This is a wonderful hotel and one of the best beachfront properties in LA area. The only thing keeping it from a 5star rating is NO POOL. free continental breakfast, plenty of restaurants close, right on the strand beach and volleyball courts close. The hotel has been remodeled and everything is nice and spacious. Crank that fireplace up in every room!

We just returned home from our vacation at Hermosa Beach. I am so glad I chose Beach House Hermosa for our hotel! We loved everything about our stay. The room and the cleanliness of the room and the entire hotel was a huge plus. We chose an ocean front room on the third floor as this was a retirement celebration for me and a friend so splurged a bit. The friendliness of the entire team was superb. We were greeted each time we entered or left the hotel, and whenever we passed any employee. The front desk staff is to be commended for showing genuine interest in us. Plus that valet team - Wow! They took care of us for our car, beach chairs and towels and were always so kind. I told my husband this evening that the team at Beach House Hotel is truly a team and their service is equal to a finely trained Ritz hotel team, but on a more casual natural manner. Kudos to all! We will return to this hotel on the beach and on The Strand for any future visits to Hermosa Beach.…

The Hermosa Beach House does an exceptional job ticking all the boxes. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Location is ideal. The breakfast is fine (if you’re looking for super special breakfast included where you’re staying, go for a B&B). The Gym is also small but sufficient for weights and cardio equipment (just gotta wait your turn sometimes). If you plan on staying in the area, strongly recommend this place. We will be back!

A very uneven experience during our week stay here, makes this a bit challenging to review. On the one hand the rooms are well designed and reasonably well appointed yet the hotel has several rooms that because of their location and design of the facility are to be avoided. Rooms in back, i.e. rooms 131 and 132 afford next to no view of the beach and water and indeed feel like the end of the world as one walks the long, modestly lit corridor. Pricing of the rooms do not reflect these conditions. On the plus side the cleaning staff, day front desk staff , and round the clock door staff are first rate. Pleasant, capable, and very helpful are the terms we would use to describe them. On the other hand a request to the night staff for an early wake up for our final night was acknowledged but never made. When asked about check out, night staff said simply swing by the front desk and tell them. Checking out at 3:30 AM after not having received a wake up call, we found no one at the front desk or in the lobby. A couple of "Hello, anyone here?" went unanswered so we proceeded to the airport and returned home where we received an email from Beach House to review our stay.....here it is. A week stay, out of season, in room 132 for 3.5k out of season.......not a good thing. …

We offer several different view types and room categories throughout the hotel-Premium Ocean Front 2nd & 3rd floor, 1st floor Strand Ocean Front, Ocean View, Partial View and Standard Room types. While I am happy you felt our cleaning and AM Front Desk staff were friendly and helpful, I am disappointed our Graveyard person missed your wake-up call and was not present at your departure. My family and I stayed here in room 210 for two nights in February 2023. We continue to return to this hotel and have never been disappointed. Rating: 9/10 Positives: • Incredible location and good value: just north of the pier on the Strand • The hotel is kept up impeccably, a feat made all the more impressive by its proximity to the salt water and the sand • Comfortable bed with a handy sleeper sofa for children • Cozy fireplace + kitchenette + spacious balcony • Very friendly staff and valet Negatives: • The room size is a bit tight for a family with two small children

We have stayed at the Beach House in Hermosa many times and every visit has been fabulous! You can't beat the location or the luxury; right off the strand with perfect views of the ocean and the pier, and beautiful rooms stocked with luxury L'Occitane products, comfortable beds, fireplaces and decks. Everyone from the valet's (love Javier) to the housekeepers and front desk staff are so kind and helpful. With restaurants, bars and shopping within footsteps of the hotel, the Beach House will always be our favorite South Bay hideaway!

Although the hotel is not inexpensive, it offers value. The staff is first rate, from the amazing valet team to the reception that always greets the guests to housekeeping that keys the rooms fresh and clean. Breakfast is very good and appreciated. Hard boiled eggs would be a welcome addition. We try to stay here every time we visit Hermosa.

We loved our stay at the Beach House Hermosa. Service was friendly and top-notch. Valet team was always on hand to open doors to our cars and assist with luggage. The front desk accommodated an early check-in which we were grateful for. Our Partial View Suite was located on the ground floor on the 14th Street side. Roomy bedroom and living room space that was impeccably clean and up-to-date. Our room had a comfortable king-size bed, soft fluffy towels, good water pressure, and many useful amenities (i.e., plenty of outlets, L'Occitane toiletries, a safe, fridge, dishware, etc.) Beach House's continental breakfast is a nice start to your day, and they give you a tray to bring it back to your room. We appreciated the quiet space for us to unwind and rest. This location is near the Strand, beach, piers, restaurants, and shops. Beach Market (a convenience store) and Starbucks are half a block away. Our favorite restaurant for dinner was Baran's 2239 (quick Uber ride), and we also really liked Good Stuff for lunch and Martha's Corner for breakfast. We will be back! …

We only stayed here for a night to treat ourselves to some beach time ahead of a work meeting in LA and loved it. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, granting us an early check-in and late checkout. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, even a microwave, fridge and small stove. The bed was super comfy, the desk practical and the wifi worked perfectly. They have Occitane cosmetics which added an extra touch and we had a really nice oval bathtub as well. Breakfast is included and they offer a nice spread as well. You’re right at the beach, there’s a bike rental just outside the hotel and plenty of restaurants - our favorite was Zane’s, we went there two nights in a row. We had a terrible time at this Beach House Hotel in Hermosa Beach. They were never able to fix our water temperature. We took cold showers all the time :( The manager was very nice but she kept sending the technician over and over again to our room, but we never had hot water. We were very disappointed !
