Spent one night at this charming B&B. Super clean, beautifully furnished, lovely gardens and served a delicious full breakfast in the morning. Our room had an outside private seating area. It was hot but the AC took care of that! The views and the sunset were fabulous. Rita and the employees were friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend!!!
Stayed here on a recent wine trip to Sonoma. First let me say the the Inn is in a beautiful location nestled within the wineries of Sonoma. Actually looks across a huge vineyard. We stayed here in June and we were not able to eat in the dining room which kind of limited the eating with other hotel guests, the rooms were not cleaned during our stay we were told this was Covid related. Not sure you can get Covid cleaning an empty room. Many folks spoke about meeting the owners, did not happen during our stay. One of the owners had wine with us one evening for 10 mins or so but that’s about all of our interaction with the owners. There were two women who were there during the evening wine tasting Mary and Ally who were pleasant and offered good tips on dining. I will say this was our first bnb experience but our friends who visit bnb’s regularly agreed rooms were tired and in need of updating.…
I am writing my review on the next to the last day here, as I sit on the property porch overlooking vineyards. The sun is shining, the sky is blue, the hummingbirds are at their feeder, and the breeze is soft as silk. The Rayford Inn was our base for exploring Sonoma valley for several days and for this, it was perfect. We tasted wine, hiked in the Armstrong Redwood State Park, explored the Sonoma Coast State Park, and spent a day doing touristy things in San Francisco (including Muir Woods, which is a must). The breakfast was tasty and filling, as advertised, and the coffee was on the porch at 8 am. We needed a snack in the later afternoon to make it to dinner. The room was cute but small; I must admit that I have been spoiled by all the space you get when you go with VRBO or AirBnB. The afternoon wine was a nice touch but you have to ask for the cheese board, as it’s not otherwise served. The owners are maintaining COVID policies, so I strongly recommend that you ask about them, as they were not apparent from the website.…
The Radford Inn ticks all the boxes for the model Bed and Breakfast for Sonoma county. Being outside the city a ways only adds to the intimacy of this lovely spot. We spent three nights in the spacious Blueberry room and were there to celebrate our 50th Wedding anniversary. We couldn't have stayed in a better place. Rita the owner, is a most gracious hostess and makes sure that you are comfortable. The only surprise was that there is no TV, but once we were there, we enjoyed the place so much, it didn't matter. The Radford Inn definitely earned my five star rating.
This is a historical landmark. Over 100 yr old Inn that is in amazing condition. Our Blueberry room was spacious clean and full of charm! The sunset with the hummingbirds and wine made it the perfect spot to wrap up the day. We walked the grounds with lovely gardens and secret pathways! Conveniently located to wineries too! We will return as there were all the comforts of home here.
Happy to add 5-star review! We'd seen many online, so glad we experienced too...Beautiful historic property & grounds! Rita very gracious upon arrival, (helpful during stay too.) Wonderful Sage room; wine/snacks late afternoons, Fantastic breakfasts on expansive front porch overlooking beautiful vineyards. Great location. Among unique touches: room key locks as part of mobile #, darker washcloth for make up removal (great idea!) Met interesting guests. Charming all-round!
This is truly a beautiful property in a beautiful location! We spent three nights for our 30th anniversary and we didn't want to leave! Rita and Dane are fantastic hosts, the Sage room was huge and incredibly comfortable and the breakfasts were fantastic, at a little corner table on a huge front porch overlooking a view of the vineyards with hummingbirds flitting everywhere! A step back in time that made the whole Sonoma trip better!
Dane and Rita were amazing hosts. When we first arrived, we were dealing with having been robbed in San Francisco. However, Dane and Rita's warm welcome really made us move past our small misfortune. The Inn is gorgeous, and near to many restaurants and vineyards. Breakfast was truly amazing, especially with eating in the front porch overlooking the land. Dane's Wine Tour was very interesting, and he is extremely knowledgable on wine-making and horticulture. We also loved the daily wine and snacks on the front porch, while watching the sunset and mingling with other guests. The Angelica Room was spacious, had a huge bed with a lot of storage, and a big fireplace.
Rita and Dane are the most wonderful hosts and the Raford Inn is the most beautiful and charming property in all of Sonoma county. We enjoyed our stayed in the Lavender room very much. Eating breakfast on the patio overlooking the vineyard is truly special. Be sure to take a tour of the property with Dane and learn all about the wine-making process! Can't wait to come back soon
My husband and I had the pleasure of spending the night at the Raford Inn this weekend, and it was amazing. We were greeted by Dane and Rita and these two are truly perfect as hosts of the Raford Inn. They immediately make you feel like family with their warm welcome. We were able to enjoy the wine reception in the evening and Dane and Rita were kind enough to take time out of there busy schedules to sit and chat for awhile. The rooms make you feel as though you have been transported back in time adding the the beauty of the inn. In the morning we were treated to a fabulous breakfast on the porch overlooking a view worth a million dollars. Then we took the 1 1/2 tour with Dane throughout the facility to hear about the Inn and his personal hobby (wine making). Our only regret is that we didn't ask for a bottle of his wine for our collection, it was very tasty. (be sure to put this tour on your list of things to do). What a wonderful experience this was and we hope to be back for harvest so we can sing show tunes to the vines!…
