Everything went smoothly from the minute we arrived. Will and Candy, who work in the kitchen, were sweet enough to give me a hot cup of coffee before my morning walk and before breakfast; management cannot put coffee out because of COVID restrictions. The location of Grape Leaf is perfect! The area is quiet and you feel very safe walking around anytime of day. We stayed in the Zinfandel room and loved all the light in the room from the 3 skylights and there was a huge tub with jets. We will definitely be back to this BnB.
We found the Inn, and most importantly the staff, to be first rate. The Inn's location is was perfect for strolling through the Downtown square. Our room was comfortable and clean, and we really enjoyed our wonderful breakfast each morning. We will definetly be back.
I was BLOWN away by this charming inn. It’s adults only and is the perfect place for an adult getaway. Very quiet area but close to lively events. The staff is SUPER friendly and very thoughtful. The inn itself is perfectly located just a short walk from the square. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and I wish we had stayed longer. Lots of hand sanitizer stations. My only complaint was the bed was a little creaky and pillows were not the best. I will be back for sure!
First the criticisms: Our room was smaller than the wide angle photo made it appear with only one chair. Not meant to be hung out in I suppose. It was also on the street so we heard the garbage truck one morning. The window facing the street could use a privacy shear, and the shade on the window to the side had to be propped open with a spoon. In house internet was weak. No microwave available (possibly due to covid, but I don't get it.) We needed to get up early one day and wanted coffee. No way to get that either. Getting the water temp right for showers was a challenge! Hot water is scalding-literally and shower faucet finicky, a micro turn the wrong way and the water burned. We learned to get the temperature right in the tub faucet and then turn it to shower. Lastly, we could not control the heat/cooling in our room. We tried, even called, but couldn't get it to turn off, and so slept too warm. I mention these things for informational purposes, because we still had a nice stay! We chalked most imperfections up to the age of the house which is after all, it's charm. The bed was very comfy, and when asked for extra pillows they were given. The wine and macaroons were thoughtful and delicious. I broke one of the glasses and was graciously forgiven. Towels, robes (I used for the spa) absorbent and big. Lotions and soaps very nice, and I appreciate the Grape Leaf not using tiny plastic bottles for everything! The pool/spa was amazing! I appreciated the warmth of the water! Lastly, the breakfasts were so very delicious! You just can't get food like that in hotels. Even the morning we got up too early for a seated breakfast, the staff prepared a to go box with fresh fruit, fresh yogurt, home made granola and hard boiled eggs (could have used a bit of salt and pepper- and we had to stop for coffee) which we pic nicked on after our balloon ride! Staff was cordial and price point as expected. Healdsburg is a darling town and the Grape Leaf is easy walking distance to the town square and all it offers.…
