We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is right on the plaza, walking distance to all the sights of downtown Healdsburg. We had a small but charming room. The best part of this hotel were the people. We were given wonderful suggestions of where to go, in exploring Sonoma county. We also loved the wine tastings each night, where a representative from a different winery would share their wines. A nice breakfast each morning was included in the price. There is no parking lot on the premises but we had no problem finding nearby parking each night. Overall, an enjoyable stay.
Dreary, drab room. A dated bathroom with no place to put your things. Located near the kitchen ensuring you can smell the onions or whatever they were cooking for the “free” breakfast. The worst aspect was the nearby machine that ran all night, ensuring that once you fell asleep, you were awakened shortly thereafter. We spent $400 for this dreadful experience. The rest of the poor reviews are highly accurate and the photos provided by management are misleading.
Stayed two nights in Healdsburg at the Inn - location was perfect for accessing this lovely city's restaurants and shops as well as visiting local wineries. The room and overall hotel experience was less than expected - furnishings were tired, amenities were common and there were no comfortable common areas to enjoy, including a reasonable outdoor sitting experience. WIFI was out for our entire stay.
There is no parking, not even a loading zone to unload your bags. Their website says they will help when you arrive, but the girl who answered when I called couldn’t be bothered and I walked a quarter of a mile with my stuff and my dogs bed etc. Even after paying 60$ a night to have my dog stay in the hotel room (a back room clearly they couldn’t book any normal guest in) the room was equipped with a dog bed and dog bowl fit for a chihuahua. I expressed my disappointment to customer service, but got no response. I’ve stayed with Four Sisters inns for over 15 years, but clearly a company that doesn’t care about their clients or their happiness. Won’t be trusting them again. More issues with the room cleanliness and safety; location is the only reason for three stars.
Positives first: -- GREAT LOCATION!! -- Daniel the breakfast cook was so sweet and made unique meals every day!! -- The bed was extremely comfortable -- Gas fireplace was a nice touch Now, the not so great: -- Bathroom: small and the Shower was awful (see below) and no night light -- Friendly but not available front desk after 8pm (for these prices?!?!) -- What kind of "high class" hotel these days has no way to plug in electronic devices except by having to UNPLUG clocks and/or lights?!?! Comments: -- We were asked in an automatic email soon after arrival if there was anything you could do to make our stay better. I IMMEDIATELY responded and told you that the showerhead and water pressure was TERRIBLE. This was never fixed and made our stay extremely disappointing. -- Our thermostat was not working and we called down (at 6pm when someone was supposed to be there) at least 3-4 times and no one answered. We then called your 800 number, left a message and never got a return call. I had to try and fix it myself. -- No house keeping service (when your competition around town - HH, H2H & Les Mars- is) What's that about?!?! Do you need to know anything more?…
