    I booked the studio suite with King bed, sofa bed, living space with 2 LCD TVs, and the room size on website is shown 640 sqft, but the actual size is 500 sqft that I measured by engineer measurement equipment. And the bad experience was that I paid expensive price for studio suite but mu sister-in-law paid 2 queens bed standard room but somehow she got the suite bigger than mine because she booked directly on this hotel website, and I was treated differently because I booked the suite via Chase Sapphire credit travel... I talked to hotel manager Daisy Cano about why I paid more but get smaller room then the one paid less... She tried to avoid everything I said and just told me if I want the suite, I should pay thousands to get the suite, my room is not the high price to be the big suite... Very unhappy and feeling like I got scam in this hotel...

    Fantastic stay and I wished I could stay for more than one night. Checked in late evening on a moderately packed mid-week night but no lack of service staff from gate to parking to check in... The pool area was well lit and family friendly with a lot of choices for activities, and was closed at the right time(thank god) to avoid bothering guest resting early... Glad we chose this over the Hyatt and will definitely return when visiting Palm Springs area again...

A surprising junior suite upgrade for Gold Elite was always greatly appreciated, but even the other basic king room I stayed in was on the larger side and well decorated... The pool area was well lit and family friendly with a lot of choices for activities, and was closed at the right time(thank god) to avoid bothering guest resting early... Glad we chose this over the Hyatt and will definitely return when visiting Palm Springs area again...

    ...This place was perfect for families with young children. Our kids (ages 2-7) especially loved the little sand/beach area which led into the zero depth pool area... The weather was unseasonably cool for April but the hot tubs were lovely and the water felt warm and comfortable... Food and drink service by the pool was great and we enjoyed breakfast at Cava during our stay... The pool chairs fill up early but we saved some seats right before we ate breakfast (around 9am)... The rooms were well appointed, clean, and spacious... Our two young kids slept on the sofa bed which was surprisingly comfortable (and conveniently, there is extra bedding and a pillow in the closet)... The outlet mall was about a 30 minute drive and the Living Zoo is very close as well... Overall, I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a fun family getaway...

We sat outside every day for breakfast and service was great... The property and grounds are well kept, it was extremely busy with tons of kids for tournament but never saw any lack of service... FREE laundry (2 rooms) one washer/dryer in each... I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone this is a top property in Indian Wells...

    This resort provides a wonderful place for families to get away. Reasonably priced for the area and has lots of amenities... Large pools and plenty of tennis courts, and is conveniently located near the best golf and restaurants of the areas... There are some good food options on-location as well... The rooms are comfortable and fairly large compared to competitors... Many have a nice view overlooking the resort grounds... Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean and functional...

The staff was professional, reasonable, and helpful. Attended the Hawk Talk on Nov 11. The specialist was very knowledgable and passionate about his profession and had a lot of interesting information to offer. He was great; made the stay special. Would only suggest he have a way to amplify the volume of his voice. The pool was relaxing and well kept. Food prices seemed reasonable. Would stay again in the future.

It is a large hotel with excellent beds. It needs an update, the restaurant offer reasonable food with good service, but overprice. We went for breakfast and when we came back at 9.30 a.m. our room was totally dismantled, in spite that several of our items were still there, including a phone cable that the cleaning women was using to plug her phone!

We had a very relaxing time at this hotel! Spent the days either eating at the restaurants or in the pool. The 3ft pool is great for our kids and parents. The kids activities were also fun for everyone in our family. Especially the Hawk Talk. What a nice surprise! The rooms were spacious and clean. Every staff person we interacted with was so kind and helpful and seemed genuinely interested in how our stay was going.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Renaissance for the first time, and it certainly won’t be our last! A few highlights included: 1. Recognized Bonvoy Platinum Elite status. We were thrilled to receive an upgraded room upon arrival. Rooms were clean, updated, and comfortable. Highly recommend rooms with a large balcony if you can snag them. 2. Attentive pool service. The pool is large with plenty of seating with towels and water readily available. The service was also top notch! We enjoyed all food and beverages, especially the frozen drinks. 3. Lovely touches by management. Prior to arrival we received a welcome note from management asking us our time of arrival and if we were celebrating anything. We responded back with our requested check im time while also noting my husband’s birthday. We were thrilled upon arrival when our room was ready with no delay. In addition, we were surprised and delighted to find a birthday note and treat left in our room. It was the perfect touch :) If you are looking at this property- go for it! You will not be disappointed.

This is a nice place. Decor is “old Hollywood” staying in theme with most of the area. It’s a sprawling resort with 2 golf courses. We had a good visit with them. I didn’t give 5 stars because I felt the food and drinks at the hotel were exorbitantly overpriced. Get an Uber or go off site for extra.

Seems to be getting worse by the year. My wife and I come here every September for over 12 years now. We love celebrating our anniversary (35th this year) in the Valley. We used to be able to depend on without even asking some sort of acknowledgment and occasionally even an upgrade each year to celebrate our stay. Well the past several years we've pretty much have had to ask for any kind of congratulations of any sort. We know rooms are only available as they come up so we're alway grateful for any kind of room with pool view and balcony, usually with a little sitting area, when we can get it, but to expect a simple plate of chocolate covered strawberries and maybe a mini-split of bubbly, is that too much to ask for? I guess so! This year, even after calling before hand to try and make it special for my wife, and then asking again at check in if they got my request for whatever can be done. guess what we got??? Yea!!! A room with a pool view and 2 queen beds with a little step out balcony, ok we get it, busy weekend, but sheesh we're still in love not roommates. Couldn't find one accommodating king bedroom? As for any type of refreshment or anniversary treats...my wife actually had to make several inquiries because we were told "oh yes we are bringing you something" that was first on Saturday early evening, but come Sunday, still nothing. She followed up on Sunday and basically my wife was begging and arguing at this point and was wondering if maybe she was misinformed. Finally the person she spoke to just flat out asked what do you want? Ok so maybe you all don't care about recognizing guests celebrating events there anymore, then just say so instead of having some wonderful lady getting into it with some staff member for some treats. Guess what, amazingly less than 30 minute later, but minutes before we're walking out to DINNER, a knock at the door and lo and behold a charcuterie board, some chocolates and a bottle of house champagne, again mind you it's time for us to head out for dinner on the last night of our stay, not the best timing and almost felt like it was thrown together so here now shut up already, which was kind of confirmed because...Upon returning from dinner we have a voicemail saying we want to bring you something to celebrate your stay, but because you said you were going out for dinner, we'll bring it to your room when you return. HAH! it was already brought to our room, now people are falling over themselves trying to do the right thing and can't even get their stories straight what a bunch of amateurs. This was probably the worse service we had since a few years back when the hotel was being remodeled and was totally a disaster and really hasn't come back since, but we are loyal to the Esmeralda, too bad it's feeling less reciprocated each new year. Now not everything was as bad as the front of house, who need to be retrained, or sent to lower end Marriott's but should not be working here. Walked out of Biscotti's as no one ever came out to help us, maybe it's self serve? Ordered Chips & Salsa, we got this so-so quantity of chips, and a little to go container of salsa, like I mean something maybe for one to go taco, and when we asked for more it was like the server didn't know what to do. Next day we said lets try Chicken Nacho's what can go wrong there, order comes and I thought I was at a kids little league game, really? Melted cheese sauce, similar to a liquid goo? C'mon already. As for the positive... The pool staff and bar staff as always is top notch especially our guy Elvade, don't know if I spelled his name right but you have to know who I'm talking about. He's always top notch. Frank at the bar thank you for the cheesecake, totally did that on his own, that's how you do it. Needs to fill some big shoes now that Tony is gone, but he's well on his way. And the Spa and staff was an all around great experience. To close... we are so on the fence about ever coming back. We're Hyatt Club members, and there is this really nice Hyatt property just next door, but we always felt so loyal to the Esmeralda based on all the memories there over the years. I booked the studio suite with King bed, sofa bed, living space with 2 LCD TVs, and the room size on website is shown 640 sqft, but the actual size is 500 sqft that I measured by engineer measurement equipment. And the bad experience was that I paid expensive price for studio suite but mu sister-in-law paid 2 queens bed standard room but somehow she got the suite bigger than mine because she booked directly on this hotel website, and I was treated differently because I booked the suite via Chase Sapphire credit travel. I talked to hotel manager Daisy Cano about why I paid more but get smaller room then the one paid less. She tried to avoid everything I said and just told me if I want the suite, I should pay thousands to get the suite, my room is not the high price to be the big suite. That was what she tried to said. It was really bad experience and customer service. I also used to be Platinum, but now I am at Gold Elite level for Marriott Bonvoy membership but I did get nothing. Is this hotel still in Marriott group? So mistreat! No special services for Marriott Bonvoy memberships. No line or special desks at the lobby for Marriott membership to check in. Loyal customer like me was treated like strangers in here. Very unhappy and feeling like I got scam in this hotel. Never be back here again.

This resort was so much fun! The staff were so Friendly & accommodating. The resort was huge & the pool was the best thing. So refreshing & needed to beat that desert heat. My 4 year old had so much fun at the pool. We went everyday we were there. The poolside bar had great drinks & food. The pool was so clean & really huge. Lots of pretty sights to see & sit & relax in. The Cava breakfast buffet was really good . Its a Must see!
