Loved this place. It’s a remodeled 1950s motel. Designed in a square horseshoe. 14 rooms, all one story. Park in front of your room. I stayed in a standard queen. Super clean. Air con excellent. The fridge kept things nice and cold. A lovely heated pool far enough away from the rooms so pool play noise is negligible in the rooms. Grounds are well kept. Continental breakfast in the office: coffee, tea,, orange juice, fresh-baked berry scones, bananas, hard-boiled eggs, and instant oatmeal. Family run. Friendly owners. There’s a cat on the premises, which is always a plus for me. It’s funky and charming, not your pampered B&B experience, but you can’t beat it for the price. I paid $110. Yowsa. I would definitely return.
Referred by another motel as L&M were dog friendly. Well, not only dog friendly but just downright friendly and pleasant. Rooms are the best of old and new with attention and care in maintenance.. Homemade berry scones for breakfast were a delight. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
We booked 10 months ahead of time for a Memorial Day weekend wedding at gorgeous Ru's Farm (5-minute drive from the motel). On our prior stays in Healdsburg, we have stayed at the Best Western Dry Creek but due to the holiday weekend, we booked L & M for a more reasonable rate. We prefer a more low key and friendly property and this is it! We love that it is family run and owned for decades by the same family. Wanda and her mom Kim were so welcoming. The location to Healdsburg central square is just a 10-minute walk (much closer than the BW). Our room (#3) was not fancy but very clean and comfortable. The included continental breakfast of great coffee, fruit, oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, and delicious homemade scones was perfect for us. We enjoyed breakfast in the lobby chatting with Wanda, her cute pups, and other very friendly hotel guests(they get many return guests). The pool area is lovely. They have a firepit and nice outdoor areas to enjoy. Wifi worked great. Thank you, Wanda, for welcoming us so warmly and for sharing the scone recipe too! - Dave and Ann…
Wanda was so accommodating and friendly! Walking distance to shopping, wine tasting, and restaurants. Beautiful grounds and gardens in full bloom. The remodeled pool area is great! Nice temperature for the pool with lounge chairs for relaxing. We used the Jacuzzi and sauna as well. In the evening, Wanda lit the fire pit and we relaxed and visited around the fire. This is unlike any "motel" stay you will ever experience. From check in to hot breakfast scones, we felt like part of the family! You can't go wrong with L&M
The L&M Motel had many of the chain places in town beat hands-down. Wanda greeted us with a warm welcome and lots of useful advice as we got oriented for our one-night stay. The grounds are immaculately kept with clean, well-equipped rooms and an inviting pool, hot tub, and sauna area. Although it is a bit of a walk, it is a flat hike into town for what seemed like endless choices of restaurants, tasting rooms, and shopping opportunities. If you're looking for a wonderful value and delicious fresh homemade scones for breakfast, this is well worth the visit.
