Furniture, appliances, kitchen, baths....everything needs updating. Unit even smelled old. Staff was very friendly. Check-in was good. Unit was very old. Patio size of a postage stamp, and no chairs. Patio looked onto our parked car. Will not stay here ever again
For years, the policy of lodging operators in the Coachella Valley during the two weeks of the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament of only offering non-changeable, non-refundable accommodations has frustrated me. On the second night of our stay the tournament was cancelled due to a corona-virus case in the valley. Conseqiently, we decided to leave early. The Indian Palms Vacation Club Resort management without asking refunded payment for the days we did not stay. I will be back.
I would recommend to find another place to stay until this resort is upgraded. It was a poor exchange resort compared to other places we have stayed. The points used are low but they charge a daily amenity fee.
My stay here was a bit mixed. To begin, the navigation was made very easy. The guests services was very well coordinated with our venue -even down to the shuttle service. It was a bit further than expect but we were well accommodated. The views were spectacular and I could pick oranges from my balcony! Unfortunately the wait staff at the pool was not as friendly as we had hoped and they were very quick to over serve alcoholic beverages. Aside from that the property was just what you’d expect for a relaxing California trip.
Although the service was fine, this place needs major renovations. Plumbing leaks, bathtub worn out, layers of old paint, drawers don't close. Extra $20 charge for parking, pool use, internet, and sort-of activities - services almost always included. No gym available unless you want to go up the golf club and pay. 2 bedrooms share 1 very small bathroom. Definitely bottom of the barrel for RCI condo rentals.
