We booked a new rustic suite for a Sunday-Wed stay in mid-July and were happy with it. These were in cabin 21, which was toward the back and had a nice, wooded view from the deck. We couldn't try the fire place (and didn't really want to given how warm the weather was), so we cannot comment on that, but... More

4.0 star rating 6/13/2016 1 check-in Just spent the weekend with husband at one of the themed rooms, Camp. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised with how clean it was, bed could be better (little too soft for us) but we got a king and it was great. Toilet and sink in the bathroom are a bit too high,... The cabins here are rustic but clean and most importantly, very centrally located! There is even a market across the street in case you forget anything. We loved that we could bring our pup along too. We liked the complimentary bundle of firewood. Linens and bedding are provided as well as soap but nothing else so don't forget to bring... More

The Idyllwild Inn is one of the oldest and coolest establishments "on the hill" in Idyllwild, CA. My wife and I have spent a week around New Year's Eve there for over 20 years ... save for the year 2000 when we stayed home to witness the End Times ... big disappointment that! We've also stayed up here a number... More

This was the first place I called in Idyllwild and I am soo happy I did ... Everyone at Idyllwild Inn was very pleasant and we reserved the "theme room" Indian and this room was very cozy and very clean and the Inn was centered in the middle of several restaurants and bars and walking distance to everywhere.... Awesome place... More

If you are looking for luxurious, upscale accommodations this place is not for you. If you are fine with rustic, clean, cozy and quiet at an affordable price you will be fine at the Idyllwild Inn. We stayed in a "themed room" not a cabin and found it quite acceptable. The bed was comfy and the fireplace was very nice.... More

We scouted round Idyllwild looking at cottages and ended up at the Idyllwild Inn as it was well appointed and within walking distance of all the cafes and shops of the resort. The cabin is rustic but well appointed with a full kitchen and a comfortable living rooms. The heating works really well which was needed as it was cold at... More

We truly love this place! Our traditional Thanksgiving weekend getaway in Idyllwild centers at this wonderful gem in the center of Idyllwild. For the last nine years, we make the trip up the mountain to enjoy the sights and sounds of the surrounding community. This year we added Saint Valentine's Day weekend as well. The themed rooms are all wonderfully... More

Just got back from staying at Idyllwild Inn. If I understand their categories correctly, it must be one of their new rustic suites. Not sure, it was #18. It was my husband and I plus our three young kids. It was pretty much perfect. Very clean, well stocked, comfortable bed in the bedroom, and great shower head. They start you... More

Lovely quiet weekend getaway, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Inn was very quaint and comfortable. Fireplace in room was charming. Right outside our door we could stroll to Higher Grounds coffee shop, Idyll Awhile Wine Store, and the Gnome. Breakfast every morning at the Red Kettle was fantastic!
