Camellia Inn is the best. Best location (walk everywhere in town), best owners (Lucy and Archie could not be nicer!), comfy beds, great breakfast, super attentive to all your needs and questions. We always stay at Camellia Inn when visiting Healdsburg, something we do about once a year to pick up wine in Dry Creek. Would not think of staying anywhere else. The restaurants in Healdsburg are excellent. Just ask Lucy or Archie for their recommendations. You cannot go wrong.
We recently returned from a four night stay at the Camellia Inn in mid March 2020. We have stayed here on several other occasions and this visit was like all the others - fantastic! The owners Lucy and Archie are great hosts and are friendly and helpful. They are long-time Healdsburg residents so they know the area well. If you need a good recommendation for food, a winery, or activity in the area - they are a great resource. Breakfast is from 8:30am to 10am and was always delicious. The rooms are spotless and cozy. It is a wonderful relaxing place. The Inn is one block away from from several fantastic restaurants in downtown Healdsburg, including Single Thread, Valette, Dry Creek Kitchen (2 blocks), Baci (3 blocks), and Barndiva (4 blocks). There are other great nearby restaurant options that Lucy and Archie can recommend as well. The Inn is about 2 blocks from the town square. There are lots of quaint shops nearby. Healdsburg is centrally located in Sonoma wine country. It is easy to get to the Dry Creek area, Russian River Valley, and Alexander Valley. Napa Valley is about 45 minutes south and the Anderson Valley is about an hour north. We would highly recommend this Inn!…
My husband and I have been staying at the Camellia Inn since 2007; we have come up with our daughter and as a getaway as a couple. Lucy is so warm and welcoming, we always feel like we are returning to our Sonoma home away from home. We love the breakfast and the sharing times around the bountiful table. The afternoon wine and cheese is a wonderful transition into the evening. We stayed in a fireplace queen room; if Healdsburg and the surrounding wine country wasn't so much fun, I could have stayed in all day!
Lucy and Archie are consummate hosts in their charming, quiet and tastefully appointed B&B. They are there when you need them but allow their guests to enjoy their beautiful historic property and grounds on their own so that you get to imagine that you live there during your visit. The rooms are sparkling clean, the breakfast is delicious and plentiful, the beds are super comfy and the Inn is an easy walk to all the great shops and restaurants in Healdsburg. And if you’re in town for wine tasting, Lucy will hand you a hefty list of wineries where you can get free tastings and can point you in the right direction. This is a lovely Inn but what makes it even more special are it’s lovely hosts.
Lovely knowledgeable people, delicious breakfast, nice pool. They advised us on the best wineries, restaurants and things of interest to do in town. Our room was bright, cheery and comfortable. the Inn is located near town, so we coulcd walk everywhere!
