Thoughtful, considerate hosts, impeccably clean, beautiful rooms and facilities located within the strength of a Bishop Pine forest allowed serene energy to surround me.
If you desire privacy, want to read on the deck, or bird-sit with hummingbirds, you’ll find it. If you want information about the area’s recreation, restaurants, art community, or shopping, the Innkeepers are knowledgeable and helpful. Their breakfasts are yummy, and you can pack any leftovers for a lunch/hike. I love this nurturing place!
A three-day stay at Osprey Peak has renewed my spirit.

Nancy and David are polite and attentive, but understand that guests may wish to enjoy the tranquil setting and peaceful atmosphere of their lodgings. For the two nights we were there, they appeared to serve their wonderful breakfasts, offer an afternoon cheese platter and to answer any questions we may have had about the area. However, there was no incessant prying or excessive chatter— it was perfect for two people who are already very quiet!

Nancy bakes the breads and scones offered as breakfast selections, and the scones were wonderful enough to convert my travel partner, who turned up his nose at every scone in Scotland, but declared Nancy's not only edible, but absolutely delicious. The breakfast menu is healthy and filling, without weighing you down if you plan on hiking, swimming or another water activity later in the day.

Speaking of water, the drinking water here was wonderful. In much the same way my partner is suspicious of most scones, I have a very sensitive sense of smell and taste, and most tap water doesn't meet my standards of tastiness without at least one filtering— here, I was surprised to find that not only did I not mind drinking water directly from the faucet, it tasted wonderful!

We had one of the downstairs rooms, which had a private porch, and let in sunlight during the day. In the evening, it was lovely to stand in near silence under masses of stars. Our bed was extremely comfortable... supportive and firm, but also deep and comforting.

My wife and I had the most restorative weekend, as loyal fans of Osprey Peak for many years, we were so happy to return after the pandemic. Nancy and David provide such beautiful care of us from the comfortable rooms, the quality of teas, the food and snacks, the font of information on the local area. The rooms are clean, cozy, great light, and perfume free! Breakfasts are delectable featuring many locally made artisan foods, and the overall beauty of Osprey Peak and Inverness is incrediblepeaceful. Recommend very highly!

We are return guests to Osprey and enjoyed ourselves just as much, if not more, than our previous visits. The B&B is beautifully appointed, cozy and comfortable. We especially enjoy the setting - on a hilltop, quiet and secluded and yet only a few minutes from Tomales Bay, where we enjoying kayaking. The breakfast is fabulous and is an insight into how much our hosts emphasize details - custom breakfasts for each guest, made to our only wants/needs. The food was fresh, perfectly proportioned and served with great care. We find all the "little things" like notes, suggestions, room appointments etc. make this a special place to stay.

Innkeepers are very gracious, the food, drink and setting are outstanding. The location is within 2 or 3 miles of Point Reyes national seashore and a reasonable walk to Tomales Bay. The weather was great. We will be back next year.

My sweetie and I had a most memorable and restorative stay at Osprey Peak. The B&B is peaceful, surrounded by beautiful native forest. The rooms are comfortable and very well appointed. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful, and the hosts offer wine and cheese on the deck late in the afternoon. The hosts are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. A very special place. We will definitely go back!

So nice to find such an inviting place to stay well off any busy roads. If you love the quiet as we do and enjoy a stay away from TV's and other modern day interruptions, you will love this place. There is great light for readers, bed firm and comfortable, and room was spacious and spotlessly clean. I give a shout out to hosts, David and Nancy for their entire presentation which was a perfect 10 in my book. Food and drink for breakfast was healthy, fresh and delicious and there was plenty of variety for our three night stay. The homemade bread was devine. Their added afternoon treat of local wines and cheeses enjoyed out on the deck, overlooking a lovely forest view was so pleasant, we had to experience it twice. Even the information book in our room that covers the area was one of the best we have seen and my husband and I travel a lot. There is so much to explore nearby we spent little time driving around in our car which gave us more time for spending on the the trails in nearby parks. We had such a lovely time we booked our room for another future stay.

We stayed as the Osprey Peak Bed & Breakfast for a short weekend, in between two shelter in places and it was definitely one of the best things I've had to experience this year. The innkeepers are friendly and pleasant to talk to and provide not only an amazingly tranquil place of rest, but also a delicious breakfast. Admittedly, after experiencing three different restaurants in the area, I still think their breakfast was my favorite meal of the day.

After breakfast, you may be able to enjoy a wine and cheese spread, which I found one of my newest favorite cheeses! Whether you choose to relax at the inn, go to one of the beaches, take up a trail, or enjoy the small towns nearby -- there's something for everyone at or around this place. If nothing else, you can watch the hummingbirds in the morning at the property on the commons deck; never seen so many at one time!

Located on an isolated hilltop up a private road, it makes for the perfect setting for a quality, relaxing break from the stress of life. The building architecture is Japanese inspired and the three rooms are nice sized. All around you are trees and views of nature. Although you feel quite isolated you are just minutes from Inverness and Point Reyes Station and many options for hiking, shopping and fine dining. The hosts, David and Nancy, are welcoming and seem to enjoy making sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Nancy is a fabulous local artist and you will be surrounded by her wonderful, Zen-inspired art. David is a font of local information and entertaining stories. We learned that a recent guest had been the great cellist Yoyo Ma. The generous breakfast is beautifully prepared and presented. You choose from many options of local, organic and home baked foods cooked to order that are a delight to the eye as well as the tongue. We will be back.

How far is it to the bay, and is it walkable, especially for those with bad knees?
Answer from NancyByogi

We are located four-tenths of mile from Chicken Ranch Beach on Tomales Bay. So technically we are walkable, but if you have bad knees, I wouldn't suggest it. We are located off the main road and up a fairly steep road and driveway.
