Stopped for lunch. There is extensive deck and jetty seating which looked very appealing but we were warned by the hostess that wasps were very active some took an inside window seat which was still spectacular. Excellent choices on the lunch menu with a reasonable range of pricing. Good draught beer selection and decent wine by the glass selection. Tables... More

We come to the West Shore Inn once a year for a getaway. We have always stayed in the Marlette Peak Suite, but this time we were given the Mt. Watson Suite. Both suites have beautiful views, 2 balconies and 2 fireplaces. Marlette has a larger sitting area and smaller bedroom, and Watson have a smaller sitting area and larger... More

Everything about this place is great: The deck seating for lunch, the indoor dinner seating with a lake view and the food is absolutely terrific! It was recommended by a friend who is a local and I have to say being a foodie I was 100% pleased with all of our selections, drinks and very caring but "not in your... More

We have a second home here; so it is really wonderful to be able to enjoy this fabulous place for every beautiful season at the Lake. Great food, excellent service and the most sublime atmosphere! If you are not a local, stay in one of the spacious rooms. Rent a boat in the summer or walk across the street in... More

We , our nuclear family, occupied 3 of the 5 suites There were 10 of us, 6 adults and 4 children. We stayed for 3 nights in late June. The suites are large and well appointed. The Inn is directly on the lake so the views are awesome. It's probably among the most expensive properties on that side of the... More

We have been going to this Restaurant for years and everything was always great, food and service. Today we went there and we could not believe how bad the service and food was. After the hostess assigned us a table we waited approximately 15 minutes and nobody came over to ask us what we wanted. My wife finally asked the... More

We stayed in the Mt. Watson suite - pictures do not do this property justice. It was a perfect setting to travel with family and enjoy a relaxing lakefront/ski-in-ski-out experience at Homewood. Staff was exceptional and at every turn made my family feel special and well-cared for. I highly recommend staying here.

I enjoyed the beautifully appointed rustic rooms. The friendly and attentive staff made our visit very enjoyable. The plated food served at the reception was marvelous...the halibut was my favorite! I can't wait to visit again....

The location is wonderful, Lake Tahoe is breath-taking and the rustc / elegant Inn completes the frame. The rooms, though few, are well appointed, some with exceptional views. Cocktails on the deck are well executed and there is plenty of room for group or intimate conversation. The menu is somewhat eclectic and would benefit from expansion and diversity.

The location and views are absolutely spectacular. The inn is beautiful. The rooms comfortable. And the staff, for the most part friendly and competent: but one can't help feeling that there is no human there there. No presence of someone who cares and is in charge. So even though there is a restaurant with a full elaborate kitchen downstairs, and... More
