Stayed here for five night while visiting an elderly uncle living in Hollister who I had not seen in 62 years. There is a diner across the street and a Taco Bell a short walk to the right. Maybe the Taco Bell is the better choice. I found the parking area to be safe and very well lit at night. Pool looked inviting and appears to be well kept. My bathroom basin had no top up stopper so I had to be careful not to drop anything as it would go right down the drain. A/C very adequate. Room service every day.
Checking in was pleasant. Entered the room and when leaving noticed the door very loose at the latch. Upon close inspection noticed the door had been broken in previously and the latch loose and installed backwards so a credit card could pop the door. Went to the office and explained my concern about the problem with the lock. Would they please come down and at least look at the door to confirm my concerns. Asked for a different room but told none available. Said I would be staying if I couldn't find other accomodations and left for my room. As I entered my room I was met by the office clerk and another lady who informed me I had to leave. They entered my room and told me to get out that this was not the place for me. They wouldn't even look at the door mechanism. Amazing way to treat a guest who had already paid for the room. When security is an issue and they won't even take a look, what is wrong with those people. Stay someplace else.…
The Cinderella Motel was a nice surprise on our trip. Each room has a theme, mine was "The Jungle". Tropical figurines, lush greens and browns, colorful macaw paintings, and rattan furniture. It was very clean and quite. The price was very reasonable.
We had a dog show event that we were attending near this motel. My friend and I made reservations by phone prior to our arrival. Since we had four dogs, we wanted to make sure that the front office lady understood, that we were going to have four dogs in the room with us. She assured us it was no problem. Once checked in, we were told that the dogs must stay off the beds. Our dogs just spent seven hours in crates, in the van, traveling to Hollister! Now they have to stay in crates all night also! When asked why, we were told because they would leave hair on the bed linen. (Um, shouldn’t the linen be washed between customer stays? Her answer told us that washing is only done as needed). To keep this short, we had zero soap in the bathroom and one washcloth to last two people Friday through Monday. We had zero “free WiFi”, all outlets broken/non working except one. One that the bed was pushed up against had no cover and exposed wires. Cable TV kepted going out. All calls to the front office went unanswered, and each time we went to the front office, the door was locked.…
My wife and I attempted to check in at this motel after long drive from southern California on our way home to Seattle. Asked the woman at the desk if we could see the room. She said this was impossible. I said, thats too bad and suddenly the woman became irritated and rude for some reason. I can't explain her bizarre behavior and left the office immediately and checked in next door at the Hollister Inn for same price which was very nice and recommended. After this experience I had to look at other reviews and I feel better we were not the only ones treated this strangely. Avoid this place.
