Special wedding at this stunning location. Intimate ceremony in the grassy area with amazing view of the lake. The pier lit up at sunset. Perfect setting to celebrate. The staff was great and the food was wonderful. We chose the Braised short rib on polenta. Outstanding! Unforgettable night with the blessed couple. We were told this was one of the few last weddings at this venue. So glad we got to experience all it has to offer.
We got there when they opened and got a great table with an amazing view! My wife had the short ribs and of course I had the elk. It melted in my mouth! Perfectly cooked! It was a wonderful romantic evening with great service. We couldn’t recommend them enough!
Everything about WSC is awesome! All the people that work there going above and beyond. I definitely recommend anyone looking to get married to check it out. It is way better then all the other places around. You won't find anything like it. Hyatt and the others do not look this nice. I had to reschedule my wedding due to covid and everything went smoothly and I am very happy we chose WSC over Hawaii. The food is really good. Kurt, Mitch and everyone that worked my wedding did an awesome job!
***DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER THE PANDEMIC.*** This is a small business that does not care at all about their couples getting married and truly are greedy for every penny. This venue has claimed their impossibility to perform (force majeure) because of COVID-19. We have rescheduled 2x and finally have decided to throw in the towel as the soonest we could reset is June 2021 and that just won't work for us. What seems fair, is both parties would go separate ways and we'd get a refund. No... instead this venue makes up its own rules and wants to keep $2500 because of their own "admin fees." Everyone knows this small business got a PPP loan to stay affloat during these difficult times, we are individuals who did not nor do we have insurance but yet we're responsible for their "admin fees." My best word of advice for anyone looking to get married in Tahoe is go to Hyatt or Squaw Valley since they are a bigger company and are willing to actually work with their clients rather than disrespect them and lie to them. Or book a private house so you can have your wedding. This is a venue that wants to lose nothing at whatever cost. What a shame for the hard working people who work there and don't realize how dirty their business dealings are…
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the inn for an anniversary celebration. I made last minute reservations and I was able to get the last room available which was not on the water side but the location of the inn/cafe is wonderful! Dinner on the pier was our first restaurant dining experience since March — and it was excellent! Great service, cocktails and food. We enjoyed every minute while soaking up the beautiful scenery. The inn and cafe did a nice job with Covid challenges. We would recommend and we look forward to returning. It was our first visit to the Tahoe area.
Homewood is in on the western better part of Lake Tahoe and approx. 12 minutes from Emerald Bay. And for all your Godfather fans a few blocks down from the godfather 2 movie house lot. We stayed in the Marlette Suite and it is probably the best (2) room suite facing Lake Tahoe on the waterfront. It has a kingsize bed , fireplace, TV, balcony, and full bathroom in one room. The other one has a sofa that unfolds with full bathroom, giant TV, balcony, and two chairs that face a giant window that you can see the whole lake, pier, and boats nearby. The rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. The front desk was very helpful printing up driving directions, showing us the room, getting room ready for us quickly, and breakfast was served to us on time. The restaurant below our room has very good food, but is expensive even at lunch ($50.00) for hamburger, coke, and one order of a calamari appetizer. We didn't rent a boat, but you can right there on the pier through a company next door to the inn. In addition, this inn does a lot of weddings also and I would highly recommend it for a romantic get way for a couple. The price per night is 600.00, which may seem high to some, but you get what you pay for and it is worth is for a special few nights. Now, I will comment on what they need to improve: 1st change toilet seats they are old and look horrible when you have everything else perfect in room. Another comment would be to have a different shower head because it had hardly any water coming out, and most people like a good flow . Next, since you have a rocky beach, you could install a small area (8x20)of sand and a few chairs for guests to sit in right by the water, because right now there is no such place ...just medium size rocks. Lastly, a lunch menu with varied items under $16.00, instead of hamburger for 22.00. Just my opinion, but I know other guests have commented on this and it would lead to a 10/10.…
Beautiful setting, we sat on the deck overlooking the lake and boat docks. Very picturesque, only negative was there were some hornets(yellow jackets) swarming. They get active in August but we switched some seats and that seem to help. We had fish tacos, chicken salad and the seafood salad. Fish tacos were made with halibut and were very good. Salads were good but not outstanding. Overall very nice lunch considering the setting and service. Would definitely recommend.
We found this place by chance when driving around Lake Tahoe. What a great place. Delicious food, great service and a view to die for sitting on the pier. They offer water taxi for boaters. Great to watch from the pier. Can’t wait to go back.
Stayed in the Sugar Pine Pointe Suite for two nights for my best friend's wedding. This room was AMAZING. It had a separate bedroom with slight water views and private bathroom with a lounge with beach/pier views and another private bathroom. Not only was the venue perfect for a wedding, the service amenities and accommodations were spot on as well. I gave my room to the groomsmen to get ready the day of because it was so spacious and they loved it. It was the perfect size for them to get together in and get ready.
This is a great restaurant for outdoor dining on lake Tahoe. the pier is lighted and the ambience lovely. New chef and great menu. Indoor cozy in the winter. Service was attentive but no rushing and good information on the food choices.
