Hotel's Favorite
There is something extraordinary about the Waterfront! Service is excellent. Stayed 3 nights in a 1 bedroom suite in twin towers. View was gorgeous. Suite was brand new and clean. Our room had coffee maker, fridge, large balcony, and gorgeous bathroom. Our daughter never wanted to leave the water slide and pool! The coffee shop was a daily stop for us. Great coffee and gifts. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Huntington Beach!

This hotel is a great place to go. Excellent views, walking distance to everything! The pools (both) are excellent! This is a great place for families as well. Big pool with water slide. I also enjoyed the adult pool. Good service and views of the ocean. We especially LOVED the rooftop bar! Fantastic views, great service and delicious cocktails and food. I just wish they could open that place up earlier in the days while we were there. there were alot of weddings going on while we were there so it must be a great place for weddings as well......................

We booked this hotel for our family because: 1) it has 2 great pools, 1 that's very kid friendly and a 2nd smaller pool that was heated; 2) it's in a great location across from the beach and near shops and restaurants; and 3)it's nice and priced very well given the amenities. See the details below. The negative reviews and criticism about COVID-19 policies aren't wrong. We chose to stay during the week so we could avoid large weekend crowds of people who probably won't wear masks or social distance. The hotel was not strict about enforcing their COVID-19 policies on guests. Lots of guests were walking the hotel without masks every day. No social distancing practices at the pool from what I could see. And most guests didn't seem to care. Thankfully, we weren't bothered by this because the hotel wasn't busy during the week so we didn't have many people to social distance from. But if you go during the weekend, I'm afraid the negative reviews are probably accurate. If a hotel wants to enforce these policies, as lame and obvious as it sounds, they need to have staff on hand enforcing the policies. Posting signs around the hotel wasn't super effective on its own. Putting the COVID stuff aside, there's still a lot of great stuff to report at this hotel: -The Twin Dolphin suite was excellent. I left thinking every hotel should offer a suite like that. It was very nice, spacious, modern, updated, and absolutely perfect for a family. Having a separate bedroom w/ 2 queens and a TV; a separate spacious bathroom w/ 2 sinks and water closet; and separate living room w/ a sectional, TV, and desk gave our family plenty of space to relax and enjoy our 4 day stay. -The hotel offers room service and that was a great amenity and a nice luxury. The food was good - we ordered breakfast (for 4) one day and lunch another and the 10 different things we ordered were great, including the kids food. And best of all, the room service was delivered incredibly fast. We ordered breakfast one day and without exaggeration, the food was delivered hot to our door in about 15 minutes. It was so fast, we weren't even ready to receive it. The second time the food took about 20-30 minutes, which was still very fast in my experience. And the prices were reasonable. Huge kudos to their kitchen and staff. -Pools were ok. Slides were closed and that was understandable. But it seemed like the large family pool was not heated and it was very cold. It didn't stop us from swimming, but it was noticeably and uncomfortably cold. The 2nd pool, which no one seems to notice, was heated and comfortably warm even in the evening. This might seem like an insignificant point, but we live in another, warmer, So Cal beach town and Huntington can be 79/80 but feel like 70 degrees and when it feels 70 and you jump in a freezing pool, it's not ideal. One negative: -The room had some dust in a couple of areas around the desk and tv and there were some clear craft beads on the carpet presumably from a prior guest. Initially, we were very off-put. However, I had house-keeping come vacuum and they did a very thorough job as I watched, and they still weren't able to get all of the beads. I suspect the beads were too large or something. So I gave them a pass on the beads, but there shouldn't be dust in common areas especially not during COVID where you put a seal on the rooms asserting they've been thoroughly cleaned. So I deducted a bubble for that. But the room was otherwise very clean and then linens and furniture were clean and in good condition. Overall, we'd stay again. We loved our stay, and the room and room service made it the perfect choice. I closely reviewed the other hotels in the area, and despite the COVID issues, we'd stay here again without question, but be cautious on weekends.
