - on Thursday my father-in-law had a heart attack in Boston - on Friday morning I called to cancel our reservation explaining why I was taking my wife to the airport and they said no no no: tough luck for you - we have a seven day cancellation policy and... Dear Philip, First off, I hope that your father-in-law is recovering well. I wanted to write you expressing that our front desk staff did offer to change your reservation date within a gracious time frame. After declining changing your travel date, I spoke with you and lowered your charge to a flat $75 cancellation fee which is much lower than... More
