We recently stayed in the Chardonnay room. First of all, the location is great. It is on a quiet little side street and within walking distance to almost everything - parking was a breeze. Second, the staff is great! They were kind, always said hello, and were able to answer any questions. Plus, breakfast was AMAZING - definitely not the standard hotel breakfast. We were sad to miss it the last day! The room was large and comfortable. I would not recommend the Chardonnay room if you are tall - my husband (6' 2") kept knocking his head on the ceiling - the bed is located in a section of the room with a pretty steep ceiling slope. All in all, a great stay and if we ever come back, we're staying at the Grape Leaf Inn again!
Location, amenities and breakfast are awesome. Close to town, private pool and homemade breakfast are great perks. Bedroom and bed was comfortable, as was the private bathroom. Toiletries smelled really nice! A very comfortable place to relax after a long day of wine tours. I highly recommend this inn and hope to return.
We had a wonderful stay at the Grape Leaf Inn on our recent visit to Sonoma. The inn was charming and comfortable and very well located to walking out to dinner and entertainment in the town of Healdsburg. Breakfast was fabulous every day....homemade, creative and always tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful, so all in all, a terrific experience. We rented the Sangiovese Executive King. It was spacious and comfortable. My husband is 6'3" tall and this was one of the rooms without dormer windows. If you are tall, request a room in the new side of the inn. The ceilings are higher upstairs on the new side.
The Inn is only a couple blocks from the center of town, therefore a more affordable option to the expensive downtown Inns. All in all a pleasant stay - some pluses and minuses. + Very clean, updated bathrooms, nice bedding and linens + Spa pool and lounging area + Very nice deck and seating for breakfast + Air conditioning worked well + Cruiser bikes for use, complimentary - Small dormered room, hard to maneuver around sometimes - No closet in the room for hanging clothes - Ran out of hot water on 2 occasions for showering - One choice of breakfast item - No help with luggage to second floor - No Happy Hour, or wine and cheese hour as is typical at an Inn in Wine Country
It had been 3 years since we stayed at the Grape Leaf Inn and yet again it did not disappoint. Our room was lovely and clean. The property is so welcoming and comfortable and the addition of the pool is great. We were there for three nights and each breakfast was better than the next. The innkeepers are happy to help with requests and information. It is very close to the town square but nicely tucked away in a residential area. Will definitely be back again.
