Attended the hotel's annual brunch and it was wonderful. It is held in the ballroom and there was every kind of food imaginable. The hotel is beautiful and in a wonderful location across from the ocean. The staff is wonderful. We did not stay overnight.
My three teens and I just finished a stay at the Waterfront Beach Resort. While hotels are being impacted by the pandemic all across the country, this hotel has worked hard to work around those issues. Everything was fantastic - no restaurant issues, the pool was staffed well with servers, and everything was operating as it should be. And the location cannot be beat. There is so much nearby - food, shops, and a wonderful beach. Highly recommend it and cannot wait to go back. My kids really loved it too.
We were at the hotel for a somber occasion, but the the entire staff, from valets, servers, front desk to the general manager respected our grief and went out of their way to make our stay peaceful and memorable. I cannot express how appreciative we all were for the kindness shown during our stay. We have stayed at numerous Hilton properties and this was by far the finest accommodations, restaurants, cleanliness, etc.
We spent 3 nights in Huntington Beach leading up to a Disneyland experience to celebrate my daughter's 8th birthday. I'm so glad we decided to book the Waterfront. There are lots of choices in this area and the Waterfront did not disappoint! The location is excellent - an easy and quick walk across the street to the beach, a few minutes walk to a great outdoor mall (Pacific City), and only 10 minutes or so walk to the Pier and Main Street. We took advantage of most of what the hotel had to offer - our girls loved the Driftwood Pool with waterslides and my oldest was able to get a training session in (she's a competitive swimmer) at the Huntington Pool. We loved popping in early each morning at Surf Hero (Tina is wonderful!) for coffee, hot chocolate and snacks, and after-dinner wine each night at Henry's. Renting bikes from the hotel was also fun and the discount as part of the resort fees appreciated. The staff at the Waterfront is warm, genuine and made my daughter feel very special on her birthday! The property is gorgeous. We were lucky to have been there while they decorated for the holiday season, The rooms are stylish, modern, comfortable and the views breathtaking. We stayed in the Huntington Tower on the 5th floor and loved sitting out on the balcony watching the sunrise, and also watching the sunset in front of the fire from Surf Hero's patio. Thank you Waterfront for making our vacation so special - we will be back!…
My wife and I stayed in a partial oceanview room for 2 nights, and had a simply phenomenal experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, room furnishings were modern and sleek, and every staff member we interacted with was absolutely fantastic. I spoke with a gentleman at the front desk - I can't remember his name for the life of me, but he mentioned he used to work in the pool area before moving to the front desk. I was extremely impressed with his customer service. The housekeepers we interacted with were fantastically polite, and accommodating when we asked for an extra blanket. After working in the hospitality industry for 15+ years, I can truly say this hotel has put together a phenomenal staff, who provide a fantastic guest experience.
This hotel is as basic as they come. The grounds are worn, housekeeping is by request only and toiletries are not provided. No shower gel, you only get a wall mounted shampoo, conditioner and lotion nothing else. Disappointing dirty dump in need of serious rejuvenation by experts in hospitality business. Not even up to any hotel standards.
We left our stay feeling like we were put a room that never should be in use for guests. The room was as dilapidated as any hotel room I've ever stayed in. We documented the various issues, which are listed below. - Sofa cushions were worn out – you literally hit the fold-out bed frame when you sat down. Also, the fabric was very worn. - Sofa bed was completely unusable. Mattress was completely shot, which caused us to have to change our plans. - Two of the four faucets were leaking. Plus, the toilet had to be finagled to keep it from running. - Paint was badly chipped around sliding door. - Fabric on balcony chair coming un-sewn - Sliding plantation blinds on balcony door blocked the locking mechanism so the door was nearly inoperable when blinds were opened - Paint badly chipped and then badly painted over around entry door - The finish on the kitchenette cabinets was badly chipped. Hinges were loose, making doors nearly inoperable. You'd have to reposition the doors to get them to close properly. - Edges of desk had the finish chipped off. - End table by sofa had the finish chipping off - Insufficient electrical outlets - No microwave - No full length mirror If aesthetics are important to a guest, which they are to us: - None of the finishes on the furniture match and were of different vintages (desk, end table, dresser, all different-colored finishes) - Art is dated, doesn’t color coordinate, and is badly hung (off center and crooked) - Everything closes at 10, so if you're there In the end, it felt like a pretty bad highway motel, not something labeled a resort. That level of property neglect and willingness to subject a guest to a room literally falling apart will make me reconsider ever staying at a Hilton property again. When I wrote the hotel, I was asked if I had complained to anyone because they had remodeled rooms they could have moved us to! This was utterly maddening to know they had nice rooms, but they put is in the awful one and we needed to complain to get a nice one. Dumfounding. The only reason for a '2' instead of a '1' is you can walk to the beach.…
No matter how beautiful a Resort is if the first person you encountered does not have the right attitude on how to treat a guest well, it deeply affects and changes your perception of the place. The front desk staff here needs serious training on customer service. Although the manager had reached out to make our experience better and I deeply appreciates her for doing that. Beware of any upgrades offered. Make sure that if you initially booked at the Twin Dolphin Tower, which is the newer tower, upgrade offered must be in the same tower especially if paying upgrade fees. Important points were not not made very clear by the front desk staff. He gave us a so-called upgrade with additional fees but he did not say that it will be at the old tower. The old tower has this musty smell and old furniture. How can that be considered an upgrade? When I changed my mind and decided to just keep my original booking, this lady from the front desk was not very happy about it and she just blatantly exposes her unfriendly demeanor. Very disappointing experience at a hotel that claimed to be 4-star. Advice to the manager: Please tell your front desk staff to never underestimate your guest. Treat all your guests fairly! Be honest and transparent when offering upgrades and being warm and pleasant should always be the nature of a front desk staff! We read reviews and we do research before deciding where to stay especially if paying almost $600/ night. We expect better service! …
Great location in the heart of Huntington Beach, beautiful view to the ocean, everyone’s very friendly my special thank to Mr Daniel for Housekeeing, great Director, always very enthusiastic and ready to make dreams came true. F.Beverages food excelent, any restaurant : boardwalk, dock bard or Surf hero,. Definitely I be back. Thanks.
I stayed with my firm at its expense, after providing my Hilton Honors number. Although I am a diamond level member, the property refused to pay me any points for the substantial cost of the room. I have stayed at the Paséa and a Hyatt and found them to be much better properties. The layout of the Waterfront and the decor were not as nice as what I found at those neighboring hotels. I would not stay here again if it were my call.
