We stayed here one night and it was fine, however I agree with other reviewers the design of the room is odd and a bit sterile for my taste. There is a long skinny window high above the bed that cannot be covered and so the light comes in as soon as the sun rises. I am not sure why that window is there. The bathroom has no place to put any toiletries! For two people it is just ridiculous and there is a ton of wasted space in there, so they could have easily added a simple cabinet or storage shelves. They also put us in a handicap room, which was not needed and the hotel was empty. The location and breakfast were good and the people are nice, but I would stay elsewhere if I go back to Healdsburg.
This hotel is not worth staying in. It has a great location but that is all. The hotel is made of cheap products over all: You can hear people on the upper floors very clearly, you can hear the water flow in piping when someone next door is taking a shower. Our room was on the third floor, and we kept hearing loud sounds that happened to be from piping. Bathroom has a very poor design with a large jacuzzi and no shower door, getting everything wet.
This was our 2nd stay at H2 and it was consistent - just as great as our first stay. The beds and linens are so cozy and I got a great night's sleep. The bathroom is clean, modern, functional, and sleek. I love the convenience of having both a desk setup and mini-fridge in the room. The room is well-appointed clearly thought out to maximize space, comfort and design. One of my favorite things about the hotel is the convenience and availability of filtered water. The water station on each floor offers both still and sparkling water taps and they provide reusable glass bottles in the room for each.
Absolutely loved this boutique luxury hotel. We’ve made many trips to the area over the years and stayed in several spots nearby-some even more pricey than this hotel’s $500+ nightly rate but our two nights over memorial day weekend were perfect I liked our king room with large spacious bath (although oddly only one tiny sink and no counter space), hardwood floors and clever furnishings. The bed and pillows were nice and bathroom amenities great. A bunch of snacks and water come free as does valet parking and lite continental breakfast in the lobby. There’s a small but beautiful pool out back with lounge chairs and your choice of sun or shade. The location just a block off the square made it easy to leave the car parked and walk to dinner, shopping or wine tastings. The young staff was eager to help and quite friendly. Highly recommended…
H2 is in a great location, right off the square. The staff is excellent and accommodating. The bacon at breakfast is a slight up charge from the included breakfast but so worth the $2. Best bacon I’ve ever had. The room is large and our room included a large balcony. Snacks and beverages are included. Only thing to note is the HVAC is a two pipe system so if it’s cold at night the HVAC won’t cool the room and you will need to leave the widow or door open to dispel the heat of the day. Highly recommend, and we would definitely stay here again.
Great location, service, and beds. However the functionality of the room falls so flat I don’t think I’ll return. The water from the shower is nearly impossible to contain, no fan in the bathroom, broken door handles, and other little details make the stay awkward instead of carefree.
H2 offers travelers some real pluses. A block from the square, it is nonetheless a quiet oasis. The pool is very quiet and serene, the balcony offers outdoor (semi) privacy, bed was comfy, and the plunge pool was my yearly treat (given CA drought conditions). Breakfast was quite fine too. Finally, Mason and Clay at the front desk were friendly, helpful, and always there when we needed a hand. We were warmly welcomed and assisted with storing our bike every day. It is generally pricey, but a good deal lured us there, which is how I would return as well.
I fell in love with h2h when my husband first brought me here 5 yrs ago, and we’ve been coming back ever since! It’s a great city escape for couples - has a pool, lovely bfast, bikes for rent, valet, lots of fun streets to explore, great restaurants and wineries nearby. I’m always looking forward to our next visit.
Pros: sleek contemporary style, well-maintained, delicious breakfast, solid bar, free valet parking, usable WiFi, great location, decent pool area Cons: location close to highway means pool area can get noisy with construction; $$$$ (esp on weekends), there are much better dinner options elsewhere I’ve been coming to the H2 hotel for over 5 years now and I’ve loved every visit. You’re located on the main strip of Healdsburg within a 10 min walk of every single good restaurant and store in the main town and square. You’re near the highway as well. Construction and road noise can be an issue from the pool area but the rooms are well-insulated. There is a great bar (Spoonbar) that opens onto the front sidewalk as well as restaurant that has extended to the back yard with Covid. Breakfast is included and fantastic. However, I’d only recommend the area for drinks afterwards, not dinner. Rooms are beautiful, modern and well-maintained. Super comfortable mattresses and bedding. TVs include apps but no chrome cast option. WiFi is usable which is a good thing since you will likely have very spotty cell phone reception. You can borrow bikes and also make reservations at the Hotel Healdsburg spa (pre-and post-COVID). Overall one of the best and fun hotel options - I personally think this is best for couples and given the limited common area space and small pool area, I think large families, esp with small kids, should go elsewhere.…
I stayed here one night with my sister and one night with my husband, and both stays were amazing! The staff--from the housekeepers to front desk to restaurant staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is pleasant and comfortable. There are lots of perks in staying at this property. Continental breakfast is included, snacks in the room, and the use of bikes. My husband and I took a really lovely ride alongside the vineyards the morning we checked out. We got the route from the hotel website (there were several routes to choose from and varied in length). The hotel is in perfect proximity to the square and to many, many exceptional restaurants. We can hardly wait to return!
